Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2107: Chapter 2102: Taken Care Of

”What’s there to be cautious about Qiushu? Even if she were a spy, she has no reason to harm us!” Qin Jian said, ”As long as she still loves Yan Ye, she wouldn’t do anything outrageous. Besides, she’s my family.”

”We’re just speculating now. You should be more cautious and careful. Perhaps you can use the method we tried last time to test Lin Qiushu. Maybe you’ll uncover something unexpected!” An Hao said.

”The possibility is low, but don’t worry! It seems there’s no flaw in the opponent’s actions now, but that doesn’t guarantee none will appear in the future. The more one does, the greater the chance of showing a flaw.” Therefore, Qin Jian was not afraid of the opponent taking action, but rather feared they wouldn’t.

”I’ve explained everything! Let’s get some early rest!”

”Alright.” Qin Jian nodded, picked up An Hao in his arms, and walked towards the bed. ”Let me give you lots of kisses, otherwise we’ll have to wait a month.”

........................

The next day, An Hao boarded the train, accompanied by Yan Ye and Dr. Lu.

The day before departure, An Hao took a rest for the whole day and had a good night’s sleep, feeling fully refreshed.

Dr. Lu had completed a surgery only at dawn and hadn’t slept all night. Once on the train, he began catching up on sleep.

An Hao flipped through a book, glanced at it, then closed it, and simply started chatting with Yan Ye.

”Mr. Yan, what has Qiushu been up to lately?”

Yan Ye turned his head and smiled at An Hao, ”She’s been resting recently. As you heard during the New Year, the elderly lady has been pushing hard, always wanting us to have a child.”

”So, is she expecting now?” An Hao asked.

”Not yet. She’s adjusting her health and boosting nutrition. Once I return from training in the capital, we’ll be ready to create new life!” Yan Ye said with a smile on his lips.

”Then let me wish you all the best! I hope you have your little one soon!” An Hao replied with a smile.

”Yes, indeed. Qiushu takes this matter very seriously, and so she’s handling lots of business.” Yan Ye recalled the businesses she was handling and felt a sense of regret, but Qiushu alone couldn’t possibly manage it all, so dealing with it seemed fitting.

”What businesses has she handled?” An Hao asked in surprise, ”She didn’t handle Nanguofeng, did she?”

”Yes! From now on, Nanguofeng belongs to someone else. The Jade Store is handled too, as is the mall booth, leaving only a wine corner.” Yan Ye explained one by one.

”My God! Qiushu is so decisive? She built these businesses herself, and just quit like that? But only selling wine doesn’t seem very profitable, does it?”

After all, people’s consumption levels now are different than they were twenty years later.

”She’s now venturing into a new business! Besides wine, there’s stocks too!” Yan Ye said.

The eighties were a time when a small stall could sell something casually and get rich quick.

As the nineties came, the country ushered in a wave of stock trading frenzy.

The first batch of investors made huge profits.

Many people started their fortunes here.

After hearing the word ’stocks’ from Yan Ye, An Hao’s eyes suddenly lit up: ”You know Hou Zicheng, right? Is he trading stocks with Qiushu?”

”How did you know?” Yan Ye looked at An Hao in surprise.

”I just overheard them talking about bold trading...” An Hao couldn’t resist talking about what she overheard that night.
