Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 790: Let The Two Go

Both men became serious as soon as Zhang Fei [5] mentioned Xi Hongyanʼs name. ”How do you know our matriarch?”

”Naturally, I know Xi Hongyan because we have met several times, and I saved her life yesterday.” Xi Chaozu and Xi Baoxing naturally did not believe Zhang Fei [5] because their matriarch was much stronger and more experienced than a young cultivator like him. ”Haha! If you two donʼt believe me, you can ask him directly about me, Lin Xiaolong.”

ʼLin surname? Is he really a member of that Lin Clan?ʼ Both men inwardly wondered.

Xi Chaozu immediately sent a long-distance message to Xi Hongyan to confirm it. However, her reply confused him, as she was angry while confirming that she was acquainted with Zhang Fei [5] or Lin Xiaolong.

ʼHow did it go, Brother? Does our matriarch really know this kid?ʼ Xi Baoxing inquired, glancing briefly at Zhang Fei [5].

Xi Chaozu nodded. ʼOur matriarch is acquainted with this kid, and he has saved her life. She forbade us from looking for trouble with him because he is a member of that Lin Clan, and he is also the Soul Emperorʼs newest disciple. Moreover, you have heard from the female demon before that she has relations with the phoenix race, and they are working together to stop Shang Huaqiang.ʼ

ʼWhat?ʼ Xi Baoxing screamed in shock. ʼIs he really the Soul Emperorʼs newest disciple?ʼ

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei [5] chuckled at their expression. ”Do you still doubt me?”

Both men took a deep breath before cupping their hands toward Zhang Fei [5]. ”Please forgive us for doubting you, Young Master Lin. We truly did not know that you were a member of the Lin Clan and also the Soul Emperorʼs newest disciple.”

”All right, you two donʼt need to think about it.” Zhang Fei [5] casually answered. ”Did Xi Hongyan send you two to monitor Shang Chongyun and the others?”

Xi Chaozu nodded. ”Our matriarch received information about Shang Huaqiangʼs actions in this realm nine months ago, and she also learned that she sent those four people here to restart his plan. Therefore, she sent the two of us here to keep an eye on them, especially since she wanted to know his true plan. However, we did not expect that you stopped him at that time, and you also beat up one of those four people.”

”Feng Yao and I thwarted Shang Huaqiangʼs plan nine months ago.” Both men were once again shocked after hearing the name of the Phoenix Princess from Zhang Fei [5]. ”This realm is under our protection now, so I will never allow anyone to mess around here. That guy sent the four of them to this realm, but I snatched their teleportation portal, so his new plan has already failed.”

”Can you tell us about the realm targeted by Shang Huaqiang, Young Master Lin?”

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head. ”Shang Huaqiang has already taken control of some of them, but I have no information about those realms or his purpose for controlling them, and I suspect that he wants to use them to do something bigger.”

”Something bigger?”

”Cultivators from the lower and middle realms wonʼt be able to win against cultivators from the upper realms, but they are at least as useful as cannon fodder, right?”

”You are right, Young Master Lin.” Xi Chaozu replied with a nod. ”Shang Huaqiang has always had the ambition to become the sole ruler of the Red Sun Realm, and that guy is truly evil. He will not hesitate to use his clansmen as scapegoats, let alone people who have nothing to do with him.”

”Arenʼt all clans the same? They wonʼt hesitate to sacrifice some people for their sake, and Xi Hongyan is among them.” Xi Chaozu and Xi Baoxing could only smile in response to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Your matriarch wanted to sacrifice Xi Yinying to get close to me, but I saw through her schemes, so I exchanged her life for hers.”

Xi Chaozu and Xi Baoxing naturally knew Xi Yinying because they were in the same clan, and they also knew that she was one of Xi Hongyanʼs trusted confidants. However, they did not expect that their matriarch wanted to sacrifice her, but they thought that it was not wrong because Zhang Fei [5]ʼs status was too high.

”Do you two still want to stay in this realm?” Zhang Fei [5] asked them. ”Shang Huaqiangʼs plan has failed once again, and his four subordinates are my prisoners now, so you donʼt need to waste your time monitoring them.”

Xi Chaozu and Xi Baoxing exchanged glances for a moment. ”Since there is nothing else we can do in this realm, we will return to ours now. Moreover, our matriarch already knows of your presence in this realm, so I donʼt think she will blame us.”

Zhang Fei [5] then opened the gate to the Red Sun Realm. ”You guys will arrive at the Hong Clan right away, and you can tell them that I sent you there so they wonʼt stop you two from returning to the Xi Clan. If Xi Hongyan asks how you guys got back there so quickly, you can tell her that a woman helped me send you two back.”

”We understand, Young Master Lin.” Both men immediately entered the gate and returned to their clan using the returning jade.

[Why did you let them go, Master?]

Zhang Fei [5] closed the gate before answering the female AI. ”Shouldnʼt you already know my character, Mei? Just like Xi Yinying, I can see their souls, and they are not bad people, so I decided to let them go.”

[Master, your demon eyes are indeed one of your best advantages, especially since you can recognize other peopleʼs characters from their souls easily.]

Zhang Fei [5] gave a light nod. ”However, my demon eyes are not yet perfect, and I cannot see that Huo Ling resides in Feng Yaoʼs soul. I hope my demon eyesʼ ability will be upgraded when I evolve to a transcendent lust demon.”

[Unfortunately, I canʼt confirm the changes to your demon abilities right now, so we have to wait for you to evolve to a transcendent lust demon first. Therefore, you must eat Ju Yingzhi and Xin Yanluo as soon as possible because their female essence is much stronger than all the female demons by your side, and you can also eat Tian Gongzhu, Qin Ying, and Ximen Yueliang.]

Zhang Fei [5] did not say anything in reply to Mei, and he went straight back to the succubi tower to meet Tian Gongzhu. The female demon heavenly fox told him that Tian Jiyuan had not replied to her message, so he took her back to the Nine Hells Darkland because the wandering souls had not completely disappeared.

At the Xi Clan, Xi Hongyan stared at Xi Chaozu and Xi Baoxing with an incredulous expression, especially after they told her about how Zhang Fei [5] sent them back to their realm. She then turned to Xi Qiuwei. ”Who do you think the identity of that woman is, Auntie?”

”Lin Xiaolong is really not simple, Hongyan.” Xi Hongyan agreed with Xi Qiuwei, especially after his action to immobilize her yesterday. ”He is Hun Diʼs disciple, and these guys said that Princess Feng Yao helped him to thwart Shang Huaqiangʼs plan. As far as I remember, there is only one race that can open gates and travel to different realms easily, but I find it hard to believe that he also has a relationship with them.”

”Which race?”

”The heavenly fox race.” Xi Hongyan only realized it after Xi Qiuwei said it. ”The Nameless One possesses the void element, but he canʼt move realms as quickly as the members of that fox race, so Iʼm sure that woman is one of them. However, they have always closed themselves off from outsiders, let alone humans, so I canʼt understand why that woman would help Lin Xiaolong.”

”You guys go back to your places now.” Once Xi Chaozu and Xi Baoxing had departed, Xi Hongyan inquired. ”Do you think we can find out information about Lin Xiaolongʼs relationship with the heavenly fox race?”

”You need to abandon your idea.” Xi Qiuwei replied with a soft sigh. ”The heavenly fox race will not accept the presence of outsiders in their realm, and they will kill anyone who dares to trespass in it. The only solution is to approach Lin Moxian, and you can do that easily.”

Xi Hongyanʼs face darkened because Xi Qiuwei kept mentioning Lin Moxian, even though she had told her too many times that she was not interested in him, let alone marry a man. She suddenly felt those invisible hands groping her body again, so she hurriedly left and returned to her room.

”What happened to her? Why do I feel like she often acts strange lately? Her face flushed red, as if she felt something unusual in her body.” Xi Qiuwei shook her head and went elsewhere.

On the flying artifact, Zhang Xiaolong [3] smiled in amusement as he watched Lin Moxian play with his puppet that he used to store Xi Hongyanʼs soul replica. ”Senior brother, why donʼt you use a little force to subdue that woman? She is indeed cold and cruel, but she is actually too innocent when it comes to love. If you are a little forceful and aggressive with her, I am sure she will submit to you.”

”Haha.” Lin Moxian laughed awkwardly as he rubbed his head. ”To tell you the truth, I myself am inexperienced with women, and Xi Hongyan is the first woman I have fallen in love with. Moreover, I am not familiar with her character, so I am at a loss as to where to start.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] sighed before telling him. ”Xi Hongyanʼs self-esteem is very high, so you canʼt use a casual approach toward her. A woman like her prefers to be dominated, so you have to be more assertive and show your power to dominate her. She may not accept you right away, but Iʼm sure her heart will slowly melt if you do that, and she will eventually fall into your arms.”

”Do you have a woman like her next to you?”

”I have several women similar to Xi Hongyan.” Lin Moxian wore a curious look because she had never met Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs other woman, other than Hong Xinxin and Murong Qianying. He then summoned Boitata out of the beast space, surprising his senior brother. ”She is a divine serpent dragon, and her pride is no less high than Xi Hongyan.”

”Humph!” Boitata snorted at that. ”Husband, if you called me out just for something like this, you can send me back now. I canʼt wait to break through to the 4-Star Sovereign Realm, so I would rather not waste my time here.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] glared at her. ”Iʼll tie you up and smack your ass later!”

”Haha.” Boitata giggled at his threat. ”Do you think Iʼm afraid of your threats? Youʼve done it to me too many times, remember?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] couldnʼt help but sigh at Boitataʼs shamelessness, and he sent him back to the beast space directly.

”Where did you meet her, Junior Brother?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately told Lin Moxian about his first meeting with Boitata. ”So, you subdued her with your bloodline power?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at him. ”Boitata was truly arrogant back then, and she looked down on me because I was much weaker than her. I used my bloodline power to subdue her, and she has become one of my best wives. Xi Hongyan is similar to her, so you can try using my idea to subdue her.”

”Hey, have you ever been interested in Xi Hongyan?”

”Yes.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] openly admitted it. ”Xi Hongyan is an attractive woman, and her figure can make any man interested in her, including me. I do like women, but I am not greedy. You are my senior brother, and you like her, so I have no intention of approaching her. In fact, there are several attractive women by my side, but I never do anything to them, especially since my friends and family like them.”

Lin Moxian nodded in understanding. ”No wonder our master immediately accepted you as his disciple, even though he had only met you for the first time. The characters of the two of you are quite similar, and you two place great importance on those closest to you.”

”Haha.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] laughed. ”Senior brother, no matter how strong we are, we will need the help of many people one day. Outsiders wonʼt necessarily help us, so we can only rely on those closest to us.”

”You are right.” Lin Moxian nodded in response. ”Our master has always emphasized how important those closest to us are, and we must always treat them well.”

”Our master is not wrong about that, but we cannot blindly trust them. Even though they are the closest people to us, we cannot know whatʼs in their hearts.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] released a soft sigh before continuing. ”Before I became a cultivator, my biological brother betrayed me and stole my girlfriend at the time. They framed me and my big sister for something we never did, and my parents disowned me because of it. In the end, I killed them because they never changed, and they intended to kill me with the help of other people. I trust the people closest to me, but I still keep a little distance from them, including you, Senior Brother Liangren, and Senior Sister Yingyue.”

Lin Moxian didnʼt think much about it and asked again. ”What about your wives? Do you also keep a little distance from them?”

”Yes.” Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs answer surprised Lin Moxian. ”Among all my wives, only my little sister knows all my secrets because she loves me wholeheartedly, and I believe she will never betray me. The second person I trust the most is my grandmother because she always believes in me, and she always stands by me when I am at my lowest.”

”Are you also interested in your grandmother?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately denied it. ”I only have respect and familial love for my grandmother, so I donʼt have that kind of thought toward her. Anyways, how many more days until we arrive at the Xianjin Realm?”

”Around ten days.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then looked towards the front. ”Are you impatient to arrive at that realm?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded. ”I want Cheng Gaoji to create some other weapons for me, but I donʼt have their materials, especially the luminous Qi crystal.”

”How did you know Cheng Gaoji?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately explained to Lin Moxian. ”Hahahaha! That senile old man is idiotic! He already knows Shang Huaqiangʼs character, but he still took his bait, and he ended up becoming your subordinate. Although he isnʼt as good as Gong Ren, he is popular among cultivators, so youʼre lucky to get him.”

”Thatʼs right.”

Early in the morning, Zhang Fei took the two women into the training space, and he went straight to the Cloud Manxion.

Bai Tianʼer was completely amazed to see so many people inside the place, even more so when she saw the two luxurious mansions. Bai Shushi immediately dragged her along and introduced her to Zhang Chen and the others before guiding her to begin her training.

Inside the Cloud Mansion, Zhang Fei discussed with all his women for quite some time, and they started to dual soul cultivate after that. Since Xu Lingʼer had also reached the soul realm, he asked the little girl to join them.

However, Xu Lingʼer brought Tasha with her, but Zhang Fei did not mind it, and he taught the two girls to dual soul cultivate with her directly.

On the demon island, Ximen Changtian, Nu Huangjin, and Ximen Yan have already announced the merger of the two demon kingdoms.

The demons of the Dark Demon Kingdoms objected to it because it was not the decision of Ximen Gongfu and Zheng Mohei, but none of them voiced their objections because their main backer, the Zheng Clan, had already been destroyed.

Naturally, both demon kingdoms merged under Zhang Feiʼs demon fox group, making his group truly large and controlling almost the entire Nine Stars Realm.
