Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1683: Chapter 1683: Splashed water on his face

”Dad... Dad... Daddy!” Ning Chenyang seemed to have come to terms with reality, and finally spoke helplessly.

Qin Jian’s eyes lit up with joy. His Chenyang was fine, and his worries had been unnecessary. It was truly impressive for a seven-month-old child to be able to clearly say the word ”daddy”.

He joyfully lifted the child high: ”Worthy of being Qin Jian’s son... I am proud of you!”

No sooner had Qin Jian finished speaking than he felt a warm liquid pour over his face with a splash!

”You little rascal! You actually peed!” Qin Jian gritted his teeth and spoke to the little troublemaker.

Little Chenyang giggled, seemingly quite pleased with his recent antics.

Turning to look at Ning Chenguang, despite the lively scene unfolding here, he didn’t even glance over, focusing solely on the apple in his hands.

”Qin Jian, I suddenly feel that neither of your sons are easy to handle!” An Hao remarked.

”It’s alright. If these two dare to misbehave, watch how I’ll deal with them!”

An Hao came back with disinfectant and started to disinfect the wound on Qin Jian’s face, while saying, ”This wound is right on your face. If you go to the army tomorrow, won’t you be the laughingstock? Someone will definitely think it was from my scratch.”

”No way. Who would say that? At worst, they’ll discuss it behind my back. As long as it’s not in front of my face, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it,” Qin Jian said with a smile.

”And what if you did hear it? It’s not like you’re going to hit someone, right?”

”That’s definitely not necessary.”

”Alright.” After finishing disinfecting Qin Jian, An Hao sat down beside him and rested her head on his broad, honey-colored shoulders: ”Let’s discuss something.”

”Go ahead.”

”I haven’t been at home for a short while now. From childbirth until now, it’s almost been two years! I’m graduating this summer, and I’ll soon start working at the hospital. Before, Ji Chuan told me that military doctors are assigned in one aspect, but the affiliated hospital does reach out to the school for personnel. However, to enter a department as an intern, you have to take a test and evaluation. So, I was thinking...” An Hao spoke.

”You want to go back to work?”

”Yes.”

”That’s not impossible. But at least you have to wait until the children are weaned, right? These two little guys refuse to take formula, and if you go to work and stand in the operating room, you cannot simply step off. What if the children get hungry?” Qin Jian had his own worries.

”Then... should I wait a bit longer? But I feel like I have been resting for too long. I’m worried my hands will become clumsy, and I might forget the knowledge I’ve learned.” Her dream was to become an excellent surgeon, and she didn’t want to have wasted years of education just because of childbirth and completely delay her career.

”So, during this time, I’ve heard from mom that you’ve started studying again?”

”Yes,” An Hao nodded.

”Alright. I respect your decision! It’s for you to consider.” Qin Jian raised his hand to rest on An Hao’s shoulder, ”Everyone has their own dreams to fulfill. If you feel that the path you’ve chosen is the one you want to take, then go for it!”

”Yeah. I will be able to get my diploma by the middle of this month. I hope you can attend my graduation ceremony,” An Hao said.

”That might be difficult. In a few months, we’ll be having a very large military exercise. This military exercise is a multi-branch joint operation! Furthermore, there will be a very powerful and mysterious unit joining! The regiment commander hopes we will prepare diligently for the battle in order to claim victory in the exercise! So, I might be very busy during this time,” Qin Jian explained.
