Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 767: To The Xi Clan

”You—”

”You what?” Zhang Fei let go of Helian Yueyi and sat on the side of the bed. ”Are you still unaware of your situation?”

Helian Yueyi frowned. ”What do you mean by that?”

”A month and a half have passed since we last met, and I have given you a chance to save yourself and your children. Unfortunately, you still havenʼt decided on the matter, and your time is rapidly running out.” Helian Yueyi clenched his fists as he glared at Zhang Fei, especially since it was impossible for him to kill Huangfu Shou. ”Zhou Shenxin has just ascended the throne, so she is the empress of the Zhou Kingdom now.”

Helian Yueyi was completely shocked listening to Zhang Feiʼs revelation. ”What? Why didnʼt I hear the news?”

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei chuckled. ”Naturally, you wouldnʼt hear that because I already got rid of all your husbandʼs spies long ago, and Zhou Shenxin had everything ready since last month. Additionally, I have also gotten rid of all his spies in the Bai Kingdom since three months ago, and all the major clans of that kingdom have become my subordinates now.”

Helian Yueyi froze in her spot after she heard that, and she did not expect that Zhang Fei had moved so quickly. ”Does Linghu Yinchengʼs disappearance have anything to do with you?”

”Isnʼt that obvious?” Zhang Fei asked her back. ”Li Tiannan used the Gu Insect on Linghu Yincheng and her husband, but I managed to free her, and she is in a safe place with her three children. I havenʼt been able to free Bai Yaowei yet, but it wonʼt be long. This way, the four kingdoms are already by my side, and only your kingdom is left. By the way, you should not say anything to that guy and your husband, unless you want to lose your two daughters, especially since they are in my hands now.”

”Why are you doing this? What are you doing to them?” Helian Yueyi asked in a high voice.

”I was never interested in attacking defenseless women, so I didnʼt do anything to them.” Zhang Fei turned to the two women, who were still sound asleep and rubbing their cheeks. ”Instead, I imprisoned their subconscious in the dreamland, and I gave them sweet dreams, so they werenʼt tormented by the effects of the black liquid back then.”

After several months, Helian Yueyi finally got the answer to why her two daughters were falling asleep for so long. She remembered that they had been very calm since they fell into deep slumber, and they had not experienced the slightest pain in the past, but she was also shocked to hear that Zhang Fei could do such a thing. ”Can you release them? I miss them so much, so I want to talk to them.”

”Why should I release them?” Zhang Fei looked at Helian Yueyi again. ”After you successfully kill Huangfu Shou, I will release your two daughters then.”

”You—” Helian Yueyi swallowed her words. Her eyes widened as her body trembled, and she subconsciously took several steps back. ”You... you are a demon!”

Zhang Fei, who was already in his demon form, got up from the bed and walked in front of Helian Yueyi. He lifted her chin and stared at her eyes with his blood-red eyes. ”I am a demon, not a saint, and I will never do anything unless it benefits me. I will never harm you or your two daughters, and all I want is your husbandʼs life, so you can choose between his life or theirs. If I kill him myself, then they will accompany him.”

”Why? Why are you doing this to me? Why are you forcing me to choose between their lives?” Helian Yueyi asked him in a trembling voice as tears flowed down from the corners of her eyes.

”Didnʼt your husband want to capture and control my son before? Have you ever thought about the people you and your husband have persecuted and oppressed for the past few hundred years?” Zhang Fei turned the question around. ”Fortunately, my son is different from them, and he has several strong protectors by his side; otherwise, he would have fallen into the hands of you two. Since you and your husband like to do such things, you can consider this incident as the karma of the two of you. If you can hand over his life to me, I will let you and your children go. I will never bother your life anymore, and you can live a new, more peaceful life with your children.”

Helian Yueyiʼs lips opened and closed several times, and she wanted to refute Zhang Feiʼs words, but no words came out to refute him, especially since she herself was aware that she and her husband had caused so many people to suffer.

”Oh, I know that your husbandʼs ancestors are on their way to this realm, and I have already prepared something to counter them. It would be wise for you to remain silent and avoid discussing this matter with them, or else you will regret it.” After he said that, Zhang Fei immediately disappeared from Helian Yueyiʼs sight.

After some time, Helian Yueyi wiped her tears and sat on the bed, looking at her two sleeping daughters. She rubbed their cheeks as he thought of Zhang Feiʼs previous words. ʼYou two donʼt need to worry; I will definitely save you from the hands of that evil demon at all costs.ʼ

After he left the Huangfu Kingdom, Zhang Fei entered the Yin-Yang Space. He did not stay in for long and came out again after he absorbed the Qi in the glass tube, especially since his Qi was still lacking to break through to the 7-Star Earth Realm.

[Congratulations! The hostʼs cultivation broke through to the 7 Star Earth Realm.]

”Having a few prisoners with high cultivation is indeed beneficial to me.” After that, Zhang Fei left the Yin-Yang Space and looked for an empty place to break through.

After he found it, Zhang Fei immediately summoned Lei Que out of the beast space. ”Letʼs do it again.”

”Yes, Master.” As usual, Lei Que, the thunderbird, led Zhang Fei into the darkened sky, accompanied by numerous lightning flashes.

In the soul pond, Wang Yin, who was cultivating inside it, immediately opened her eyes as soon as she sensed the Qi fluctuation in Zhang Fei [5]ʼs body. She looked at him in surprise, especially since he looked so calm, even though his cultivation was about to break through.

Moreover, Zhang Fei [5] did not stop absorbing the things in the pond, and he had already started absorbing the wandering souls above them.

Wang Yin nodded a few times as she noticed that Zhang Fei [5] encountered no obstacles in his breakthrough. ʼThis kid is indeed an outstanding demon cultivator, and those old folks will scramble to get him if they witness him doing all this. Thus, I have to do something to get him before they realize his presence, or I will lose out to them.ʼ

Since Zhang Fei [5] was focused on his breakthrough, Wang Yin decided not to disturb him and would talk to him after he finished. She then closed her eyes again and resumed her cultivation.

”Hmm?” Lin Moxian immediately stopped flying as soon as he felt the Qi fluctuations within Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs body. ”Do you want to break through first?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] no longer used his ten-year-old form, but he had returned to his true form with a slight change in his face, especially since he did not want Xi Hongyan to know his true identity.

”No need.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] refused. ”My breakthrough isnʼt too difficult, and I can do it while traveling, so you donʼt need to worry about me, Senior Brother.”

Lin Moxian shook his head after hearing that. ”Do you realize how ridiculous you are? Even our teacher wouldnʼt dare to move when he breaks through, but you said that you can break through while traveling, and Iʼve never met such a cultivator before.”

”Hehe.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] chuckled in response. ”I had difficulties when I broke through to the Earth Realm the first time, but Iʼve improved a lot after that. My lightning body cultivation technique has already been broken through twice, so my body has become stronger to deal with my breakthrough. Moreover, Iʼve gone through lightning tribulations too many times, so Iʼm used to it now.”

Lin Moxian released a heavy sigh. ”Even though you donʼt show it, I can still feel your killing intent and bloodlust. Therefore, I am no longer surprised if the heavens want to kill you, especially since you are too bloody, with the blood of countless living beings soaking your hands. I know you kill to protect yourself and those closest to you, but you must learn to control your desire to kill. If you canʼt control that, you will become a bloodthirsty murderer one day, and the heavens will punish you with much stronger lightning tribulations specifically to kill you.”

”Thank you for your advice, Senior Brother.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] sincerely replied. ”I will try to control my desire to kill, especially because many people will be sad and suffer if I turn into such a person.”

Lin Moxian nodded. ”Letʼs speed up so we can arrive at the Xi Clan faster.”

”Let me take you there, Senior Brother.” Before Lin Moxian could react, Zhang Xiaolong [3] had already grabbed his shoulders and carried him away using the Nine Cloud Steps.

In a few minutes, they had arrived not far from the Xi Clanʼs location, leaving Lin Moxian dumbfounded for a while. Soon, he came back to his senses and immediately messed up Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs hair. ”You crazy kid! Your speed is even faster than Grandpa Yan Leibao!”

”Haha.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] laughed. ”Actually, I met Grandpa Yan a month ago, and we had a race at that time, but he didnʼt manage to catch up to me. As a result, he passed on his clanʼs two speed techniques to two of my wives, and I have also learned both of them.”

”Seriously! All your abilities leave me speechless!” Lin Moxian then told him something. ”By the way, our masterʼs third disciple is Yan Yingqin, and she is Hong Xinxinʼs cousin. Compared to Grandpa Yan, her speed is much faster, and our master is willing to accept her because of her unique soul. However, she is quite spoiled, stubborn, and childish. She will pester you endlessly if you manage to beat her in a speed race, especially since she always boasts of her speed. Therefore, you should give in to her if you donʼt want your life to be disturbed, or she will never stop until she manages to defeat you.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded in understanding. ”All right, I will listen to your words, and I will immediately surrender if Senior Sister Yan Yingqin wants to race with me.”

”Letʼs go.” Lin Moxian directly led him to the Xi Clan. Like before, none of them dared to greet them, but they were curious about Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs identity.

Xi Hongyan, who sensed the presence of the two, immediately came out to meet them. She immediately stopped when she saw Zhang Xiaolong [3], and her expression changed to surprise after she checked his bone age and cultivation. She noticed that he was in the process of making a breakthrough, but he seemed unperturbed by it. ”Who is he, Moxian? Is he your relative? Why doesnʼt he focus on his breakthrough first?”

”His name is Lin Xiaolong, and he is my cousin. I happened to meet him when I was visiting the Hong Clan, so I brought him here with me.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] was a little surprised that Lin Moxian introduced him to Xi Hongyan as such, but he immediately played along with his game. ”As you can see, he is different from other cultivators, and his breakthrough is not a big deal to him, so you donʼt need to worry about him. By the way, he is Hong Xinxinʼs future husband, and the Hong Clan will be close relatives with my Lin Clan in the future.”

Xi Hongyan was shocked and furious after she heard that, especially since she also intended to target the Hong Clan after she destroyed the Shang Clan. If they had such a relationship with the Lin Clan, which was supported by the alchemist goddess, Lin Jingxia, then her plans would be in disarray.

Xi Hongyan and her Xi Clan were indeed powerful in the Red Sun Realm, but they would never win against the Lin Clan, and it would be no different from seeking destruction if she wanted to fight with the Hong Clan. After all, Lin Jingxiaʼs reputation was too high, and all the cultivators in the upper realms always tried hard to please her in order to obtain her pills; even a cultivator of the caliber of the Nameless One was very respectful toward her.

”Is he really Hong Xinxinʼs future husband? Why have I never heard of it?” Xi Hongyan doubtfully asked. ”As I recall, he was only interested in Shang Guangming, and all the cultivators in the realm already knew about that matter for a long time.”

Lin Moxian naturally understood Xi Hongyanʼs thoughts. ”You decide whether to believe me, but Iʼve told you the truth, and lying to you wonʼt help me. I know your ambition to become the sole ruler of this realm, but you must not seek trouble with the Hong Clan. My cousin is not only Hong Xinxinʼs future husband, but he is also my masterʼs newest disciple. If you trouble them, youʼll face my aunt and master.”

Once again, Lin Moxianʼs words shocked Xi Hongyan, and she glared at Zhang Xiaolong [3] in disbelief. She had heard about Hun Di taking in a new disciple, but she did not expect that his new disciple would become a member of the Lin Clan. Moreover, he was also Hong Xinxinʼs future husband, which made the situation even more complicated.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately took out the Hun Diʼs badge and showed it to Xi Hongyan. ”Do you still not believe that I am Master Hunʼs disciple, Big Sis? He gave this badge to me before he went to the Blossom Heaven Realm.”

”You hold Senior Hun Diʼs badge; how could I dare not believe that you are his disciple?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] smiled casually and put away the badge. ”How did you manage to win Hong Xinxinʼs heart? Everyone in this realm knows that she is infatuated with Shang Guangmin, but she suddenly shifted her feelings towards you, so I was really surprised to hear that.”

”Naturally, I have my own way to win Xinxinʼs heart, but our relationship is still not official right now.” Xi Hongyanʼs expression changed slightly after hearing that, but it did not escape Zhang Xiaolongʼs [3] observation. ”Although our relationship is not officially established yet, Grandpa Hong and Grandpa Yan have already agreed to it, and we will get married after my cultivation breaks through to the Seven Divine Realms.”

Xi Hongyan gave a light nod before asking Li Moxian, ”So, why did you suddenly come back here? Are you willing to help me do something about Shang Xishun?”

”Lead us to her.” Lin Moxian answered briefly.

Xi Hongyan immediately led them to her clanʼs dungeon, where she locked Shang Xishun in one of the prisons. Upon arrival, she asked Lin Moxian. ”How are you going to help me control him?”

”What do you think about that?” Lin Moxian asked Zhang Xiaolong [3] instead, causing Xi Hongyan to frown.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] pretended to be thinking as he glanced at Xi Hongyan. ”I think I have an idea for that, but I need this big sisterʼs help, especially her soul.”
