Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2141: Chapter 2136: What Are the Odds?

After leaving the train station, An Hao took a bus. Thankfully, it wasn’t rush hour, so there weren’t many people on the bus.

An Hao found a seat and had just sat down when the seat beside her was quickly taken by another man. She turned her head and happened to see that the person sitting next to her was Hua Jin, whom she had met on the train.

Why is it him again?

An Hao murmured to herself, wondering if this person was following her with some intention.

However, the man simply smiled and nodded at her as a greeting, then turned his head to look out the window at the scenery.

Only then did An Hao breathe a slight sigh of relief.

After transferring buses twice, An Hao finally arrived at the training location.

This was a training and exchange conference organized by a first-class Medical University in the capital. They stayed at the university’s exchange center, with accommodations upstairs.

Downstairs, there was a hall that could accommodate a hundred people for learning and presentations.

When An Hao returned to her lodging, it was already late. After getting back, she had a meal with Yan Ye and Doctor Lu, discussed matters at home, and inquired about the schedule for the following day.

”The young heart specialist will arrive tomorrow morning! He might bring some new research topics on hearts! I’ve heard these topics are his own research and are cutting-edge, challenging topics internationally!” Doctor Lu said.

”Such achievements at a young age! We should pay close attention tomorrow and see if there’s anything we need. We might be able to learn from it!” Yan Ye almost never performs surgeries now; he focuses on teaching.

However, both the university and the hospital were interested in having him form a cutting-edge research group to select a topic for further study.

The Nancheng City Medical Research Institute had also extended an olive branch to him, learning that he no longer operated.

For Yan Ye, any place was the same.

As long as it was related to his beloved medical career, that was enough for him.

”Hearing you both talk like this, I am really a bit curious now,” An Hao couldn’t imagine what kind of man everyone was describing.

”No need to be curious, you’ll see him first thing in the morning. Get some rest early tonight!” Yan Ye stood up and shared some insights from his recent studies with An Hao, ”Take a look, it might help you!”

..............................

Academic Exchange Hall, morning.

All the participants in the training were ready. To get a better view of the talented youth everyone talked about, An Hao sat in a forward position.

She chose a spot in the center with a relatively good view.

At exactly nine o’clock in the morning, the hall’s door opened, and the murmurs ceased.

All eyes turned unanimously towards the door of the hall.

A man appeared, wearing a suit and tie, with well-groomed hair, and an elegant smile on his handsome face, striding towards the podium.

As she looked at this person, An Hao’s eyes widened, and she nudged Yan Ye, who was sitting next to her, asking, ”Mr. Yan, isn’t this the Chinese expert from the American medical community that everyone has been talking about?”

”It should be him!” Yan Ye nodded in affirmation. The morning’s exchange session was indeed his specialized presentation.

”It can’t be such a coincidence, can it?” An Hao found it hard to believe.

”What? Do you know him?” Yan Ye asked.
