Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 326: Chapter 324: Tighten Up

”A leader? How big of a leader?” Zhang Juan asked.

”I don’t know! They say someone from the provincial government... Seems to be in charge of education or something...” Gu Shuangshuang said enviously, ”My dad is just a small leader at the tax bureau.”

”Give it a rest,” Xu Yinuo couldn’t help but speak up to Gu Shuangshuang, ”At least your dad is a leader. My dad is just an ordinary employee.”

Lei Linxuan felt embarrassed when others were boasting about their fathers, ”My dad is a worker!”

Zhang Juan, ”My dad is also a worker.”

Then there was An Hao, the daughter of a farmer; there was no need to say what her father did, as he naturally worked in agriculture.

An Hao didn’t participate in this kind of hierarchical comparison; she just listened quietly.

After chatting for a while and as the time for dinner approached, the dormitory door opened with a bang. A tall girl, fashionably dressed, stood at the door. She scanned the room with her droopy eyes and gestured behind her, ”You, come in...”

------------

Following her inside was a young secretary, carrying a large bag on his shoulder and holding a smaller one in his hand.

As soon as the secretary entered, he took a quick glance at the several female students in the room and said apologetically, ”I’m sorry for the disturbance.”

Gu Shuangshuang couldn’t help but take a few more glances at the handsome secretary.

He placed the girl’s bags on the bed and asked her, ”Do you need any more help? If not, I’ll leave now.”

”Don’t! Make the bed for me!” the girl pointed at the bed.

The little secretary gave her a look, and without a word, he began to make the bed.

”Wait!” The girl stopped the little secretary, looked up at the top bunk, then at the positions of several other bunks nearby, and pointed at An Hao with great haughtiness, ”I like sleeping on the top bunk, you come down and switch with me!”

”Guan Kexin, you’re being too unreasonable!” the little secretary finally couldn’t bear it and exploded, ”Shouldn’t you tone down your princess attitude at school?”

”Little Lizi! How are you talking to me?” Guan Kexin crossed her arms and looked at the little secretary with her slender eyebrows furrowed.

”My name is Li Ji, not Little Lizi! I am your grandfather’s secretary, not your servant!” Li Ji said, and turned to leave.

”You dare to leave!” Guan Kexin grabbed Li Ji’s arm fiercely, ”Quick, make the bed!”

Li Ji was so annoyed by her that he decided not to bother with her.

Guan Kexin, sensing that the situation was not in her favor, softened her voice, ”Brother Li, please make the bed for me! My hands hurt...”

Li Ji had no choice but to stay and make the bed.

Guan Kexin refused to sleep in the lower bunk and was adamant about switching for An Hao’s top bunk, ”I’m talking to you, you come down and let’s switch!”

An Hao certainly didn’t want to switch and sat on her bed unmoved, ”No switching! I like the top bunk too!”

”What makes you think you don’t have to switch with me?” Guan Kexin was very displeased with An Hao’s swift refusal, ”If you make me angry, I’ll make sure you have a hard time at school! My grandfather is a leader in the province!”

”Just because you’re the granddaughter of a leader, you think you can bully people?” An Hao retorted, ”How about this, maybe one day I’ll discuss this issue with the provincial leader! See if he finds his granddaughter’s behavior appropriate!”

With just a few words, An Hao left Guan Kexin speechless.

In the dormitory, Zhang Juan and Lei Linxuan were workers’ kids. Without connections in the military medical school, they preferred not to stir up trouble.
