Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2130: Chapter 2125: Up to No Good

She said goodbye to Yan Ye and Dr. Lu, who went with her, and snuck back.

An Hao entered the courtyard, and a familiar atmosphere hit her.

Under the sunset, rows of poplar trees stood tall on both sides of the wide road, and the wind rustled the leaves noisily.

Even the grass between the rocks began to grow lush, and occasionally two small birds flew across the sky, landing on the branches, chirping a spring poem.

The warriors’ loud slogans echoed in the vast courtyard above, and An Hao felt this was the most beautiful sound.

Looking at everything familiar in the courtyard, An Hao’s mood inexplicably improved.

Especially when she thought about soon seeing her husband and two children, her heart was filled with expectation and happiness.

”Oh, isn’t this Dr. An coming back?”

An Hao heard someone calling her, turned her head to look back, and saw it was Liao Ting getting off work.

Previously, An Hao and Liao Ting had multiple arguments. Some time ago, she heard Qin Jian say over the phone that the three kids fought again, which caused Zhuang Wenhui’s mother-in-law to get so angry her blood pressure rose, and she was admitted to the hospital.

She had no good impression of this family, except for Wang Zhong and Commissar Wang.

Since they didn’t get along, An Hao simply kept her distance, unless necessary she would absolutely not say a single word more to Liao Ting.

Liao Ting saw An Hao turn back to look at her, didn’t say a word more, turned her head and walked away, but quickly caught up, ”Dr. An, you’re looking down on others! In your eyes, people like us don’t even exist!”

”You’re not just any ordinary person! Manager Liao, if you have something to say, say it directly. If not, then I’m leaving.” An Hao said coolly.

”Of course I do!” Liao Ting quickly said, ”An Hao, even though neither of us can stand each other and we just don’t mesh, we’re both army wives! Our husbands work together and we’re all people from the compound, right? Given that, I’ll tell you something! But please, don’t get mad when you hear it!”

”What do you mean?” An Hao slowed down her pace and asked.

”You don’t understand?”

”You haven’t said anything yet, what should I understand?”

”True enough.” Liao Ting hadn’t spoken yet but began to laugh first, and that smile was quite annoying, ”I’ll tell you! Yuan Yunong snuck into your house while you were away. One evening, I saw Qin Jian carrying a child into your house with a woman. At first, I thought it was you, but then I realized, aren’t you at training? How could it be you? Guess who it was?”

”Yuan Yunong!” An Hao said.

”Exactly!” Liao Ting clapped her hands and continued, ”I thought since you’re not home, Qin Jian and her being alone was inappropriate, so I went and knocked on the door! It turned out Yuan Yunong opened it, guess what I saw?”

”If you have something to say, get to the point! Stop beating around the bush! If not, forget it; if I knew I wouldn’t need you telling me!” An Hao frowned, very displeased.

Seeing An Hao unhappy made Liao Ting glad, and she jumped at the chance, exaggerating the story she witnessed: ”I saw Yuan Yunong holding a wok, cooking in your home! You’re not there, and the two of them seem to be living a life together! Even though we have disputes, our relationship is closer than Yuan Yunong’s, right? I definitely had to stand up for you! But once I spoke up, Qin Jian came out and defended her!”
