Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2125: Chapter 2020: Double Mission

”Anger is your fatal weakness. If you don’t manage it well, it can easily become your slip-up! Don’t forget, the people you’re dealing with are not ordinary. Qin Jian and An Hao are both intelligent, taking on two people by yourself isn’t easy! Plus, their friends are no pushovers; you’ll need to deal with them! This is a very tough task!” Hua Jin’s voice was slow, analyzing the problem Yuan Yunong was facing, hoping she could calm down.

”But every moment I want to kill Qin Jian and An Hao both! Hua Jin, can I find another way to get you the data you need? Stop torturing people like this!”

”Of course not!” Hua Jin’s face darkened, ”Have I been too lenient with you? Now you’ve learned to constantly bargain with me? There can’t be any issues with Qin Jian and An Hao! Remember this, not even a hair out of place! No malicious thoughts whatsoever! Otherwise, you really won’t have any place to die!”

”Just being treated as an enemy by the entire national army?” Yuan Yunong raised her head and said disdainfully, ”I’m not afraid! How many years have I been crossing the intelligence world? Have I ever had a problem?”

”Hong Mei never had a problem either! However, people will have times when they’re down on their luck!” Hua Jin said.

”During her mission this time, her intelligence basically seemed non-existent!” Yuan Yunong lamented about Hong Mei, ”But there’s no choice! She did try very hard, but her intelligence just can’t compare with mine!”

”We’ve already lost Hong Mei. We can’t afford to lose you as well!” Hua Jin said, ”Think about the tasks you’re carrying! It’s not just as simple as data theft! You have more critical tasks! This is a dual mission, if you can complete it, you’ll establish a unique position within the organization!”

Yuan Yunong seemed to still be hesitating as Hua Jin leaned in, grasped her chin, and gave her a light kiss.

The instant their lips touched, Yuan Yunong’s heart raced.

When she wanted more from Hua Jin, he suddenly let go of her, his gaze lingering on her face, a captivating smile playing at his lips: ”Yunong, is that enough? Enough to calm your restless heart?”

”Not enough!” Yuan Yunong’s breath became heavier.

”Wait until you’ve controlled your emotions, then complete the task!”

”Okay. You said it!”

”Mm.” Hua Jin nodded.

”Alright. I will strive to control my emotions!” Yuan Yunong took a deep breath, ”I still have a grudge to settle, so I must endure!”

”Actually, if you can really put yourself in Yuan Yunong’s shoes, dealing with them isn’t all that difficult! You did very well before! Just keep it up!” Hua Jin encouraged.

”Alright!” Yuan Yunong calmed down significantly after her outburst and Hua Jin’s effective comfort, ”Hua Jin, I can refrain from harming them as a couple, I can choose another way for revenge, would you not obstruct me?”

”Sure! As long as you complete the tasks I’ve assigned to you, I won’t put any other restrictions!” Hua Jin said, spreading his hands.

”Great.” Yuan Yunong’s lips curved into a smile.
