Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 753: Arrival of Four People

Three hours after Zhang Fei initiated his lightning tribulations, a flying artifact entered the Netherworld Realm. It was protected by white light, preventing the demon aura from affecting its passengers.

The passengers on the flying artifact were four people from the Shang Clan: Shang Chongyun, Shang Chenguang, Shang Tinglong, and Ran Keqing.

As the four stood in front, Shang Chongyun posed a question. ”What should we do now? Youʼre the only one who has been to this realm before, Chengguang.”

”Over there.” Shang Chenguang pointed to the far north. ”The demon palace is over there, so we should go there now. However, the strong demons from this realm seem to have taken over the palace, so we have to do something about them first.”

”Since they arenʼt demon cultivators, it shouldnʼt be difficult for us to get rid of them, right?” Shang Tinglong said this as he looked toward the northernmost area.

Shang Chenguang nodded at him. ”Those demons are too weak to fight us, but some of them have special abilities, so we canʼt underestimate them. Back then, our patriarch controlled a demon from another realm to control them, and he used a lot of resources to strengthen him. Unfortunately, the demon disappeared after Princess Feng Yao foiled his plan, and he couldnʼt track his whereabouts.”

”Letʼs go there, and weʼll install the teleportation portal after we get rid of them.” Shang Chongyun and the others immediately frowned as soon as countless black crows appeared around their flying artifact, and they right away charged toward them. ”What the hell with these crows? Why do they attack us without caring about their lives?”

”These crows are not living beings, but a demon created them to bother us.” The three men turned to Ran Keqing. ”Just look at them; they donʼt bleed when they die, so Iʼm sure theyʼre not really real.”

The three men only realized it after Ran Keqing mentioned it, but a large ball of lava suddenly shot toward them from afar. However, it was too weak to take them down, and the shield on their flying artifact instantly destroyed it.

”Somehow I feel that the demons in this realm already know about our arrival.” Shang Chongyun spoke as he looked at the surrounding area, but he couldnʼt sense the presence of any demons near them. However, he suddenly noticed something in the distance and pointed towards it. ”Hey, guys! Isnʼt that a light element? How can there be a light element in this realm?”

Shang Chenguang and Shang Tinglong immediately directed their senses towards it, and they found dozens of women practicing in that area protected by a pure light element. ”Who are those human women? How did they come to this realm?”

”Their cultivation is in the ten mortal realms, but their fighting abilities and speeds are extremely astonishing, and those demons are not their opponents at all.” Shang Tinglong spoke in awe.

Ran Keqing asked them. ”How about we check them out first?”

”Letʼs go there, and weʼll check them out.” Shang Chongyun immediately flew their flying artifact towards that area.

Morgana and Oz the First suddenly appear at the previous location of the Shang Clan members. ”Are you sure we donʼt need to stop them, wife?”

”No need.” Morgana answered with a shake of her head. ”They are Zhang Feiʼs official and unofficial women, and he would not allow them to train in this realm without protection, so we donʼt need to worry about them. Moreover, they are not as weak as you imagine, and they have slaughtered thousands of demons and demon beasts since they started training here two weeks ago. Instead, we have to meet those demons in Demon Emperor City to prepare them, especially since we still donʼt know his true plans for those people from the Shang Clan.”

”Letʼs go there; we will prepare them to face those people while waiting for Zhang Fei to arrive.” Morgana and Oz the First immediately flew towards Demon Emperor City, and they contacted the demon kings and queens of the Netherworld Realm to gather there.

Meanwhile, Shang Chongyun and the others had already arrived at Zhang Yue and the othersʼ location, but they did not approach all the women and only watched them from the sky.

At first, only Zhang Yue and the other seven were training there, but Liu Hua and the others decided to join them, especially since they did not want to lag behind the others.

In reality, Liu Hua and the other women knew the four Shang Clan members were there, but they pretended not to notice and focused on killing demons and demon beasts.

”Husband, these women seem to be deliberately training to increase their killing intent.” Ran Keqing spoke to Shang Tinglong.

Shang Tinglong nodded in agreement with that. ”The demons and demon beasts that fought them were high-rank demons, but they were controlled by their cruel nature, and they attacked them with the intention of killing them.”

”I am really curious about their identities, especially since they are clearly cultivators from the lower or middle realms. However, their fighting abilities are too good, and their speed seems to be much better than ours.” Shang Chongyun then pointed at Zhang Yue. ”She is the most terrifying among her sisters, and her ice will instantly freeze everything around her before shattering them into pieces. Even though we are quite far from them, I can still feel the coldness of her ice element.”

Shang Chenguang then spoke. ”That little girlʼs ice element is definitely not an ordinary ice element, and as far as I remember, there is only one living creature with such a powerful ice element.”

”Who?”

”The ice phoenix.”

”Are you saying that little girl has something to do with the ice phoenix?” Shang Chongyun asked.

”That little girl is an ordinary human, but she probably has the ice phoenix bloodline, or else her ice element wouldnʼt be that cold and deadly.” An ice phoenix silhouette suddenly appeared behind Zhang Yue, and her body became ice, which proved their guess. In an instant, the entire area around her froze along with dozens of demons and demon beasts surrounding her. ”As expected! She really has the ice phoenix bloodline in her body!”

”What if we capture that little girl? If we can help her become stronger, she will be very useful for us against Shang Huaqiang.”

”Are you crazy, Tinglong?” Shang Chenguang asked with a frown. ”Since that little girl has the ice phoenix bloodline, Iʼm sure the phoenix race already knows about her, and they might have already sent someone to protect her from behind. Not even our patriarch dares to fight them, let alone us.”

”Letʼs forget about them, and we must go to the demon palace right now, or Shang Huaqiang will be furious if we donʼt carry out his orders.” Shang Chongyun immediately directed their flying artifact to the northernmost area.

.

.

.

”They are people from the Shang Clan, Big Sis.” Liu Hua said as she looked at the flying artifact.

Liu Qingyu nodded. ”Feiʼer seems to have not finished with his breakthrough yet, so we will wait for him to arrive. Since our cultivation has just broken through, we have plenty of time to increase our killing intent, so we will focus on fighting these demons and demon beasts.”

”However, I feel that the demons and demon beasts in this realm are no longer suitable for us, and training on the demon island in the Nine Stars Realm is our best choice.” Zhang Lingxue suddenly spoke.

”I agree with you.” Shen Xueyi then turned her gaze to their other sisters. ”The demons and demon beasts in this realm are no longer suitable for us, but they are still useful to Zhang Lin and the others. Moreover, only Elmyra can protect us from the demon aura, so we cannot train separately.”

”Can your light element protect us from the demon aura, Yue?” Shen Yue asked the female moon fox.

Hu Yue responded with a shake of her head. ”I can protect us from the demon aura, but my light element is not as potent as Elmyraʼs. If we train there, we will have to take frequent breaks because my light element will not last long, and the demon aura there will directly affect us.”

”Have any of you ever considered becoming a demon?” Hu Yue and the others turned to Ye Lian directly. ”We all always think demons are bad, but our husband is a demon. To tell you the truth, I sometimes think about becoming a demon like him, but Iʼm still afraid of thinking about myself becoming a demon. Even though our husband is a demon, other people canʼt smell his demon scent because of his two other identities. On the other hand, people will immediately notice our demon scent if we turn into demons, and we wonʼt be able to live as freely as him.”

”Why are you thinking about becoming a demon, Sister Lian?” Zhao Ziqin asked.

”Did you forget that our husband needs a lot of female essence to improve his demon form?” Zhao Ziqin and the others shook their heads at Ye Lian, as they would never forget about it. ”He told us that his demon rank is still not halfway to breaking through to the next rank, mainly because there are only a few female demons by his side. Zilvora, Orith, and Ilsath are strong, but they are not enough to help him. Meanwhile, Lillea, Janette, Fyr, Eve, Leora, Ashreth, the Amaris Twins, and Nadea are much weaker than the three of them, so their female essence is too little for him. Therefore, I thought about becoming a demon so I could help him with that. However, I still want to live freely, and I wonʼt be able to live freely if I become a demon, so I donʼt dare to make a decision about that yet.”

Liu Qingyu and the others had actually thought about it, but it had never crossed their minds to become demons. Although they had no problem with Zhang Feiʼs demon identity and living with other demons, they still thought becoming demons was the worst thing in their lives, and they didnʼt want that to happen to them.

”Forget it, letʼs not think about it too much and focus on our training, or we will never be ready to accompany our husband to fight our enemies.” After that, they continued their practice again, but Ye Lianʼs previous words kept ringing in their minds.

In another area, Zhang Lin was resting by the river, and she looked around before taking out a piece of meat from her storage ring, which was demon meat. ”Big Brother once said that humans can turn into demons if they consume demon beast meat, and Ba Shuxiang is one example. His demon rank is too slow to progress, so I want to help him to improve it, but I can only do that if I become a demon.”

”Are you sure you want to do it?” Zhang Lin was surprised to hear that and turned to Boitata directly. ”Among all of us, your feelings for our husband are the deepest, and you have always loved him unconditionally. However, Iʼm sure he doesnʼt want you to become a demon, so donʼt do this secretly and talk to him first.”

”You know that my big brother will never agree, right?” Zhang Lin replied with a soft sigh. ”Thatʼs why I donʼt want to discuss this matter with him, and I will turn myself into a demon to help him.”

Boitata immediately snatched the demon beast meat from Zhang Linʼs hand and crushed it directly. ”Regardless of whether he agrees or not, he is our husband, so you should discuss this matter with him first. If he agrees, he will help you find the best demon beast, and you can become one after that.”

”But—”

”Donʼt argue, okay?” Boitata interrupted Zhang Lin. ”You have known our husband since childhood, so you should be familiar with his character. If you turn yourself into a demon without his consent, he might be disappointed with you, so you should discuss this matter with him first.”

Zhang Lin helplessly nodded. ”All right, I will discuss this matter with my big brother first, and I hope he will agree with my idea so I can help him more.”

”Thatʼs good.” Boitata immediately lifted Zhang Lin to his feet. ”Letʼs go! We canʼt waste time, so we should continue our training now. Your big sister is already far ahead of us, and she is too enthusiastic about killing demons or demon beasts, so we canʼt lag behind her.”

The two women immediately walked to another area, but Zhang Lin spoke. ”Speaking of my big sister, I feel like something is making her change.”

”Youʼre right.” Boitata responded with a note. ”All mythical beasts are arrogant by nature, and her bloodline continues to influence her, making her character closer to the ice phoenix. Moreover, she has already witnessed the full power of our husbandʼs killing intent, and it has unknowingly influenced her, so she does not want to lose to him. If she continues to train like this, she might become as terrifying as him, and she will be the strongest among us.”

”If you evolve into a mythical beast, you will be able to match her, right?”

”Iʼm not sure about that.” Boitata answered with a shake of her head. ”Zhang Yue has not yet achieved her true strength, and she still has to go to the Frozen Lotus Basin in the phoenix realm to undergo the tests of the Ice Phoenix. I donʼt know anything about those tests, but Iʼm sure theyʼre not simple tests. Moreover, sheʼs getting stronger now, and theyʼll probably make her even stronger. If she successfully passes those tests, she will reach her peak strength, so we can only wait for the time to find out the results.”

Although she had obtained the water dragon bloodline from Long Huang, Zhang Lin felt that her strength was still lacking compared to Zhang Yue, and Boitataʼs words made her even more determined to become a demon. ʼIʼll talk to my big brother after this, and Iʼm sure Iʼll be stronger than big sis if I become a demon with a water dragon bloodline.ʼ

In the ghostveil forest, Arbeola informed Azaroth and the other demons about the arrival of the people from the Shang Clan, causing the true demon emperor of the Netherworld to frown. ”The fake demon lord and his wife have already gone there, and they have coordinated the demon kings and queens to deal with those humans, but Iʼm not sure they can defeat those four people.”

”If my demon power wasnʼt sealed, I would definitely go there to help them get rid of the human invaders.” Azaroth let out a heavy sigh as he spoke.

”Haha.” Oz the Second laughed in response. ”You donʼt need to worry about them because my predecessor is not weak, and his wife is much stronger than him, so Iʼm sure they both can fight those humans.”

”Even if the two of them canʼt fight them, we still have Zhang Fei.” Zygoz also speaks to Azaroth. ”That kid even dared to infiltrate their clan alone, and he must have prepared some plans to deal with them, so we can leave their affairs to him.”

”They have landed in front of the demon palace.”

.

As Arbeola said, Shang Chongyun and the others had arrived in front of the demon palace in Demon Emperor City. However, they were confused because the demons who were previously in the palace suddenly vanished.

Shang Chongyun then led them to the throne room, and they found Oz the First sitting on the throne in the form of Azaroth.

Shang Chenguang immediately recognized him and informed the others. ”He is the demon controlled by our patriarch before. I am not sure how he managed to return to this realm, but I will not mistake him.”

”You are right; your patriarch controlled my husband back then, but he is a free demon now that Princess Feng Yao has freed him.” Shang Chenguang and the others looked at Morgana, who suddenly appeared beside Oz the First. ”The Phoenix Princess knew that Shang Huaqiang would send the other subordinates to this realm again, so she brought us back here to protect it.”
