Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 797: Recover

”Hmm?” Yan Yinqing mischievously smiled. ”Xi Hongyan? The cold and indifferent woman from the Red Sun Realm, right? Hasnʼt she rejected you dozens of times, Senior Brother?”

”Ugh!” Lin Moxian held his chest. ”You hurt my feelings.”

”Hehe.” Yan Yinqing giggled. ”So, what brings you here?”

”I brought our junior brother here for treatment, but Xiao Laoshu told me that you and Aunt Lingyan were here, so—” Yan Yinqing immediately pulled Lin Moxianʼs arm and led him away. ”Hey, wait—”

”You can meet my mother later.” Yan Yinqing accelerated her movements. ”Iʼve heard about our junior brother from my grandpa and uncle, and I canʼt wait to meet him, so weʼll go see him right now.”

.

.

A while later, they arrived at the healing chamber, where they found Zhang Xiaolong [3] unconscious in a healing capsule filled with a special liquid, with an oxygen mask and some medical equipment attached to his face and chest.1

Yan Yinqing immediately stood in front of the healing capsule, observing Zhang Xiaolong [3] with a curious look.

”How was your examination of my junior brother?” Lin Moxian approached Xiao Laoshu, who was checking Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs condition on a small monitor screen.

Xiao Laoshu pointed at the monitor and explained. ”Young Master Lin, your junior brotherʼs external injuries are indeed severe, and the burns on his body have reached ninety percent. His internal injuries are serious, but none of them are life-threatening. However, I find it strange because these devices detect the movement of some light elements inside his body, and he seems to have a passive healing ability, all of which makes all his injuries recover faster.”

Lin Moxian was not surprised by that, and he was sure that some of Zhang Feiʼs women were nurturing his real body elsewhere using their light elements. ”My junior brother is a little special, and I donʼt want people to know too much about him, so I hope you keep his medical records carefully.”

”I understand, Young Master Lin.”

Lin Moxian then approached his junior sister. ”Why are you looking at our junior brother like this? Are you interested in him?”

”He is more handsome than you, Senior Brother.” Lin Moxianʼs lips twitched hearing Yan Yinqing say that. ”My grandfather told me that his cultivation only reached the 6-Star Earth Realm a little over two months ago, but he has now reached the 1-Star Heaven Realm, and his soul level has also reached the perfection stage of the earthly soul level.”

”Zhang Fei is a dual cultivator, and his number of women is numerous, including your cousin, Hong Xinxin.” Yan Yinqing herself had already heard that from Yan Leibao, so she was no longer surprised to hear it from Lin Moxian. ʼI donʼt know how he managed to do it, but he had already broken through to the 7-Star Earth Realm when we set off for this realm a month ago, and he forced himself to break through to the Heaven Realm in two days.ʼ

Yan Yinqing tilted her face to Lin Moxian. ʼDid he really break through three minor stages and one major stage in two days?ʼ

ʼDo I need to lie to you?ʼ Lin Moxian immediately shared his memories of watching Zhang Fei break through with her junior sister. ʼWatch them for yourself.ʼ

Yan Yinqing watched everything before looking at Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ʼSo, this one is his clone?ʼ

ʼYes.ʼ Lin Moxian nodded at her. ʼZhang Fei has five clones, and all of his clones are real, all of which are directly connected to his main body. According to him, all his clones have their partners except for the fifth clone, and his cultivation speed is extremely fast because of them.ʼ

Yan Yinqing nodded in understanding. ”I heard that he managed to defeat my grandfather in a speed race, so I canʼt wait for him to recover, and I will challenge him to a speed race with me.”

”You are a speed maniac!” Yan Yinqing stuck out her tongue at Lin Moxian. ”Trust me, you will never be able to win a speed race against him, and he will defeat you before you have time to blink. By the way, why did Aunt Lingyan check her health with Senior Yishen? Did something happen to her?”

Yan Yinqing released a heavy sigh. ”My mother practiced incorrectly some time ago, and she suffered a backlash because of it, which caused her Qi to flow in reverse. My grandfather tried to help her recover, but he didnʼt succeed, so we came here to see Senior Yishen. Do you know where our master went, Senior Brother? Why hasnʼt he contacted me in the past five months? I also tried to contact him repeatedly, but I could never reach him.”

”Our master is currently in the Star Tower in the Blossoming Heaven Realm. He brought Qiao Liangren and Shang Yingyue with him, especially since they were in the Wilderness Realm at the time.” Lin Moxian then explained to his junior sister about the tower and some things from his conversation with Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Our junior brother wants to challenge another tower after he recovers, and I plan to join him, but we will go to my realm to see my aunt first. If you are interested in that, you can join us.”

”Iʼm in!” Yan Yinqing decided without thinking. ”Will our junior brother bring all his wives and partners with him?”

”Thatʼs for sure.” Lin Moxian then turned to leave. ”Letʼs go back upstairs. I havenʼt seen Aunt Lingyan for a long time, so I want to see her now.”

.

.

.

Lin Moxian and Yan Yinqing had arrived at the room on the top floor, where Tantai Lingyan was discussing with Tian Yishen.

Tantai Lingyanʼs blue hair was worn in a high bun. She has a pair of gentle and pretty blue eyes. Although she didnʼt wear any cosmetics on her mature face, she was still a beautiful woman. Her simple, snow-white clothes couldnʼt conceal the fine curves of her slim and exquisite figure. Her shoulders were chiseled, and the curves in front of her chest were gorgeous. The aura emanating from her body was slightly cold, yet calming.

”Oh?” Tantai Lingyan turned to them directly. ”When did you arrive in this realm, Little Moxian?”

”Not long ago, Aunt Lingyan.” Lin Moxian sat down in front of them with Yan Yinqing. ”I brought my junior brother here because his injuries were quite severe, but Senior Yishen was busy with you, so I handed him over to Xiao Laoshu, who is currently taking care of him.”

Tantai Lingyan nodded in understanding. ”Iʼve heard many things from my father-in-law about Senior Hun Diʼs newest disciple, but how did he suffer such severe injuries? Did someone attack him?”

”Not at all.” Lin Moxian then told Tantai Lingyan and Tian Yishen about Zhang Xiaolong [3], causing both of them to frown.

”That kid is too reckless.” Tian Yishen commented by shaking his head. ”Breaking through the three minor stages is already difficult even for senior cultivators like us, yet he forced himself to break through to the next major stage, and he was truly lucky not to become a cripple because of his recklessness.”

”I agree with you, Senior Yishen.” Tantai Lingyan then asked. ”How is your junior brotherʼs condition now? Has he passed his crisis period?”

Lin Moxian nodded at her. ”Laoshu told me that his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is recovering quickly. However, his actions have made his cultivation foundation too fragile, so he must rest from cultivating for a while.”

”Yeah, he must rest first.” Tantai Lingyan then asked Tian Yishen. ”Is there no other way to normalize my Qi flow?”

”No.” Tian Yishen shook his head. ”The only way to normalize your Qi flow is to unclog your veins, but the cold is too strong, so you need items with high Yang Qi intensity, such as the flame ginseng, the flaming sun essence, or other items.”

Tantai Lingyan nodded in understanding. ”In that case, Iʼll take my leave, and Iʼll go to the alchemy sector to look for those items. Would you like to join us, Little Moxian?”

”Iʼll catch up with you two after I talk to Senior Yishen, Aunt Lingyan.”

Thereafter, Tantai Lingyan and Yan Yinqing left the room, but they did not leave the building immediately. Instead, the two women went to the healing chamber to see Zhang Xiaolong [3].

Lin Moxian immediately spoke to Tian Yishen. ”Senior, I want you to keep all information about my junior brother under wraps, or the situation will become bad for him.”

”Does he have any powerful enemies?”

”Yes.” Lin Moxian then told Tian Yishen about Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs problems with the heavenly fox race, but he didnʼt tell him that his junior brother was a heavenly fox himself. ”Those foxes are hunting him in the middle realms, and they will also hunt him in the upper realms if they find out about his presence here, so I hope for your help in hiding everything about him.”

”You donʼt need to worry about that, and I will close all information about that kid.” Lin Moxian hurried to catch up with Tantai Lingyan and Yan Yinqing, and Tian Yishen went to check on Zhang Xiaolong [3] himself.

.

.

.

Tian Yishen was already standing in front of the healing capsule, where Zhang Xiaolong [3] was unconscious. He was reading his health check data through a small screen in his hand. ”Have you checked his body thoroughly, Laoshu? Have you located the source of the light elements in his body?”

Xiao Laoshu shook her head. ”This kid has light elements, but the ones on his body are definitely not his own. They belong to some people, but I couldnʼt locate the source.”

Tian Yishen nodded and returned his focus to Zhang Xiaolongʼs data [3]. ʼIf my guess is correct, this kid is a clone. However, I have never seen such a realistic clone, and the light elements on his body should belong to the people around his real body. This kid was truly fortunate that Lin Moxian brought him here, and he also had those people by his side. Otherwise, he wouldnʼt be able to recover so quickly, and he would probably become a cripple due to his severe injuries. However, I donʼt understand the heavenly fox raceʼs reason for hunting him, especially since I couldnʼt find anything special inside his body, except for his four cores.ʼ

”How long will it take for this kid to recover, Senior?” Xiao Laoshu asked.

”Hmm?” Tian Yishen first looked at Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs data. ”He should be able to fully recover in three to five hours, and you should immediately tell him not to cultivate for at least a month, or his cultivation foundation will collapse.”

”Iʼll tell him after he wakes up.”

Tian Yishen then left the place, his thoughts filled with wonder. ʼNo wonder Hun Di is willing to accept that kid as his disciple! He is only 20 years old, but his cultivation has already reached the 1-Star Heaven Realm, and most importantly, he has four cultivation cores, which is one more than the Nameless One. If he meets this kid, he might be interested in taking him as his disciple.ʼ

A few hours later, Hu Yue and the others saw that Zhang Fei had opened his eyes. ”How do you feel?”

”I was a little weak because of my previous injury, but Iʼm fine now thanks to all of you.” Zhang Fei then took a healing pill and a qi recovery pill. ”Additionally, my senior brother brought my third clone to the Xianjin Realm, and he is currently receiving treatment using super modern medical equipment there. However, I canʼt cultivate for a while, and I have to focus on stabilizing my cultivation foundation first.”

Ru Xueʼs eyes lit up upon hearing that. ”How advanced is their medical equipment compared to the medical equipment on Earth?”

”Are you interested in seeing them?” Ru Xue answered Zhang Fei with repeated nods. ”Their equipment is no less advanced than my science capsule, so you should already know how sophisticated their medical equipment is, right? If you want to see their medical equipment, I will take you to that realm, but I want to rest for now.”

”All right, you can rest first, and we will join the others to practice.” Ru Xue and the others immediately left the room.

After they left, Zhang Feiʼs four clones began to focus on stabilizing his cultivation, especially since he wanted to challenge the second floor of the Star Tower as soon as possible. Moreover, he also wanted to explore the Xianjin Realm to find materials to produce more of his new weapons, and he couldnʼt do it in his weak state. ʼHow much Qi do I need to break through to the second stage, Mei?ʼ

[Ten million, Master. You have used all the Qi in the glass tube, and there are only three hundred thousand remaining Qi in the Qi storage.]

Zhang Fei gave a light nod. ʼThe Qi in the glass tube will be filled quickly with the existence of Ruo Yanxi, Qu Qiuxue, Ma Mingxin, and Zhou Meiling in the Yin-Yang Space. Moreover, I still have a lot of Yin Qi stored in the bottle, so I donʼt need to think about that.ʼ

[Your main task now is to stabilize your cultivation foundation, which is too fragile due to your previous breakthroughs. Fortunately, you have five clones, so itʼs not a big deal as long as they focus on doing it. By the way, the time you gave Helian Yueyi is up, so I think you should take care of that matter, and your affairs in the Nine Stars Realm will be over. That way, you can start your plans for the lower and middle realms, and you can take them away to the upper realms once everything is done.]

ʼI will go straight to Helian Yueyi once I am in good condition.ʼ Zhang Fei then sat on the bed and started to stabilize his cultivation as well.

.

In the Xianjin Realm, Xiao Laoshu had already moved Zhang Xiaolong [3] to the ward, and he re-examined his body condition. ”How did you recover from your injuries so quickly? Can you tell me about the other light elements that flowed through your body earlier?”

”Miss, I thank you for taking care of me, but we donʼt know each other, so I canʼt tell you anything.” Xiao Laoshu put on a disappointed look, but he did not force Zhang Xiaolong [3] to say it. ”Do you know where my senior brother is now?”

*Crack*

The ward door opened before Xiao Laoshu could reply to Zhang Xiaolong [3], and Lin Moxian walked in with the two women. ”Are you okay now, Junior Brother?”

”Young Master Lin, I will take my leave now.”

”Yes.” Lin Moxian then introduced the two women to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Junior brother, this little girl is your senior sister and Hong Xinxinʼs cousin, Yan Yinqing. The other one is her mother, Tantai Lingyan.”

”Hey! Iʼm not a little girl, Senior Brother!” Yan Yinqing immediately approached Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”How did you manage to defeat my grandfather in speed racing? I want to race with you, so you have to recover as soon as possible.”

Tantai Lingyan shook her head helplessly as she listened to her daughter. ”Qingʼer, your junior brother has just recovered from his injuries, and his condition is not at its peak yet, so you should restrain yourself.”

ʼSenior brother is right; this woman is truly proud of her speed.ʼ Zhang Xiaolong [3] muttered in his heart. ”Senior sister, I will compete with you after I have fully recovered, okay?”

”You must keep your word!”

”I will.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded before looking at Tantai Lingyan. ”Senior, your veins are blocked by the cold in your body, and your Qi flow has been reversed because of it. To recover, you need some items with high Yang Qi intensity, but such items are scarce.”

”Oh?” Both women were surprised to hear that, and Tantai Lingyan asked him. ”Have you ever studied medical knowledge? Could you please explain how you were able to identify my injury without examining my condition?”

Naturally, Zhang Xiaolong [3] couldnʼt tell them that Mei told him about it. ”One of my wives is a doctor, and I learned quite a lot of medical knowledge from her.”
