Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 310: Chapter 308: Make a Unique Feature

Several matters were discussed in succession, and they all seemed to be good news.

An Shuchao was so happy that he insisted on having Qin Jian stay for dinner, and Qin Jian had no choice but to agree.

The dinner An Hao prepared was very lavish.

She bought plenty of food and, with her deft touch, transformed it into an exquisite meal by the time it was served.

An Ping was stuffed to the brim, and Qin Jian also ate quite a bit. It looked like he’d have to run laps on the track after getting back tonight.

Just a few days after An Hao learned of her scores, the school notified the students to come back to view their grades.

When it came to An Hao’s scores, the entire school’s faculty and students were proud of her.

As previously discussed, An Hao filled out her college preferences, and there was little suspense—she was bound to be admitted to Medical University.

Shen Zhihua also had good scores, but they fell short compared to An Hao. He wanted to attend the same university as An Hao, but, unfortunately, his scores weren’t high enough.

Although the admission scores for Nancheng City’s top Medical University were lower than those of the universities in the Imperial Capital, it was still considered a prestigious university. Shen Zhihua’s scores didn’t meet the university’s threshold, so, with no other choice, he applied to a Normal University in the south, setting him and An Hao on two distinctly different life paths from then on.

By mid-August, it was already the peak of summer.

The order for jeans had reached its third batch, and the store owner, having used up the fabric, had gone personally to Guangdong to secure another batch of denim.

But upon its arrival, he discovered a drastic downturn in sales.

If this fabric were to sit unsold, it would indeed bankrupt him.

As the store owner worried, he saw An Hao come in. His previously dejected mood instantly brightened, ”Ah, my savior has arrived! Come over here and take a look. Our income lately can be described with the words ’too horrible to look at.’”

An Hao took a look at the store owner’s ledger and indeed saw a significant dip in recent income.

But this was within reasonable expectations.

”It’s quite normal!” An Hao said calmly, ”You’ve been so focused on making money that you’ve ignored the current reality. After all, wearing jeans in this hot summer weather is quite a painful matter. So, not everyone is going to buy jeans.”

”Are you suggesting that business will pick up again once the weather cools down?” the store owner asked.

”I think that’s likely,” An Hao nodded.

”But what about this period? Are we just supposed to wait it out? I’ve invested all my money here; if I lose it, I’d really have to go looking for a rope to hang myself,” said the store owner anxiously.

Seeing how worried he was, An Hao found it amusing, ”Are you getting all flustered? You need to understand, the trend is denim wear—that’s true. But the emphasis is on ’denim.’ Just because people find it too hot to wear jeans in the summer doesn’t mean it’s absolute. We can capitalize on the season’s characteristics; make denim shorts, denim skirts, and even develop a few different denim styles. We don’t have to stick to one path until it’s dark.”

”Exactly! They say educated people have good brains for a reason,” the store owner exclaimed, slapping the table in approval.

While the two were discussing, a couple of customers came into the store to look at clothes.

The store owner stepped forward to greet them, and An Hao casually took his seat, continuing to look at the ledger.

”Boss, I heard you guys sell jeans here at a very low price! I’m here to check it out,” said the female customer, who didn’t seem much older than An Hao, very pretty and with an exceptional aura about her.

She had a unique charisma, not like the daintiness of an average girl. There seemed to be an extra dose of boldness in her.

At this moment, the worry on the store owner’s face was gone, and he smiled like a blooming flower, ”Welcome, welcome! The jeans here are not only cheap but also of guaranteed quality. They’re definitely the cheapest in the city. Take a look? Would you like to take a couple of pairs home?”
