Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2142: Chapter 2137: The Answer Is on the Tip of the Tongue

“Hmm. On the train back this time, I happened to meet him also taking the train! Strange, isn’t he an expert from the United States? Why didn’t he fly here but come from Nancheng City?” An Hao whispered to Yan Ye.

“I heard his hometown is Nancheng City.” Yan Ye had heard a little about it.

“Oh…”

After An Hao and Yan Ye finished their discussion, they heard the young man introduce himself: “Hello everyone, I’m Hua Jin! From Florence, United States…”

“It really is him!” An Hao exclaimed in surprise, “Oh my God! What did I do on the train? I treated him like a bad guy the whole way! Even used a magazine to keep my distance from him!”

“It’s okay! You’re not to blame for what you didn’t know!” Yan Ye thought An Hao was feeling guilty and casually comforted her.

“It’s not that. I mean, if I had asked him a few more questions back then, it would have been great. I had an extra opportunity to talk with him compared to others! I really am an idiot, completely missed it myself.” An Hao clutched her chest in regret.

Hua Jin seemed to have heard her, casually glanced in her direction with a smile as delicate as a chrysanthemum on his lips.

“No worries. That was just your first encounter! There will be many opportunities like this in the future! You’ll have the chance to meet even more amazing medical experts! Don’t blame yourself, just listen carefully!” Yan Ye comforted An Hao a bit.

“Alright!”

An Hao focused her attention, quietly listening to the man as he talked about his medical research achievements and discoveries.

He seemed to be just over thirty years old, and achieving such success was truly remarkable. His explanation was thorough, eloquent, and he spoke with wit and grace. Calling him a talented young person was certainly no exaggeration.

Usually, reports were quite dull, and after listening to one, An Hao would feel dizzy. This time, An Hao didn’t feel that way at all.

After nearly two hours of explanation, An Hao still felt like she wanted more.

“It was really good!” Yan Ye applauded and leaned over to An Hao, saying, “This guy is really impressive! But… An Hao, I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere before?”

“Right?” An Hao’s eyes lit up, “I also feel like I’ve seen him somewhere. If you hadn’t mentioned it, I would almost forget! Yan, think about it. Just by myself, I don’t think I can figure it out.”

Dr. Lu saw the two of them chatting happily and joined in saying, “I also think he looks familiar!”

“Could it be that the three of us have seen him at the same time?” An Hao was shocked and quickly began to speculate, “At the hospital? Or when the three of us were kidnapped at the same time? Or when else?”

Yan Ye and Dr. Lu shook their heads in confusion.

An Hao felt the answer was on the tip of her tongue, but she just couldn’t say it.

Until noon, when they returned to the dining hall for lunch.

The three of them still hadn’t figured it out.

Originally, Hua Jin was invited as an expert, and the school had to treat him specially, including inviting him for a meal.

However, Hua Jin refused.

He went to the cafeteria and got some food, and from afar, he saw An Hao and his two colleagues sitting there eating, so he walked over with large strides.

Just as An Hao was eating, a face suddenly flashed in her mind, and she finally remembered: “I know where I’ve seen him before!”
