Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 323: Chapter 321 Silly Girl

”Your sweet nothings make my face flush and my heart race...” An Hao knelt with one knee on his thigh, locking gazes with him in midair, adhered...

A sensation of a heartbeat like never before assaulted Qin Jian, and almost uncontrollably, he wrapped his arms around An Hao’s body and lowered his head to passionately kiss her delicate, rosy lips.

His actions were a bit hasty, and also somewhat rough.

These days, he’d noticed his self-control was getting worse and worse, almost losing it at the prospect of his future wife.

He was holding himself back, restraining himself further, so as not to hurt her.

”Mmm...” An Hao, overwhelmed by his ardor, couldn’t help but let out a soft moan as her arms involuntarily encircled his neck.

The taste of her lips was too wonderful, tender, fragrant and sweet, just like cotton candy.

All surrounding noises drifted away from him, only his sensations seemed to amplify manifold, his entire world was nothing but An Hao!

An Hao’s breathing suddenly became rapid, a soft moan involuntarily escaping her lips.

Qin Jian’s eyes snapped open suddenly, his runaway reason instantly returning, and he quickly let go of An Hao, adjusting his breathing while suppressing the palpitations in his heart.

What was he doing?

If he hadn’t stopped in time, if An Hao hadn’t resisted in time, wouldn’t he have taken her body?

He always detested that kind of man, thinking that men who couldn’t control their lower half were just making excuses to take advantage of women.

It was not until he met An Hao that he realized not all emotions could be controlled by reason.

The reason impulsive actions are called impulsive is that the emotions arrive too quickly, the brain doesn’t have time to think, and actions are taken based wholly on instinct—that’s what impulse is.

”An Hao, I’m sorry... I lost control there, did I scare you?” Qin Jian apologized to her.

An Hao smiled and shook her head, ”It’s okay. You didn’t scare me, actually, my mind went blank just then...”

Qin Jian nodded and asked An Hao, ”If I hadn’t controlled myself just now, and went all the way... would you have stopped me...?”

”No!” An Hao shook her head shyly, ”Qin Jian, I trust you!”

Qin Jian looked at An Hao, emotion welling up in his heart, and he held An Hao tightly in his arms, ”My silly girl, I won’t do that before we’re married. I can’t let you face even the slightest accident. Nor can I allow your life’s dreams to take flight only to falter halfway...”

Listening to him, An Hao felt warmth in her heart.

This was Qin Jian, the Qin Jian who, in her previous life, would not touch her if she was unwilling.

In this life, for the sake of her dreams, to prevent any mishaps, he restrained himself from touching her.

The more An Hao interacted with him, the better she understood.

In her previous life, his coldness was not really coldness, but restraint! He was always striving to restrain himself!

Such a good man—how could An Hao possibly pass him by again? How could she let him down again?

She couldn’t!

She absolutely couldn’t!

The two calmed down in the gradually cooling river water, Qin Jian stood up and pulled An Hao to her feet, ”Let’s go, I’ll take you home. You’ll catch a cold and get sick if you let the wind chill you while you’re wet.”

An Hao nodded her head, letting him hold her hand as they walked back.

Despite An Hao’s reluctance, the day of separation still arrived.

On this day, the sky drizzled with oblique fine rain, and Qin Jian was at the village stage, ready to leave, as the village secretary and several village cadres came to see him off.

Qin Jian stepped forward to address the village leaders, ”We’ve caused some trouble during our training in the village these days, please forgive us for anything we’ve done poorly.”
