Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Capítulo 2106: Chapter 2101: Keep It Secret for Now

“This whole thing is quite a coincidence,” Qin Jian thought for a moment and decided to trust An Hao because he couldn’t find any reason not to.

Sometimes, the very people closest to you who seem the least likely to have issues are the ones who do.

“What should we do?” An Hao was troubled by her discovery, “If it were someone else, we could just arrest them and let the national security interrogate them. But this person is Qiushu…”

“Yes, this person is Qiushu… Her identity is a bit special. She’s the daughter-in-law of Deputy Commander Yan and also my cousin. If we recklessly accuse Qiushu of being a spy without concrete evidence, it would be very troublesome… It could ruin the family relationships.”

If Lin Qiushu had any problems here, explaining it to Grandma Xiao would also be difficult.

“Let’s keep this between the two of us for now! We’ll observe more closely during this time, and act once we’ve gathered solid evidence,” An Hao decided.

“I agree with your opinion. Let’s do that then!”

…………

Because of this spy affair, Qin Jian and An Hao didn’t have a very pleasant New Year.

During the New Year, they attended dozens of gatherings.

But aside from overhearing the conversation between Lin Qiushu and Hou Zicheng.

They didn’t uncover any more new discoveries.

The issue was shelved and dragged on until the sunny March.

After the New Year, the hospital quickly settled on An Hao’s plan to go for training.

There’s a specialized training on heart surgery in the capital, and it’s said there will be international experts coming for exchange.

Thus, the hospital decided to send An Hao and Dr. Lu for the training.

Coincidentally, Yan Ye, an excellent cardiac surgeon from Nancheng City, was also going for the exchange.

Though he no longer works at the hospital now, he is still teaching at the school.

If the hospital encounters any unsolvable issues, they still invite Yan Ye for guidance.

The small training exchange group organized by the hospital was set to depart three days later.

The day before departure, An Hao spent the whole day at home getting ready.

She sorted out and arranged her child’s clothes, steamed two baskets of buns, made some sauced beef, and prepared some small snacks like nuts.

By the time she finished all these, it was already late at night.

She rubbed her aching shoulder, ready to pack the clothes she’d take with her the next day.

Only to find Qin Jian had already prepared everything.

“You must be exhausted today. Rest early, and tomorrow morning I’ll take you to the station,”

“I’m leaving tomorrow, don’t you have anything to say to me today?” An Hao sat down and leaned against Qin Jian’s shoulder to ask.

“No. Just one thing, take care of yourself and come back to see us soon,” Qin Jian said, hugging his wife with reluctance.

“The child… Call mom over tomorrow! In the month I’m not here, it’ll be hard on her first.”

“Don’t worry about the child. We’re all here, she won’t be wronged.”

“Take care of yourself too. There’s nothing else I need to remind you of,” An Hao said.

“Alright.” Qin Jian lowered his head and kissed An Hao’s face, “You rest early!”

“Wait!” An Hao sat up straight and said to Qin Jian, “Be careful of Lin Qiushu!”
