Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2047: Chapter 2040: Teacher Yuan Is Lying

”I’m not that heartless! I’m telling you, we can’t let this go! Pay up! Once you pay, this matter will be settled.” Liao Ting said.

”Yes, yes, yes! Let’s not hurt the harmony! Anyway, you’re all members of the same community, all cultured people! Fighting like this just makes a mockery of yourselves!” Teacher Liu, finding the tension between the two less intimidating now, dared to play peacemaker.

The teacher hoped both parents would quickly resolve the matter.

But the children didn’t think the same way.

”Mom, you can’t pay! Wang Xiaohu bullied us first! He was shouting loudly at school early in the morning, saying Dad is a villain, calling him a traitor! Saying Dad was taken away and won’t be coming back!” Ning Chenguang said with grievance.

An Hao felt a wave of distress at this.

Qin Jian has been taken away for over two days now. There’s been no news.

The grandpa called over there to inquire, but was refused with the excuse of keeping everything secret.

”Is what you’re saying true?” An Hao crouched down to look at Chenguang and asked.

”Of course it’s true.” Ning Chenguang, with a pout, said aggrievedly, ”They’re insulting Dad! I hate them! I hate anyone who insults Dad!”

”I hate them too!” Ning Chenyang interjected angrily, ”He even spat in our food! And forced us to lick rice off his foot! Refuse and it’s a fight!”

”I even agreed to fight him, but when he went out, he tripped over Brother’s foot by accident. Ended up falling flat, deservedly breaking his tooth!” Ning Chenguang’s mouth rattled on like firecrackers.

”Is that true?” An Hao turned to look at Yuan Yunong.

Yuan Yunong hesitated for a moment, then nodded: ”The children aren’t wrong about this.”

”He tripped me on purpose!” Wang Xiaohu shouted, ”Teacher Yuan is lying!”

”Teacher Yuan isn’t lying! You’re the liar!” The two little fellows shouted in unison, their voices twice as loud.

An Hao originally planned to pay for settling the matter, regardless of who was right or wrong, since after all, it was because of the fight that the tooth got knocked out.

But upon hearing Qin Jian had been insulted, she immediately decided not to pay!

”I understand!” An Hao slowly stood up, looked at Yuan Yunong with gratitude, and said, ”Thank you, Teacher Yuan!”

”No need to thank me, Doctor An! I just did what I should do!”

An Hao nodded, stretched out her hands, and took a child in each hand, heading toward the door.

”What are you doing?! Hit someone and you’re not even going to pay?” Liao Ting blocked An Hao’s path.

”Not paying!” An Hao threw down the words, pushed Liao Ting aside with a hand, and walked out with the two children.

”What do you mean by this? Hit someone without paying or apologizing? This can’t be how it ends!”

”You and your son both deserve a beating! You two need to be taught a lesson! I feel today was lenient! Next time, if this happens again, you as the mother should be thoroughly beaten!” An Hao stared into Liao Ting’s eyes and said sharply, ”Listen, this is the first time I’ve heard you say bad things about Qin Jian, and don’t let me hear them again! Otherwise, it’s not just the children fighting! I’ll join in and beat you up myself!

Of course, I can also report you for defamation! Slandering an active-duty soldier!”

An Hao’s fierce words suppressed Liao Ting’s arrogance.
