The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Why Was She Forcibly Restrained?

Meanwhile.

Yang Guang brought two officers back to the police station.

When they left, they initially thought it was just an ordinary call, not expecting things to get so complicated.

Now, Yang Guang was wide awake.

”Mr. Yang, if this really is a homicide case, the selection for the Peaceful Police Station Award this year is going to be ruined.”

One of the officers said worriedly.

”We did a lot of work in the early stages; is it really all going to be in vain?”

Another officer sighed and shook his head.

Mr. Yang also furrowed his brow, feeling very annoyed.

It’s like a child full term in the womb about to be miscarried.

What mother would be willing?

Mr. Yang lit a cigarette, took a couple of puffs, and asked, ”Are you sure that woman was murdered?”

After a brief pause, both officers said, ”We have some doubts, but we’re not entirely sure.”

Yang Guang said, ”Jiang An’s analysis from the criminal investigation team makes sense, but it may not be the truth.”

”Thinking back now, it doesn’t seem like the homicide cases we usually see.”

”Think about it, whether during police academy or in movies, which murder cases are this calm?”

After listening to Yang Guang, the two officers pondered for a while.

”Mr. Yang, if this is really a homicide case, something is still missing right now.”

Yang Guang said, ”I personally think we cannot rule out the possibility of an accidental sudden death.”

”Nowadays, young people are like spinning tops, going non-stop every day, so sudden death isn’t surprising.”

”But Mr. Yang, what about the girl’s missing personal belongings?”

Yang Guang said, ”As I said at the scene, we can’t rule out the possibility that a thief took them.”

After a brief pause, he continued, ”We’re at a critical moment for the Peaceful Police Station Award selection, so we must not be careless.”

”We must also take action to find habitual thieves in the area and see if they opportunistically took the deceased’s belongings.”

Finally, Yang Guang said, ”If this suspicion can be properly resolved, then I think the conclusion of homicide on this death case won’t hold.”

The two officers across from him both said, ”Mr. Yang, we’ll listen to you!”

At this moment, inside the Jiang City Forensic Autopsy Center.

Li Jian, Wu You, and Zhang Yean, after a burst of amazement, all looked up at Jiang An.

Zhang Yean asked, ”This red distribution is very strange!”

Wu You said, ”It should be subcutaneous muscle bleeding.”

Li Jian said, ”The deceased wasn’t treated by a doctor, how could there be bleeding in her chest?”

Jiang An put down the scalpel and said, ”Without a doubt, this red appearance in the muscle is hemorrhage alteration.”

”However, this bleeding is very peculiar, unlike the usual!”

”If it were bleeding from a doctor’s resuscitation, it usually appears at the front of the heart.”

”But this bleeding is widespread and horizontally distributed.”

After pondering for a while, Jiang An said, ”I suspect this bleeding may have been caused by pressure from a linear object.”

”Pressure from a linear object?”

Li Jian and Zhang Yean were instantly confused.

Wu You followed this train of thought, seemingly having a vague understanding.

Inside the tent, there was no other hard object at all?

Why would the chest be bleeding without any reason?

At this moment, Zhang Yean guessed, ”Could it be caused by a man’s assault?”

Jiang An remained composed and said, ”I don’t think so; the intensity wouldn’t be that great from an assault. Even if it was bleeding from violent coercion, it wouldn’t cover such a large area.”

”Then it’s strange!”

Captain Li Jian said, ”Could it be that the deceased was hit with a stick by someone before death?”

Jiang An said, ”That’s possible, but unlikely.”

”Generally, sticks are quite hard. If someone hit the deceased’s chest, it would likely cause rib fractures.”

”However, the deceased’s ribs are intact.”

While speaking, Jiang An said, ”I think there’s another possibility!”

”What is it?”

Zhang Yean asked anxiously, like an ant in a hot pot.

Jiang An said, ”Before I say this possibility, we need one more important evidence!”

As soon as he finished speaking, he reached out and quickly turned the female deceased’s body 180 degrees.

Soon, the female deceased changed from a supine to a prone position.

Zhang Yean exclaimed, ”Brother, forensics is also a physical job!”

Jiang An slightly adjusted the deceased’s body position.

He immediately picked up two willow leaf blades and made an incision at the central point of the deceased’s shoulder blades on the back.

Then, the blade moved up and down.

Upward, extending to the occipital region of the scalp.

Downward, extending to the buttocks.

While Wu You marveled at the two-handed dissection, he seemed to vaguely guess Jiang An’s idea.

Li Jian and Zhang Yean were stunned to see the flesh split open on the back.

Jiang An looked gentle and handsome.

Yet in the dissection room, he seemed like a completely different person.

However, both felt that Jiang An’s current state was indeed appropriate.

This is in the forensic dissection room.

This is how a seasoned forensic expert should be!

After making the vertical incision, Jiang An separated the skin and muscle at the shoulder blades of the deceased on both sides.

When the shoulder blades on both sides were fully exposed to the four people.

Wu You figured it out!

He seemed to roughly guess Jiang An’s inference.

But Li Jian and Zhang Yean were more confused!

Li Jian frowned deeply, lost in thought.

Zhang Yean exclaimed, ”My gosh! Why is there bleeding at the back shoulder blades of the deceased too?”

”Weird! Too weird!”

She glanced at Jiang An and asked, ”Could it have been someone attacking from behind?”

”And I don’t think it was just one hit!”

Jiang An said in a deep voice, ”This is the other evidence I was looking for!”

Zhang Yean urgently asked, ”Brother, tell me quickly! My heart is itching!”

Jiang An said, ”I believe this is the result of the deceased being forcibly restrained while lying on a mat!”

”Lying on her back?”

”Forcibly restrained?”

Zhang Yean couldn’t react for a moment, repeating two keywords.

Wu You nodded, aligning with his own guess.

Seeing the questioning faces of Li Jian and Zhang Yean, Jiang An explained, ”For the muscle hemorrhage on the front chest and back shoulder blades of the deceased, I don’t think it was from separate impacts.”

”As I mentioned earlier, if it was caused by a stick hit, there would likely be fractures, but this deceased’s bones are intact.”

”I think the hemorrhage at the front chest and shoulder blade areas of the deceased formed at the same time.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang An quickly turned the body 180 degrees again.

Then, Jiang An bent down, extended his arm, and pressed it on the deceased’s chest.

Jiang An said, ”When the chest is controlled and pressed upon, the shoulder blades on the back are raised. Since there’s something underneath, they could also bleed from pressure.”

After a long time, Captain Li Jian reacted, looked at the body, and asked solemnly, ”If she died from poisoning, why would she still be forcibly controlled?”

”What was the purpose of forcibly restraining the deceased?”
