Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1605: Chapter 1605: Hold One’s Head High

”Fine! I will listen to Boss Hou!” Lin Qiushu smiled charmingly, ”Then let’s do it your way. I give you your capital and forty percent interest, and in return, these two storefronts registered under your name will belong to me, deal?”

”Deal.” Boss Hou’s eyes lit up, ”Come on, it’s settled then. Let’s start signing the agreement right now.”

...

A week later, almost all the issues had been handled.

All the penalties that needed to be paid were paid, anything that needed to be mortgaged was mortgaged, and the other three Nanguofeng restaurants under Guan Qing’s management were all transferred out.

She could no longer afford these storefronts; she had to close for business and reorganize for over three months, and just paying the rent alone was a significant expense.

Had she wanted to transfer them now, certainly no one would’ve wanted to take over. She therefore transferred them at a very low price and fortunately, someone was willing to take over, allowing her to transfer all three stores in one go.

”Alright, now the restaurants are all yours! I hope your management will bring prosperity,” Guan Qing smiled helplessly, turned her head to look at the place she once sweated over, and deeply sighed.

”Don’t worry. I will manage these restaurants better and more successfully than you did.” Lin Qiushu smiled at Guan Qing and gently clapped her hands, ”Secretary Zhang, it’s not easy for Boss Guan to have run the restaurants. You have collaborated with Boss Guan before, so it is most fitting for you to deliver this gift.”

Secretary Zhang emerged from somewhere and approached Lin Qiushu, greeting her, ”Boss! I bought the Yangxian Xueya as you instructed.”

”Give it to your former boss,” Lin Qiushu smiled.

Secretary Zhang stepped forward and presented the tea to Guan Qing, ”This is a gift from our boss. Our boss has also prepared a table of delicious food at the State Guesthouse Hotel today and would like to invite you to lunch.”

Guan Qing looked at Secretary Zhang in disbelief, ”You are quite efficient! You’ve quickly found yourself a new position!”

”No choice,” Secretary Zhang replied with a forced smile, ”I have to make a living! Right, Boss Guan?”

”Good luck then,” Guan Qing hesitated but finally accepted the tea.

”You should drink more tea in the future. You can also learn about tea arts and the knowledge to nourish your character,” Lin Qiushu hinted.

Guan Qing paused, about to continue walking, when she heard An Hao’s voice from behind.

”Qiushu, your business empire has expanded again!”

”Yes. I’ve always wanted to venture into the catering industry! Taking over Nanguofeng this time really is a great opportunity to flex my muscles. From now on, your vegetable company will be my official designated supplier!”

”Don’t worry.”

”Right. There’s a lot of vegetables this time. They aren’t fresh anymore. I surely can’t just throw them away, right?”

”Of course not. Leave them to our company. Although we can’t recover the cost completely, I can still recoup fifty percent of it for you.”

”Good. I trust you.”

Guan Qing slowly turned around, saw Lin Qiushu and An Hao standing together, chatting and laughing, and asked in shock, ”What is the relationship between you two?”

An Hao narrowed his eyes at Guan Qing and said word by word, ”She is the godmother of my child! Tell me, what do you think our relationship is?”

”You... you two... you both plotted against me!” Guan Qing’s eyes reddened, nearly bursting into flames.

An Hao stepped forward towards her, looked at her face with contempt and smiled, ”What? Do you feel plotted against now? Can’t handle it? Weren’t you very pleased when you did these things at the beginning?”
