Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2111: Chapter 2106: A Man and a Woman Alone

Liao Ting saw Yuan Yunong hesitate for a moment, then laughed, ”Oh, I thought An Hao came back! Turns out it wasn’t. Teacher Yuan, I didn’t expect it to be you!”

”Xiaohu’s mom! Is there something you need?” Yuan Yunong asked.

”No, no. I just saw a woman enter Captain Qin’s house, so I came to see if An Hao had returned.” Liao Ting said with a laugh.

”It’s not An Hao. She went out for training and might not be back for a while! If you’re done, I’ll close the door now.” Yuan Yunong spoke calmly, not showing much annoyance, but also not very happy.

Liao Ting saw that Yuan Yunong seemed a bit unhappy and smirked sarcastically, ”Teacher Yuan, do you really dislike seeing me? Look at you, I just wanted to chat a bit, and you’re rushing me away! Are you afraid I’ll see something?”

”Xiaohu’s mom, why are you talking like this?” Yuan Yunong frowned, her expression turning very unpleasant, ”My little friend is sick with a fever, I just came to take care of him. Captain Qin has two kids to look after, he can’t cook, so I just came to make them a meal. Are you misunderstanding something?”

”Teacher Yuan, I must say you’ve got teacher skills all right. While the lady of the house is away, you come over to cook for them... If An Hao knew, I wonder if she’d thank you, or what?” The more Liao Ting spoke, the more excited she got.

She’s long been annoyed with this Yuan Yunong.

At school, she protected An Hao’s two kids, not caring for her Xiaohu a bit more. Last time, those two kids even gave her attitude.

Her mother-in-law got so angry she asked the kindergarten director to fire Yuan Yunong, but who’d have thought, this Yuan Yunong ended up at this side’s kindergarten. Unfortunately, her kid ended up in this kindergarten too, under Yuan Yunong.

She truly never wanted to see this woman again.

She’s roamed the military compound for years, who dared to argue with her?

Yet, a mere kindergarten teacher dared to stand up to her.

Qin Jian had been listening from inside all this while. He couldn’t take it anymore after a while, so he put down his new book and came out, seeing Yuan Yunong standing at the door still clutching the spatula, her face flushed red by Liao Ting’s words.

Qin Jian frowned and said to Yuan Yunong, ”You go ahead and cook! I’ll handle this.”

”Okay.” Yuan Yunong turned and went to the kitchen.

Liao Ting saw the little interaction between them, smirked, and mocked, ”They all say Captain Qin is a cold-faced devil. Now I see that’s not accurate. Captain Qin might have a cold exterior, but he’s warm inside!”

”What do you want to say?” Qin Jian looked at Liao Ting expressionlessly.

”Does it matter what I say? What’s done is done, should it not be mentioned? I really feel sorry for An Hao, going off to training not knowing anything, while the person she trusts most invades her home. Meals are even being cooked! With a single man and woman together, who knows what might happen!” Liao Ting’s words were harsh, ”An Hao’s only been gone a few days, and already there’s protection in place! I used to think Captain Qin really only had eyes for his little wife as they say! But it seems not, a pretty face can still move him twice!”
