Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2120: Chapter 2115: Chose to Conceal

Although he has taken off his military uniform, he still keeps an eye on everything in the barracks.

Moreover, he is the son-in-law of the army commander, so it’s not difficult for him to get some information.

He and Guan Qing heard Commander Guan talking about this matter on the phone, so both of them remembered it.

For many years, Guan Qing has maintained a decent relationship with Hou Zicheng.

And, after Nanguofeng was taken away by others, Guan Qing did indeed have a quiet period. During that time, Guan Qing’s mental state was very poor.

She thought about starting over, but she couldn’t pull herself together.

During this period, Hou Zicheng helped her countless times, big and small, so her relationship with Hou Zicheng remained good.

From time to time, Guan Qing would pull him along to meet with Boss Hou, during which the three of them would talk about things in the army.

Boss Hou knew quite a lot, not only about domestic troops but also about foreign ones. He even knew some things about the UK’s MI6.

This was something Hen Zhiyuan never expected.

At first, he just thought Boss Hou was an out-and-out military enthusiast.

He gradually went from resisting Boss Hou to accepting him, even sharing secrets with Boss Hou.

However, what he didn’t expect was, after he shared this secret with Boss Hou.

Soon, this matter was leaked.

He immediately became suspicious of Boss Hou because Boss Hou had business and a house domestically, so finding him wouldn’t be difficult.

Thus, he went to confront Boss Hou in person.

Boss Hou admitted that he carelessly let it slip while someone happened to overhear.

Hen Zhiyuan didn’t believe it.

How could the world be so careless and coincidental?

He insisted it was Boss Hou and threatened to report the situation to the National Security Bureau.

At this moment, Boss Hou told him, if he went to the National Security Bureau, the investigation wouldn’t just involve Boss Hou, but also Guan Qing, himself, and even Commander Guan.

Hen Zhiyuan knew that once Commander Guan was investigated, his military career would be tainted.

Commander Guan was due to retire in a few years, and he hoped the commander could complete his honorable military service without any blemishes.

Because he himself had ruined his life.

He didn’t want to ruin the commander’s, knowing how painful it is to take off the commander’s uniform! He didn’t want the commander to feel the same!

In the end, he compromised and chose to conceal.

What a coincidence.

Just as they quieted down, news came that someone was caught trading information, and it was An Hui.

Afterwards, he investigated this An Hui.

He was indeed wronged in this matter, but he wasn’t a good person either, so going to prison was deserved.

So, Hen Zhiyuan chose to conceal it.

In these two years, he has continuously observed Hou Zicheng, and the more he observed, the more he felt Hou Zicheng was like a spy. He secretly collected evidence, hoping that one day he could bring Hou Zicheng to justice.

Not to betray the army’s many years of cultivating him! He loves the army green uniform, loves the barracks that haunt his dreams.

Two years have passed, and despite his growing suspicions about Hou Zicheng, he has hardly gotten a hold of any evidence.

He once thought about finding Qin Jian to talk about this situation, especially after Qin Jian got into trouble. But he never had the courage.

But now, Guan Qing is pregnant.

He wants to accumulate some virtue for his child, so he decided to speak out.

”Hou Zicheng is a spy! I am ninety-nine percent sure!” Hen Zhiyuan said.

At this moment, what Qin Jian thought was, if the secret hadn’t been leaked by one of them, then it meant Lin Qiushu was entirely innocent.

Lin Qiushu is not a spy! Qin Jian finally understood where the problem lay.
