Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1725: Chapter 1724: Bring Him Up

”Very soon! You go take a rest first! Qin Jian, don’t worry! I can assure you, he is absolutely an outstanding soldier. During this military drill, he single-handedly eliminated several special forces soldiers! Their battalion commander was so furious he almost spat blood!” Zhang Jianguo said with immense pride.

”He’s always been exceptional!” An Hao smiled, feeling immense admiration and respect for her husband.

”Exactly! Since you already know he’s always been exceptional, you should worry even less about him! That’s precisely what I wanted to tell you. Qin Jian is not someone who can easily be taken down by others.” Zhang Jianguo laughed.

”Alright. I’ll be heading out first. If Commander Zhang gets the chance to see Qin Jian, please help pass along that I came by!” With that, perhaps they could return together after the drill ended.

”Sure! If the opportunity arises, I’ll definitely deliver the message for you!” Zhang Jianguo agreed with a smile.

.................................

Zhang Jianguo rode back to the command post. The military drill was already effectively concluded, ending with Captain Wu’s injury.

When Captain Wu was sent back to the command post, the special forces from the Red Team stealthily followed and took out their entire command base.

Although it was a military exercise, it needed to be treated as if it were a real battlefield.

However, this time Qin Jian didn’t act that way. Right before him was a living, breathing life. If they abandoned Captain Wu, it would mean his end.

The situation this time was vastly different from previous exercises.

The drill area wasn’t limited to just the troops of the Red Team and Blue Team. Others were present as well, and it was certain they were armed. The exact number of individuals couldn’t be determined.

Thus, at the conclusion of the exercise, the highest commanders of both sides simultaneously ordered the military exercise area to be sealed off.

A new operation named ’Hunt’ began. They aimed to capture the individuals hiding deep within the forest, firing covert shots. They needed to figure out who they were.

And what was their purpose?

These individuals were shockingly bold, daring to open fire and injure someone within the exercise area!

Did they think the troops here were worthless? Two army corps, two regiments, and even a special forces unit were participating, yet they still managed to injure one of their captains.

This was an outright provocation!

It was a disgrace like no other!

If Zhang Jianguo couldn’t deal with these brazen criminals lurking in the forest, he wouldn’t deserve the military cap on his head!

Getting out of the jeep, Zhang Jianguo strode straight into the tent serving as the command post and saw several battalion commanders sitting on stools discussing the situation. He immediately spoke up, ”How’s the search going? Any progress?”

”No! We’ve already carried out a carpet search! However, there’s been no unusual findings in the areas we divided among the battalions!”

”What about Qin Jian?” Zhang Jianguo scanned the room and didn’t see Qin Jian, so he casually asked.

Just as he spoke, Qin Jian returned, taking off his cap and fanning himself twice before tucking it under his epaulette. ”Reporting to the Commander, we’ve returned as well!”

”So? Any results?” Zhang Jianguo turned around to ask.

”Bring him up!” Qin Jian ordered loudly, as two young warriors walked in, escorting a man in camouflage.

”This is...?” Zhang Jianguo froze for a moment. When he noticed the difference in the man’s attire, understanding dawned. ”Speak! Who are you? Why did you infiltrate the exercise area? What’s your purpose?”
