Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1712: Chapter 1711: Understand the Rules or Not

”No way! Do you think these PLA soldiers are vegetarians? One careless move and you’re totally screwed! No life, no enjoyment!” The fourth brother was very cautious.

Indeed, he was also an experienced hand.

But this was his first time encountering a military exercise.

Their disguise seemed fine, but they could only take a quick glance from afar. It looked okay from that distance. If they were to go any closer, though, they’d probably be doomed.

Because their guns were completely different from the PLA’s, once they were encountered, they would be recognized immediately.

”The main thing is I’m just too damned tired!” The tall man complained.

”Tired? Who isn’t tired? Shut your mouth!” The fourth brother got fierce and jabbed the tall man in the chest with the butt of his gun.

”Ah!” The tall man cried out in pain.

The person walking next to him quickly raised his hand to cover his mouth: ”Keep it down, do you want us all to suffer because of you!”

The tall man, annoyed, pushed away the hand covering his mouth and cursed, ”Are you even human? I was hit by the fourth brother! I’m crying out because it hurts, do you think I would cry if it didn’t hurt?”

”This is Brother Four! Don’t you know the rules!” The man he cursed snapped back in a low voice.

”I don’t want to call him Brother Four right now! Just the fourth, what are you gonna do? Wanna fight? Then let’s do it together! Let’s see who we end up alerting!” The tall man belligerently shouted.

”Brother Four, look at him! Just one word from you, and the brothers will take action immediately!”

Fourth brother, ever experienced and having seen much, knew very well that they couldn’t afford to cause a scene right now. Otherwise, once exposed, they’d all be doomed.

But he couldn’t let the tall man continue being arrogant, so he crouched down, reached out his iron-claw-like hand and fiercely grabbed the tall man’s collar, threatening, ”This is your first and last warning. Cause any more trouble, and I’ll kill you myself!”

”Fine. Let’s see then! If you dare touch a hair on me, let’s see if Brother Kun will let you off!” The tall man said defiantly, not backing down.

The fourth brother smiled and let go of his hand: ”Alright then, we’ll see if you even live long enough to get there!”

The weather at the end of September has already turned cold, especially in these deep mountains and old forests. The cold becomes piercingly cold when the wind blows and rain falls.

Moreover, the visibility in these mountains worsens when it rains.

This is very disadvantageous for the exercise.

The exercise had been going on for several days, but this time the red and blue sides were evenly matched. It was impossible to end the fight quickly by finding the command center and decapitating the opposing leader.

Thus, both sides began a war of attrition.

Due to the involvement of the special forces, Zhao Dong’s reconnaissance company was suffering heavy losses, fundamentally unable to locate the enemy’s command post. If the stalemate continued like this, they would likely be the ones defeated.

”Commander, think of something! These guys are too damn good, at this rate, my reconnaissance company won’t understand any use at all!”

”You’re not overcoming them is normal. These guys are the elite of the elite! In the past, you were considered the sharp edge of the army, now it might be good to blunt your sharpness a bit!” Division commander Zhang Jianguo with his hands behind his back, came strolling over.
