Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 776: Retreat

After Bai Tianʼer arrived there, Linghu Yincheng immediately told her and Bai Zizhen about her plans regarding the future of the Bai Kingdom, shocking not only the two of them but also her three children. ”Even though a cultivator from the upper realms helped Huangfu Shou to do that to us, it was undeniable that we were too negligent and weak, which caused us to fall into their control. I have thought about this matter after Zhang Fei freed me from their control, and I feel that we are no longer fit to lead our kingdom. Moreover, Zhou Shenxin has ascended the throne and become the empress of the Zhou Kingdom, so I think itʼs time for the younger generation to lead our kingdom. Chongxi is the crown prince, so I want him to succeed his father to lead our kingdom. However, he cannot lead it alone, and he still needs our help.”

”Honestly, I have no problem with that, Yincheng. Bai Chongxi has been the crown prince for a long time, and he will ascend to become the emperor sooner or later.” Bai Zizhen paused for a while. ”However, we should not decide on this matter without your husband present, and we should wait for Zhang Fei to release him before making a decision.”

”For now, this matter is just my thoughts, and the decision still has to wait for my husband.” Linghu Yincheng then spoke to Bai Tianʼer. ”Once my husband is free, we will announce the return of your family and the others to the royal family, and I hope you can help Chongxi when he ascends the throne.”

Bai Tianʼer shook her head in refusal. ”Aunt Lingzhu, itʼs not that I donʼt like your plan, and Iʼm actually thrilled if my family can return to the royal family. However, Iʼm not interested in royal affairs because they will only waste my time, and I want to focus on my cultivation and personal affairs, so you have to choose other people to help my cousin.”

”Do you want to chase Zhang Fei?”

”Yes.” Bai Tianʼer immediately admitted it. ”I fell in love with Zhang Fei after we spent some time together in the Star Tower, but there was something about me that made him unwilling to accept me, and he kept rejecting me. I have understood my shortcomings, and I have been trying to change them. Unfortunately, my changes are still not enough to convince him to accept me. Thus, I want to focus on personal life, and I will convince him to accept me in the future.”

”Iʼm like you too, cousin.” Bai Tianʼer turned to Bai Shouyi. ”I started liking Zhang Fei after he found me unconscious in the maze challenge, but he always acted indifferent to me, and he was not even willing to take the time to talk to me. Every time he visited us in the Azure Sky Realm, he only talked with my big brother and mother, and he immediately left again without greeting me. He told my mother that I wanted to take advantage of him like you, even though I never thought like that, and he didnʼt want to get close to me because of that.”

”I did intend to take advantage of him at first, especially after I learned of his abilities.” Bai Tianʼer sighed heavily before continuing. ”His abilities convinced me that he could help me seize the Bai Kingdom from Uncle Yaowei, so I wanted to take advantage of him to help me. However, he was aware of my intentions, and he kept his distance from me, no matter how hard I tried to get closer to him. Back at the Star Tower, I kept trying to seduce him, and we kissed, but he was never willing to accept me. Instead, he was more interested in my mother, and she lived with him for the past three months.”

Bai Shouyi, Bai Chongxi, Bai Renfu, and Bai Zizhen fell into a daze after hearing Bai Tianʼs words about Bai Shushi.

”You guys must find it strange, right?” Bai Tianʼer posed the question with a wry smile. ”Honestly, I myself find it strange that Zhang Fei is more interested in my mother, but some of his wives are mothers and daughters, such as Shen Xueyi and Shen Yu. Therefore, I am no longer surprised that he is interested in her, and I think itʼs not a big deal because she is a free woman. Regardless, all the women you saw at his wedding to Zhou Shenxin were still not all of them, and he still had many other women by his side.”

”Zhang Fei has so many women, huh?” Bai Shouyi muttered to herself, especially since the number of Zhang Feiʼs women she saw at that time was already numerous, and there were more than twenty of them.

Bai Tianʼer nodded at her cousin. ”I can understand your feelings for Zhang Fei, but you should rethink it again. You are different from me, and Iʼm sure you will have a challenging time accepting his polyamorous relationship.”

”Youʼre right, Cousin.” Bai Shouyi replied with a soft sigh.

Linghu Yincheng stroked her daughterʼs head directly. ”If you love Zhang Fei, you should learn to accept his relationship. If you canʼt accept it, you should learn to forget him, and you will find another man in the future.”

”I know, Mother.” Linghu Yincheng then spoke to Bai Zizhen. ”Since you have no problem with it, we will make the final decision after my husband is free from their control.”

After that, Linghu Yincheng did not bring her three children back to the small island, but instead, she brought them to the Bai Royal Palace. After all, Zhang Fei had cleared out all of Huangfu Shouʼs spies from their kingdom, and Old Wen lived together with Wushuang in the palace.

Unfortunately, Bai Yaowei was still like a soulless puppet, and he did not give any response to them without Wushuang and the othersʼ orders.

As soon as Mei informed him that Shang Ziyuan and Shi Wuxian were close, Zhang Fei and Jin Ruyue stopped their dual soul cultivation straight away. They waited for the arrival of the two women from the main hall, which was covered by the dense forest that covered the Jin Clanʼs residence.

”What about Xi Hongyan and Xi Qiuwei? Have they arrived in this region?” Jin Ruyue asked.

Zhang Fei first opened the map and searched for the location of the two women. ”The two of them have already arrived at the outskirts of this region, and they should arrive a little later than Shang Ziyuan and Shi Wuxian.”

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

”Theyʼre here.” Zhang Fei immediately hugged Jin Ruyue and took her into the invisible state. They watched Shang Ziyuan and Shi Wuxian, who were already standing in the sky above the residence, with puzzled looks.

ʼShi Wuxian is as strong as Shang Huaqiang and Fei Qinyuan.ʼ Jin Ruyue whispered.

Zhang Fei nodded to her. ʼShi Wuxianʼs cultivation has already reached the 2-Moon Ascendant Realm, but Xi Hongyan is as strong as her. However, Xi Qiuwei is slightly stronger than her, so she should be able to stop her. So letʼs wait for them to arrive, and I will wait for the winner among them before I act.ʼ

ʼAll right.ʼ

”Where did this forest come from?” Shi Wuxian asked in confusion.

”Four months ago, I went to this region, and this forest still didnʼt exist at that time, so Iʼm confused about how this residence could become like this now.” Shang Ziyuan then used her senses to check inside the Jin Clanʼs residence, but she frowned after she failed to find anyone inside. ”Thereʼs no one inside.”

”Hmm?” Shi Wuxian also checked the residence, but the results were the same. ”Do you think Jin Ruyue has noticed our presence and moved all her clan members elsewhere?”

Shang Ziyuan nodded in response. ”Jin Ruyue must have known our plan, but we only planned it today. However, the number of her clan members is not small, so she shouldnʼt be able to move them this quickly.”

Both women suddenly felt two powerful auras moving towards them, and their expressions turned tense as Xi Hongyan and Xi Qiuwei arrived in front of them.

ʼShit! I forgot that Xi Hongyan had her spies in my clan, and that person must have told her that we came here.ʼ Shang Ziyuan frantically spoke.

Shi Wuxian grabbed her shoulder and spoke to her. ʼHey, relax! You donʼt have to be afraid of them with me here, and itʼs a good chance for us to get rid of them.ʼ

ʼAre you sure you can control them?ʼ Shi Wuxian nodded to Shang Ziyuan, but she still couldnʼt calm down because Xi Hongyan and Xi Qiuwei were clearly stronger than her.

Although Xi Hongyan and Xi Qiuwei were confident in capturing Shang Ziyuan, they still did not make a move to do so, mainly because of Shi Wuxianʼs presence by her side.

ʼI didnʼt expect this woman to be here, Aunt.ʼ Xi Hongyan spoke to Xi Qiuwei. ʼIʼve heard that all of her abilities are related to hypnosis and control, and not many cultivators can resist her abilities, especially non-soul cultivators like us.ʼ

Xi Qiuwei gave a light nod. ʼHas Lin Moxian left this realm? If he is still here, you can contact him for help, and he will definitely be able to stop him.ʼ

ʼLin Moxian left right away after she helped me control Shang Xishun.ʼ Xi Hongyan then asked. ʼShould we abandon our intention to capture Shang Ziyuan? We will be the ones to lose if we fall under that womanʼs control, and our clan will fall into their hands.ʼ

ʼI think thatʼs the best choice.ʼ

”Didnʼt you two come here to capture Ziyuan? Why are you still not moving? Are you afraid of me?” Shi Wuxian posed the questions with a provocative smile on her face. ”Didnʼt you want to be the sole ruler of this realm, Xi Hongyan? However, I didnʼt expect you to be such a coward, and you were afraid of a harmless woman like me.”

Xi Hongyanʼs face darkened at Shi Wuxianʼs provocation, but Xi Qiuwei immediately grabbed her shoulders and shook her head at him. ʼDonʼt let your anger get the better of you.ʼ

Shi Wuxianʼs lips curled up before provoking Xi Qiuwei. ”Hey, old woman! Your cultivation is three levels above me, yet you donʼt dare to face me. If I were you, I would cripple my cultivation and live as an ordinary woman.”

”Haha.” Xi Qiuwei laughed at that. ”Itʼs true that my cultivation is three levels above yours, but Iʼm not a stupid woman, and I wonʼt act blindly after knowing my opponentʼs abilities.”

”Humph!” Shi Wuxian snorted. ”If you donʼt dare to fight me, then get lost and donʼt interfere with our affairs. If you guys donʼt want to go, I will attack you now, and you guys will be my playthings.”

”You—”

”Stop it, Hongyan.” Xi Qiuwei stopped Xi Hongyan directly. ”Weʼre unlucky that this woman is here now, so letʼs go back now and make another plan.”

Xi Hongyan clenched both fists as she glared at Shi Wuxian, but she then gave Shang Ziyuan a strange smile, causing her to shiver. ”You can escape us today, but you will fall into our hands soon.”

After that, Xi Hongyan and Xi Qiuwei took out and broke their returning jade, disappearing from Shang Ziyuan and Shi Wuxianʼs sight.

Zhang Fei and Jin Ruyue, who witnessed all of this from the Jin Clanʼs main hall, were disappointed with Xi Hongyan and Xi Qiuweiʼs departure. They hoped that the two women would fight with Shang Ziyuan and Shi Wuxian, but the result was the opposite of their wishes.

Shang Ziyuan patted her chest in relief after the two women disappeared. ”Shall we check on the Jin Clan now?”

”Letʼs go.”

As soon as Shi Wuxian and Shang Ziyuan entered the artificial forest, white smoke began to fill the interior, forcing the two women to envelop their bodies with their Qi. However, they were a little late because they had already inhaled a little, which caused their Qi to become a little chaotic.

Shi Wuxian and Shang Ziyuan frowned at that, but they were shocked when the trees moved to attack them, followed by many roots shooting out from beneath them. Unfortunately, these trees and roots didnʼt pose any significant threat to them, and they could easily destroy them, but they endlessly regenerated and attacked them again.

After Shi Wuxian and Shang Ziyuan tried to destroy the forest for some time to no avail, the two women intended to escape by flying into the sky, but those trees followed them by growing taller.

”What the hell with these trees!” Shi Wuxian shouted as she destroyed the tree roots binding her legs. ”Whoever controls this forest, Iʼm sure that person has the wood element.”

Shang Ziyuan nodded in agreement as she attacked all the trees and roots that continued to attack them. ”We canʼt keep going like this, and we have to escape as soon as possible, or weʼll run out of Qi just fighting these damn trees.”

Zhang Fei naturally wouldnʼt let Shi Wuxian and Shang Ziyuan escape from his grasp. He immediately moved behind them, touched their backs, and used his enhanced demon touch against them.

”Hyan!” Shi Wuxian and Shang Ziyuan instantly released loud moans as their lust overflowed, causing them to almost fall from the sky. However, they immediately suppressed the sensation, stabilized themselves, and released two powerful shockwaves from their bodies.

*Swoosh… Swoosh…*

Those trees and roots were blown away in various directions, and their attacks also affected the Jin Clan residence, causing many of the residenceʼs walls to crack. Fortunately, Zhang Fei swiftly teleported far above them, so he was unaffected by their attacks.

”What happened just now? I felt someone touching me, and that touch caused my lust to overflow.” Shang Ziyuan spoke while controlling her heavy breathing.

Shi Wuxian also regulated her heavy breathing. ”Ziyuan, I once met someone with such an ability, but that person was a demon. Back then, I almost fell into his hands, but I managed to control myself and escape from him.”

”Does that mean there is a demon lurking in this clan?” Shang Ziyuan asked in shock.

”Yes.” Shi Wuxian then took out an artifact and activated it, and a white sphere immediately enveloped the two of them. ”If the person who attacked us just now was really a demon, he wouldnʼt dare touch this sphere, so weʼll be safe from him.”

Zhang Fei, who was standing in the sky, smiled amusedly when he saw that. Shi Wuxian was not wrong that he was a demon, but he was not an ordinary demon, and the light sphere would not be able to stop him. ʼThese two women are quite amazing; they can still control themselves and think sanely after being affected by my enhanced demon touch. Letʼs try using my hormone manipulation on them. If they can still withstand the effects, Iʼll have to find another way to capture them.ʼ

Zhang Fei released his pink gas and directed it at the two women, and it managed to pass through the light sphere, forcing them to inhale it.

”Ugh!”

Shi Wuxian and Shang Ziyuan once again let out loud moans, and their bodies heated up instantly as their lust quickly took over their minds, which shocked both of them. Even though pink heart symbols had appeared in their eyes, they still managed to maintain a bit of their sanity, so they quickly took out and crushed their returning jades.

”They are indeed different from other women! Although they are not soul cultivators, they managed to resist my hormone manipulation.” Zhang Fei then removed his artificial forest from the Jin Clan before landing in front of Jin Ruyue. ”Unfortunately, we missed the chance to capture them, so we have to think of another way for that. At least they failed to capture you and your clan members, but I think you should move out of here for the time being, and you can stay in the Hong Clan.”

Jin Ruyue immediately agreed to that. ”Letʼs go; weʼre leaving for the Hong Clan right now.”
