Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2032: Chapter 2025: Arrest

The squad leader had just finished speaking when he saw the company commander approaching from a distance with a few people.

”Salute! Hello, Chief!”

The company commander nodded and pointed to Hong Mei, saying to the comrades behind him, ”She is the person you’re looking for!”

”Hong Mei, come with us!” said the staff from the National Security Bureau.

”You’ve got the wrong person! I’m not Hong Mei, I’m Gan Tian! I just completed an investigation last year. You can’t investigate me every year, can you!” Although Hong Mei felt a bit flustered, she gritted her teeth and refused to admit it.

”Stop pretending! Since we dared to come again, we’ve confirmed your identity! Otherwise, we wouldn’t call you Hong Mei!”

The personnel from the National Security Bureau said.

”What Hong Mei? I’m not! You can’t wrong an innocent person!” Hong Mei took off her apron and threw it fiercely to the ground, then turned to leave.

”Take her away!” With just one sentence from the other party, Hong Mei was quickly subdued.

”You can’t treat me like this! I protest!” Hong Mei shouted, completely refusing to believe they had obtained any evidence. ”You just don’t like me and couldn’t find evidence to arrest me, so you’re doing this on purpose!”

”Still being stubborn? Hong Mei! Blood Rose! No! To be precise, you are Blood Rose! An intelligence operative from a secret organization, quite famous among intelligence officers...” The National Security Bureau officer had only spoken a couple of sentences when Hong Mei’s face changed.

”Do you believe us now? If not, it doesn’t matter! Come with us, and next, you’ll meet someone. Seeing her will definitely leave you speechless! Take her away!!”

Until Hong Mei was escorted into the car, she could not believe she had truly been exposed this time!

The other side had actually uncovered Blood Rose, meaning her identity had been completely exposed.

But, who exposed her?

Cang Lang?

It shouldn’t be!

Staying would only be more beneficial for the organization, with no loss at all!

Cang Lang wouldn’t need to discard her as a pawn.

Besides, if he exposed and provided any information, wouldn’t it be even more detrimental to the organization!

Then who could it be?

All the way, Hong Mei was racking her brains but couldn’t figure it out!

She never imagined it was Gan Tian who had returned!

It was someone she had once killed!

What exactly happened, Hong Mei couldn’t understand!

Outside the military district, Hou Zicheng had already noticed Gan Tian, but he lost track.

He wanted to pass the information to Hong Mei, but unfortunately, he failed!

Within a brief span of a day or two, he was unable to transmit the information inside.

Since Hong Mei was put under isolated examination, almost her every move was under the surveillance personnel’s keen watch.

All items sent to her, all letters had to be opened for inspection!

Therefore, Hou Zicheng had no choice but to watch helplessly as Hong Mei was captured!

The interrogation of Hong Mei had started anew, while on the other side, Qin Jian was discharged from the hospital.

His injuries weren’t very serious; after staying in the hospital for two days, he went home to recuperate.

An Hao took two days off to care for Qin Jian at home.

He had been quite stressed lately, with the task having significant pressure though the test data wasn’t too complicated.

His military qualities were solid, so these things were a piece of cake for him.

The headache was the pervasive spies.

Because this task was carried out secretly, though it received great emphasis from above, they still had to implement the measures themselves.
