Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 335: Chapter 333: Tripping Up

Spinning in circles, taking turns to sit.

Seeing that this wouldn’t do, the instructor introduced an incentive measure: ”Whoever wins three times in a row gets a two-hour break.”

This measure indeed worked wonders.

The previously listless girls suddenly became as energetic as if they were injected with adrenaline, and as soon as the boys’ singing ceased, they all rushed toward the stools.

After several rounds, An Hao had sat twice, Gu Shuangshuang twice, Xu Yinuo twice, the other two once each, and even Guan Kexin, who usually lagged behind, had managed to sit twice in this game.

It was the last chance, and if Guan Kexin could seize it, she would earn a two-hour rest.

These two hours were incredibly precious!

As the boys stopped singing, Guan Kexin took the opportunity and ran towards a stool.

But, unfortunately, An Hao got there before her.

------------

In front of An Hao was Xu Yinuo, and upon seeing this, Gu Shuangshuang shouted, ”Yinuo, you’ve only got one win, don’t snatch it! Even if you do, you can’t rest!”

”Exactly, let me have it!” said Guan Kexin, rushing forward.

”Who says! I’ve won twice, okay!” Everyone was desperate for this rare opportunity.

Lei Linxuan and Zhang Juan, both with only one win, decided not to compete upon seeing the fierce scramble; even if they won, they wouldn’t be able to rest, so they might as well give up.

Thus, only these four continued to fiercely vie for the stool, with Xu Yinuo in the front, Gu Shuangshuang charging from another side, An Hao right behind Xu Yinuo.

And Guan Kexin followed closely behind An Hao.

Just as Xu Yinuo was about to sit down on the stool, Guan Kexin, impatient, took advantage of the chaos, while everyone’s attention was on the upper bodies, and sneakily stuck out a foot under An Hao’s feet.

Unprepared, An Hao stumbled and fell towards Xu Yinuo, who was about to reach the stool.

”Ah――” Amidst Xu Yinuo’s cry of alarm, she crashed onto the stool, with An Hao falling heavily on top of her.

The scene, once noisy, suddenly quieted down as the instructor, seeing Xu Yinuo lying on the ground groaning in pain, rushed over in a flash.

She first pulled An Hao, who had landed on Xu Yinuo, to her feet, not bothering to check on An Hao and swiftly helped Xu Yinuo up from the ground.

”How are you? Are you hurt anywhere?” the instructor asked anxiously.

”My wrist hurts a bit, and so does my stomach. The rest is okay.” Xu Yinuo said, looking down to see her wrist beginning to swell.

”It might be a contusion,” the instructor said after checking and turned to Guan Kexin, ”You go with her to the infirmary.”

”Yes.”

After Guan Kexin and Xu Yinuo left, the instructor turned to An Hao: ”What happened just now? Why would you push Xu Yinuo over for no reason?”

An Hao was taken aback: ”I didn’t push her!”

”You didn’t push her, so did she fall on her own?” The instructor had only seen An Hao pushing Xu Yinuo and just wanted to understand what was going on, but didn’t expect An Hao to confidently answer she hadn’t pushed, ”I saw you push her.”

That’s when An Hao felt truly wronged: ”I didn’t push her. Instructor, we are classmates and roommates; would I push her just for two hours of rest? Just now, someone tripped me.”

”Someone tripped you? I didn’t see that. Did anyone see that?” The instructor looked down at An Hao from a position of authority, unable to fathom how such a seemingly pleasant girl could do something so baffling.
