Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1650: Chapter 1650: It Seems I’ve Come at the Wrong Time?

Upon hearing the noise inside the house, Lin Qiushu pushed the door open and entered.

Yan Ye was holding a book, quietly staring at Lin Qiushu. His adam’s apple moved up and down a few times before he spoke, ”Are you... okay? Your grandmother...”

Before he could finish speaking, Lin Qiushu’s eyes twinkled, and the next moment she suddenly rushed forward and hugged Yan Ye’s waist tightly.

”Qiushu...” Yan Ye stood frozen in place, for the first time in his life being embraced like this by a girl.

”Don’t move. Just like this, let me hold you,” Lin Qiushu said. Strangely enough, after being kidnapped by Wang Jiu for so many days, she had not shed a single tear, but facing Yan Ye, a surge of emotions suddenly overwhelmed her, and she didn’t understand why she made such a move.

Hearing this, Yan Ye’s initial surprise gradually faded, and his stiff body slowly relaxed.

He wrapped his arms around Lin Qiushu’s waist, gently patting her back, ”Everything has passed! It’s all over now!”

Tears moistened the corners of Lin Qiushu’s eyes. She closed her eyes, listening to his heartbeat, ”I was kidnapped by a criminal for four or five days, don’t you want to ask if I was mistreated by that criminal during these days?”

”No. I won’t ask,” Yan Ye said, his voice deep and coming from his chest, carrying a firm strength.

Lin Qiushu was taken aback.

She had lived abroad since she was young and only returned to her home country two years ago.

However, she knew that in her country, people put a heavy emphasis on a woman’s chastity. Especially when a woman has been abducted by a criminal for so many days, an event leading to much speculation, could he show no concern at all?

”You must have gone through a lot of pain these days. It’s a painful memory for you, and I don’t want you to have to recall it over and over. If there’s a day you feel you can, I’m ready to listen at any time,” Yan Ye said, looking down at her sincerely.

”Then you don’t care if I was...” Lin Qiushu couldn’t finish her sentence.

But Yan Ye understood.

”If it was true that you were violated, it’s not your fault! You are also a victim, why should we blame the victim? If we are to hate, it should be the perpetrator,” Yan Ye finished speaking, looking into Lin Qiushu’s watery eyes, afraid she might not clearly understand his intentions, he then added, ”Qiushu, what I care about more is your life, health, and future happiness. What happened in the past... it doesn’t matter...”

Warmth surged in Lin Qiushu’s heart. She wrapped her arms tightly around Yan Ye’s waist and, on tiptoes, pressed her lips to his, which were within reach.

Yan Ye’s heart quivered, and his breathing trembled.

He lowered his head and captured her moist, soft lips, took hold of her delicate chin and kissed back without hesitation.

At this moment, time seemed to stop.

Everything around them fell silent, and in their world, there was no other sound but their breathing and heartbeat.

Both were immersed in this blissful moment, unwilling to let go of each other first.

”Hey! I say, Yan Ye...” Ji Chuan hurried over from downstairs, without knocking, he pushed the door open with a bang.

The scene in front of him left him dumbstruck.

Lin Qiushu was startled, hurriedly pushing away Yan Ye, and as she turned around, her panicked gaze fell right onto Ji Chuan’s face.

”Did I... come at a bad time?” Ji Chuan rubbed his eyes as if he still couldn’t believe what had just happened.
