Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2115: Chapter 2110: Did I Do Something Wrong?

”Oh! I see! Teacher, the clothes hanging on the rack are clean clothes, the dirty clothes are behind the door, there’s a basket there! Mom usually puts the dirty clothes in it,” Ning Chenyang said.

”Okay.” Yuan Yunong smiled and touched Chenyang’s head, ”Good boy! Go to sleep now, teacher knows.”

”Teacher, I was woken up by the urge to pee! I need to go pee!” Ning Chenyang said, running naked towards the bathroom.

Yuan Yunong quickly took out that thing from Qin Jian’s clothes and looked at it, and it was just a piece of white paper with nothing on it.

She frowned slightly, walked towards the basket behind the door, and just as she was about to tidy up the clothes, she suddenly turned back and plucked a few strands of hair from her head.

Then, she carefully wrapped those strands of hair around the button on Qin Jian’s epaulet, very satisfied with her ’masterpiece’, and then put the clothes back in their place.

When Ning Chenyang came out of the bathroom, Yuan Yunong had already sorted out the dirty clothes.

”Thank you, teacher!” Ning Chenyang walked up to Yuan Yunong and said, hugging her neck and giving her a kiss on the cheek, then went to bed to sleep.

While Yuan Yunong was soaking the dirty clothes in the basin, there was a knock on the door.

She went to open the door and saw Zhao Dong returning with two sugar-coated haws in his hand.

He looked delighted and said, ”Do you know how lucky you are? You wouldn’t believe it, if I had been a minute later, these last two skewers would have been bought by someone else.”

”Thank you! But I have to finish washing the clothes first before anything else!” Yuan Yunong said apologetically.

”Don’t worry, I’ll help you!” Zhao Dong rolled up his sleeves, ready to wash with Yunong.

Just as they finished, Qin Jian came back, he glanced at the time, it was already almost eleven o’clock.

”It’s so late! I’m sorry I kept you waiting so long!” Qin Jian said as he closed the door.

”It’s no problem! Captain, do you know how virtuous Yunong is? She saw your place was a mess and helped tidy it up, even washed your and the kid’s dirty clothes,” Zhao Dong said.

”You washed the clothes too...” Qin Jian looked at Yuan Yunong, his eyes filled with complicated emotions. Yet, for a moment, no one could guess what he was thinking.

Yuan Yunong noticed Qin Jian’s subtle change in expression, her heart suddenly skipped a beat: ”What’s wrong, Captain Qin? Did I do something wrong?”

”Nothing.” Qin Jian didn’t say anything, just started to take off his uniform.

”Captain, where have you been? There’s a bit of dirt on your sleeve!” Zhao Dong pointed at a patch of mud on Qin Jian’s sleeve and said.

”It’s nothing.”

”Let me wash it for you,” Yuan Yunong said casually.

”No need, just dust it off!” Qin Jian raised his hand and brushed the dirt off, ”Now it’s clean!”

”How can that be? With such a strong smell of gunpowder, if you don’t wash it, the whole place will stink,” Yuan Yunong said.

”Is there a smell on me?”

Yuan Yunong nodded, ”Yes! Didn’t you notice? Hurry up and take it off, I’ll wash it for you!”

”Oh, there’s no need! I won’t wear this uniform tomorrow. I’ll wash it myself tomorrow! It’s late, you should leave! And Zhao Dong, as a company commander, you really aren’t following any discipline! Hurry up and go!” Qin Jian bluntly started to chase them out.

”Hey! Captain, you’re biting the hand that feeds you! Didn’t we just help you with the chores and looked after your kid...” Zhao Dong wailed.
