Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1681: Chapter 1681 Different Opinions

“Are you sculpting a piece of artwork?” Qin Jian had been standing at the doorway for a while, and seeing that An Hao was so engrossed and completely unaware of his presence, he finally couldn’t hold back anymore, walked over, and sat down beside An Hao.

“You gave me a scare, you know?” An Hao nearly cut her hand.

“I’ve been standing at the doorway for a long time, and you were just busy peeling the apple, not even noticing how drooly the two little ones have become?”

When An Hao looked up, she saw a long trail of drool on the two little ones’ red bellybands, as they both stared with their adorable big eyes at the apple in her hand.

“Pfft!” An Hao couldn’t help but laugh, alright, she had been so focused on peeling the apple that she hadn’t noticed the little ones, “I saw them playing with toys nicely, who knew that in the blink of an eye, these two little ones started drooling over the apple.”

“Look at your mom! Feeling guilty for making her babies drool like this and still laughing.” Qin Jian turned over, took a small handkerchief from the table, and helped wipe the mouths of the two little ones.

“Along with their hands, I’ll be done soon.” After saying this, An Hao lowered her head and continued to ‘carve’ the apple.

Though she says carving, in reality, she was just cutting the apple into long strips for the kids to easily grasp, and then using a small knife to carve out serrated patterns at the bottom of the fruit strips.

This way, it wouldn’t easily fall out of their hands.

Qin Jian got the handkerchief wet in the restroom and came back to clean the little palms of the two treasures.

The two little ones were just waiting, raising their hands towards An Hao asking for the apple.

“Here! One piece of apple for each.” An Hao, smiling, handed over the apples to the children.

The little ones opened their mouths and started nibbling on the apple slices with their newly sprouted few little teeth.

Seeing their adorable eating manners, Qin Jian felt a softness in his heart, and thought of teasing the two little ones, so he leaned in and said with his mouth open, “Come, let daddy have a bite.”

Hearing this, the two children silently moved their little hands behind their backs, and both stared with big eyes, guarding against Qin Jian coming forward to snatch their food.

“Hahaha! My babies are so clever!” An Hao laughed heartily, genuinely delighted by the children’s quick actions.

She leaned in and kissed both children’s little cheeks.

“These two naughty boys.” Qin Jian also started smiling, as their quick response had genuinely surprised him.

“I feel our sons will definitely be very responsive and quick-witted! Actually, we could let them study medicine…” An Hao couldn’t help but start imagining her two tall and handsome sons wearing white coats.

“Who says they should be doctors? They could be soldiers!” Qin Jian had already decided when he learned they were sons, that he would send them to be soldiers once they grew up.

“No! I definitely don’t want that!” An Hao disagreed with Qin Jian, “I don’t want them to be soldiers, it’s too tough, and they wouldn’t be able to come home most of the year. And if there’s an emergency mission, they would have to leave immediately, even if it means going through fire and water. I disagree! I only have these two sons!”

“A man is not a man if he doesn’t become a soldier! If everyone is afraid of hardship and refuses to be a soldier in the future, who will defend our homeland, and who will protect our home? Don’t you think so?” Qin Jian said to An Hao with a grin.

“When the kids grow up, it should be their choice. Neither you nor I have the final say.”
