Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 304: Chapter 303 Cunning Fellow

The power of trends is indeed formidable.

A hundred pairs of pants, aside from the thirty or so that were reserved, the rest sold out within half a day, and the boss’s bag was stuffed with bills.

As time was getting late, An Hao needed to go back.

The store owner quickly counted the money, and after subtracting costs, there was a net profit of fourteen hundred yuan. He gave An Hao five hundred yuan, and the remaining nine hundred yuan was all his.

This substantial amount made An Hao very happy.

”It seems we’ve done quite well. This way, you give me all the remaining fabric, and I’ll have them rush the orders. We need to quickly seize the market initiative,” An Hao said confidently.

”Sure,” the store owner was also very straightforward. He cleared out all the remaining fabric from storage, then borrowed a friend’s van to help An Hao transport the fabric.

An Hao hesitated a bit when she saw he was also coming. If he found out about the existence of the factory, he would definitely cut her out as the middleman.

They are all businessmen, after all, and when it comes to making deals, they would surely be more polished than An Hao the novice.

The clothing store owner saw through An Hao’s thoughts. He patted the car door and said to An Hao with a smile, ”An Hao, you really don’t need to hide it from me. Last time, I followed right after you left for the city by car because I wanted to see where this factory you’re linked with is located, and whether this whole thing is reliable. There’s a contract, of course, but to be blunt, we don’t put much faith in that sort of thing, so I kept a close watch there for a few days.”

An Hao glared at him, ”You... you’re quite the cunning one! We had agreed on the plan in advance, and you agreed. Now that you see there’s money to be made, you want to cut me loose? I’m telling you, you’ll regret if you cut me loose.”

After running around the city and the town for the past few days, she had gained a fair understanding of the market situation, and she had a better plan for future business dealings.

She believed that if all her ideas could be realized, she’d probably make a fortune.

Seeing that An Hao seemed angry, the store owner couldn’t help but burst into loud laughter, ”Come on, don’t be mad! If I really wanted to cut you loose, I would have secretly dealt with the clothing factory behind your back and wouldn’t have told you. An Hao, I think you have a talent for business, a natural sensitivity to it. I feel that this money was well spent. I have a feeling you’ll bring me a surprise beyond my expectations.”

Feeling relieved, An Hao’s face softened significantly, and she gave the boss a big thumbs-up, offering him generous praise, ”Not bad at all! You obviously have a good eye! Truly a discerning judge of talent!”

The store owner laughed heartily again, ”Is that praise for you or for me?”

”Praise for me, with a little thrown in for you!” An Hao grinned.

”Alright, alright! That’s some pretty good praise,” the store owner said with a smile, and suddenly, the atmosphere felt as refreshing as a spring breeze, and he felt his heart flutter.

So, he slowly moved closer to An Hao and said with a grin, ”An Hao, seeing as I’m clever and you’re clever too, shouldn’t two smart people like us join forces?”

”What are you trying to say?” An Hao looked at him with a corner of her mouth hooked in amusement, as his little scheme was all over his face.

”I mean, I’m unmarried, you’re unwedded, you’re pretty, and I’m fairly handsome, so why don’t we discuss it?” From the first glance he had liked An Hao, which was one of the reasons he was so enthusiastic about doing business with her.
