Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2368: Chapter 2361: Farewell

”Well done!” He Fusheng was happy to hear He Yue say that, ”Your mom and I have been honest our whole lives, never thought we’d have a daughter like you who’s quick-witted and stands her ground!”

”Dad, are you complimenting me?” He Yue blinked her eyes and laughed, ”I definitely won’t be like my big brother, such a blockhead! Kick him three times, and he won’t even let out a fart!”

”Hahaha!” Ning Chenguang burst out laughing.

An Hao glanced at Qin Jian with a smile. At the moment their eyes met, they had a brief exchange.

They reached a consensus that their son wouldn’t face any grievances in the village.

In the afternoon, the Qin Family and He Fusheng were at home chatting over tea.

Taking advantage of the kids’ nap time, An Hao went out for a while. When she returned, the sunset was already descending, and the sun was about to set below the horizon.

Seeing An Hao return, He Fusheng stood up to say goodbye, ”Sister-in-law, I plan to take the kids and leave now! I checked when I came, and there’s still a train going back tonight! I thought I’d let you and Guangguang have a proper farewell before we go.”

”Thank you, Brother He! You don’t need to take the train; Qin Jian has arranged a car to take you!” As An Hao spoke, she brought things in from the doorway, ”Take these with you; we will trouble you with Guangguang over there!”

”Hey! Sister-in-law, what are you doing? There’s no need for this! I can’t accept these things. You already gave us a lot last time, and a good deal of money. I can’t accept anything more this time!”

”Brother He, please accept it all! This is a mother’s heart. If you don’t take it, I won’t feel at ease! My child’s illness is worry enough; you wouldn’t want to see me troubled by these things, would you?” An Hao insisted, packing the bags.

He Fusheng couldn’t stop her and had to let An Hao pack things for them.

He watched as she packed, noticing biscuits, bread, fruit, canned goods, instant noodles, and many foods he had never seen. He also saw the gifts and clothes An Hao bought for He Yue and He Mu.

These things would probably take them farmers more than a year’s work to earn.

But, to An Hao, it wasn’t about the money. As long as her son could be well, any amount was worth it.

An Hao packed a pile of things for Ning Chenguang, filling the floor with various bags.

Lastly, Qin Jian took out two bottles of his treasured Maotai liquor and slipped them into the luggage, along with a stack of money.

Finally, Ning Chenguang was to leave with He Fusheng.

The family said their goodbyes downstairs. An Hao hugged Ning Chenguang for a long time before letting go, ”Go now, dear, be good! Remember to take your medicine, don’t skip it! Got it?”

”Mm!”

”And remember to miss mom and dad!”

”Mm-hmm!”

”Little rascal, get better soon and come home early! We’re all waiting for you!” Qin Jian patted his son’s head, bent down, and kissed him, ”Go on!”

”Goodbye, mom and dad! Tell brother I’ll miss him!”

The car drove away, carrying with it Qin Jian and An Hao’s endless longing and expectations...

Half a month later, the rural medical team finally returned to the city.

Yan Huan successfully completed her interview tasks, organizing a pile of detailed and abundant documentation.

However, Qiu Xinyi’s documentation was much less.
