Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2360: Chapter 2353: Things Will Get Better

”He... he’ll get better.” An Hao’s eyes heated up, tears swirling before she managed to hold them back again, ”He misses Yueyue so much! If he knew Yueyue was here, he’d definitely be very happy.”

Qin Jian saw that An Hao was upset again and raised his hand to hug her shoulder: ”It’s fine, so many people care about Guangguang, he will definitely get better! Don’t cry, let Brother He and Yueyue make fun of you.”

”No laughing! What would I laugh about! To be honest, I also feel terrible in my heart, this child is smart, kind, and likable! I genuinely adore him... I’ve come to see him as my own child!”

”You all treat him like your own son, we understand! Thank you, Brother He!” An Hao wiped her tears, someone who would give all the good food to Guangguang and eat plain rice with pickled vegetables must truly love Guangguang.

”Auntie, don’t be sad. Our village has a Goddess of Mercy Temple, my mom often goes there to light incense for Guangguang. She says the Goddess there is very effective, surely Guangguang will get better!” He Yue loudly comforted An Hao.

”Good kid!” Qin Jian smiled and praised He Yue.

The lively sounds in the car disturbed Ning Chenguang, who slowly opened his eyes and murmured to An Hao: ”Mom, I had a dream and heard Uncle He and Yueyue’s voices in it.”

An Hao smiled, gently stroked Ning Chenguang’s little face and asked: ”Do you want to see them?”

”Very much, very much,” Ning Chenguang nodded, ”I miss Uncle He’s little yard, oh, and Brother He Mu, and Auntie...”

”Look, who’s here!” Qin Jian pointed to the person in the passenger seat.

Before Little Chenguang could sit up, He Yue excitedly stretched her little head over and sweetly called out: ”Big brother, you finally woke up!”

”Yueyue!” Just moments ago, Little Chenguang’s eyes were dull, but now he suddenly sprang up from An Hao’s lap, eyes shining, ”Yueyue! And Uncle He! You’re all here!”

An Hao and Qin Jian couldn’t help but smile at this scene.

Until now, Ning Chenguang had been listless, and just seeing He Yue was like a burst of energy, dispelling his sickly state.

”Yes! Big brother, you don’t know how much He Mu wants to come, my dad wouldn’t bring him! He was so anxious he was scratching his ears and cheeks!” He Yue laughed with eyes bent in delight, ”Dad spoils me more!”

”Yueyue, the slingshot Brother He Mu gave me is so fun! I also want to give Brother He Mu something fun!” Ning Chenguang said, brimming with excitement, nowhere showing any signs of illness.

”Great!” He Yue clapped hands happily and said, ”Brother will definitely be very happy to know.”

”Uncle He, next time you come, you must bring Brother! I’ll show him around the military district courtyard here!”

”Alright. Good kid.” He Fusheng was brimming with joy.

”Big brother, big brother! Look over there, so many soldiers! They’re all wearing green uniforms! So beautiful! They’re all saluting us!” He Yue was extremely excited.

”That’s because my dad is a regiment commander! Do you know what that means? He can lead lots of people!” With maturity, Ning Chenguang came to understand his father’s position.

In his heart, father was his pride! He was a great existence!

”Big brother, when I grow up, I want to be a soldier too!” He Yue quietly made a firm decision, ”I love it here!”

”Alright! You’ll become a soldier and I will too!” Ning Chenguang patted his chest and said, ”I’ll protect Yueyue in the future!”
