Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2148: Chapter 2143: Let’s Not See Each Other Again

“Hua Jin, why did you suddenly go to a medical conference?” Yuan Yunong asked discontentedly.

“What does that have to do with you? Just perform your tasks! How many months has it been now? How is the data collection going over there?” Hua Jin inquired.

“It seems to be almost done! However, we missed the second data transmission! Hua Jin, I don’t suggest we go steal the information again!” Yuan Yunong said.

“Why? Has something gone wrong?”

“This batch of data only shows the usage status of these weapons. According to the information I’ve received, these weapons are undergoing slight adjustments. After these adjustments, the weapons will be even more precise in their strikes! Additionally, their performance will be greatly improved compared to before!”

“We don’t care about those! Yunong, you need to be clear that as long as someone wants to buy, we must get the data! That’s enough!” After Hua Jin finished speaking, fearing the sound would drift out of the window, he specifically closed it.

“But obtaining this batch of data is very risky! I’m worried I might be exposed! Hua Jin, you need to come up with a way, if not, let Hou Zicheng do it! He might be able!” Yuan Yunong couldn’t risk herself.

The longer she stayed around Qin Jian, the more she realized this man was quite unusual.

Now that Lin Qiushu went abroad, she’s the only one around Qin Jian, worried that if she made any moves, she’d be discovered by Qin Jian.

Before completing her second task, she couldn’t act rashly.

Moreover, she couldn’t be caught or die now; the hatred between her, Qin Jian, and An Hao hasn’t concluded yet. She’s still hoping for a beautiful future with Hua Jin.

“Hou Zicheng can’t go! He’s already being heavily monitored by the National Security Bureau! But he’s quite formidable, being watched for so long without anyone catching evidence!” There was a hint of admiration in Hua Jin’s words about Hou Zicheng.

He’s one of the older individuals in the organization, it seems age has its advantages, at least in being more cautious.

“What about the third batch of data?” Yuan Yunong asked for his instructions.

“Don’t worry about it. Neither of you should act rashly anymore!” The data is not necessary, but the subsequent missions must be completed.

One is for money, the other is for the organization’s future.

Weighing the two, Hua Jin decided to give up the former.

Yuan Yunong thought Hua Jin had another plan; her first thought was: “Are you planning to personally take action?”

“What are you thinking? I’m not going! I have a new identity now, can’t roam the city like before! Remember, don’t meet me easily again in the future!” Hua Jin said.

“Why?” Yuan Yunong felt very aggrieved upon hearing this.

“Yan Ye is also here with me. Don’t forget, that night our car almost collided with his. It seems now that he doesn’t recognize me, but who knows about the future! If we get discovered, troubles will follow one after another!” Hua Jin said.

“Without you, I can’t manage on my own!”

“There’s nothing you can’t handle! Yunong, you previously entered Russia alone, went to Japan, even South Africa, and your tasks were completed excellently! Why are there frequent issues this time?” Hua Jin’s tone intensified, carrying a touch of dissatisfaction.
