Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 763: Lin Moxian

Zhang Fei [5] had landed in one of the areas of the Nine Hells Darkland, but he immediately summoned the demon extermination sword and attacked two wandering souls that were heading towards him.

*Slash*

The souls were directly absorbed by the demon extermination sword, but Zhang Fei [5] saw that there were many other souls in the distance. He immediately released the sword, and it enthusiastically attacked those souls and absorbed them as well. ”I didnʼt expect to get so many quests in this realm, and thereʼs no way I can complete them all by myself.”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately opened the portal to the training space before his two clones walked out of it, leading their ten demon partners. Balena also followed behind them, especially since she didnʼt dual cultivate with her original body.

Feltia [2] and Zhang Fei [4] immediately sat cross-legged to absorb the demon aura and Qi in that realm. The ten female demons chose to look around the area of the realm. They could only shake their heads once they saw the demon extermination sword flying around and attacking those souls, and it was so greedy in absorbing them.

”The demon aura in this realm is really thick and strong compared to that in the Netherworld Realm or the Nine Stars Realm.” Zilvora began to absorb the demon aura. ”If I stay here long enough to absorb it, I might be able to become a demon empress soon.”

”I want to stay here too.” Orith said with a nod. ”My demon rank has yet to rise to the archduchess rank, so I want to reach it as soon as possible.”

Ilsath then asked Zhang Fei [5]. ”Can we stay here for the time being? I want to absorb this demon aura and reach archduchess rank.”

”I have many things to do in this realm, so we will stay here for the time being.” The female demons were excited when they heard that, and they immediately sat cross-legged to absorb the Qi and demon aura simultaneously. Zhang Fei [5] then spoke to Balena. ”I will break through to the 7-Star Earth Realm in the next few days, and I will pursue the Heaven Realm after that. If I manage to reach that stage in the next three months, I will directly bring you back to the Blue Water Realm.”

Balena was naturally happy with that because she had been trapped in the Netherworld Realm for too long, and she missed her family so much, but she was also worried about him. ”I am pleased with your consideration of me, but you should not force yourself too much. If a mishap occurs in your cultivation, there will be so many people who will be sad, so you must cultivate carefully to avoid any untoward incidents.”

”Donʼt worry, okay?” Zhang Fei [5] pulled Balena closer and gently caressed her cheek. ”I have considered everything carefully, and I will try to reach that stage in three months. Moreover, Linʼer canʼt wait to become a demon, and the most suitable demon for her is hiding in your realm, so I want to go there as soon as possible.”

”Honestly, I was still shocked when you told me about the Abyssal Leviathan Demon Beast, especially since no one in my realm knows about that demonʼs existence.” Balena then asked. ”Are you sure that the demon is really hiding in the Sunken Kingdom? You may have trouble finding the demon if itʼs hiding in that place, especially since no one has been able to enter since its destruction.”

”Morgana did say that the demon beast was hiding there, but I can only confirm it after we go to your realm. Even if others canʼt find the way in to that place, it doesnʼt mean I canʼt. As you already know, I have many things that others donʼt have, so Iʼm sure I can find the way in.” Zhang Fei [5] then pulled the demon extermination sword back into his hand before continuing. ”You can join them to absorb the Qi and demon aura here.”

After Balena started doing it, Mei immediately asked Zhang Fei [5]. [Why donʼt you bring Ru Xue and the other female demons to this realm, Master? Rather than them training in the Netherworld Realm, this realm is much better for them, especially since they can absorb both of them at the same time.]

ʼWell, youʼre right.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] opened the portal again once, and Ru Xue, Angela, Yan Zhixiu, Lillea, Janette, and Qian Ying immediately walked out of it. ”The six of you can cultivate and absorb demon aura in this realm with the others, and I will protect you all.”

Ru Xue and the others agreed with that, and they immediately sat down on the ground with Zilvora and the others to begin cultivating and absorbing the demon aura.

Zhang Fei [5] wanted to bring Zhang Lin and the others to that realm, but unfortunately, they would not be able to fight those wandering souls since only a few of them had the light elements, and he was afraid that those souls would possess them, which would only bring trouble for him.

Zhang Fei [5] then tried to spread his senses to several other areas, and he found countless wandering souls filling those areas. Some of them even looked vicious and powerful, and he also found many corpses scattered all over the area, just as Morgana had told him back then. ʼThis realm is truly terrifying! These wandering souls probably belonged to the residents of this realm and the invaders who died in the past, especially since their numbers are simply too numerous. Iʼm sure human cultivators wouldnʼt dare to come here! Even if they did, they would flee immediately after seeing them. However, Iʼm curious about the last two quests, especially the wandering soul demon. Do you think that demon trapped all these souls in this realm, Mei?ʼ

[I think so, Master. The two quests must be related to each other, and you can complete both after you successfully find and eliminate the wandering soul demon, but I canʼt find its location yet because the system hasnʼt finished mapping this realm, so we can only wait for now.]

ʼYeah.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] then sat cross-legged on the ground and allowed the demon extermination sword to attack the wandering souls that were starting to approach their location. ʼJian Heiʼan and Jian Guangʼan seemed to really like this realm, especially since the sword could absorb these wandering souls to strengthen it.ʼ

[Donʼt you want to absorb these wandering souls, Master? If you absorb them, your soul power might be able to break through to the half-perfection stage of the earthly soul level.]

ʼNaturally, I want to absorb them, especially since it has been three months since my soul power broke through to this stage. However, Jian Heiʼanʼs and Jian Guangʼanʼs souls are still weak now, so let them absorb these wandering souls first, and the extermination sword will become stronger as their souls strengthen. Once they are satisfied, I will start absorbing them.ʼ Since he couldnʼt do anything before the map finished mapping that realm, Zhang Fei [5] started absorbing the Qi and demon power there, and Mei helped him to monitor the situation around them.

In the Shang Clan, Shang Yuan kept frowning as he watched two female physicians examine Shang Huaqiang and Fei Qinyuanʼs condition. Their ancestors were forced to put the two to sleep, especially since they continued to suffer from organ failure. ”How did it go?”

”Madam Ziyuan, the source of their illness is the failure of their internal organs, and I have given them several pills to strengthen them. Unfortunately, none of them worked, and the condition of their internal organs continued to deteriorate.” One of the female physicians spoke with fear.

”I found traces of poison in Madam Qinyuanʼs body, Madam Ziyuan.” Shang Ziyuan turned to the other physician. ”I suspect the poison is the cause of her internal organ failure, but I have never seen such a poison before. I will try to extract it from her body to study it, and I will try to find an antidote afterwards.”

”All right, you can do it, and you should succeed in healing them.” Shang Ziyuan then turned to the two old men who had just arrived. ”Did you manage to find the intruder, Ancestors?”

Shang Yanhan shook his head in response. ”I could sense the intruderʼs presence, but he or she disappeared before I could move to capture him or her.”

”If my guess is correct, that person should be one of Xi Hongyanʼs subordinates.” Shang Ziyuan was not too surprised by Shang Yanjunʼs answer, especially since the Xi clan hated their clan so much. ”There are some descendants of that clan who have shadow abilities, and no one can detect their presence as long as they hide in the shadows. What we can do now is continue to monitor our clan, and we have to move as soon as that person shows movement.”

”I will order our clan members to monitor the entire area of the residence so they can move as soon as that person appears.” Shang Ziyuan then walked out. ”Ancestors, I will go to the Huo clan and ask for Huo Jiguangʼs help to cure my brother and sister-in-law, so I entrust our clan to you two.”

A young man leisurely walked into the Xi clan, but none of the people from the clan dared to look at him. Although he looked relaxed, his aura gave off a certain pressure on them, which frightened them.

Xi Xiuling suddenly appeared before the man and greeted him. ”Young master Lin Moxian, my mistress has been waiting for you, and she ordered me to escort you to her now.”

”Lead the way.” As he followed Xi Xiuling, Lin Moxian had many questions in his mind, especially about Xi Hongyanʼs purpose in asking him to come.

A while later, they arrived before a dungeon, causing Lin Moxian to frown. He remained silent as he followed Xi Xiuling into the dungeon, where he saw Xi Hongyan standing in front of one of the prison rooms.

Lin Moxian immediately recognized the identity of the woman in the room, but her condition seemed bad because Xi Hongyan had repeatedly tortured her. ”Oh? Isnʼt she Shang Xishun? Did you call me here because of her, Hongyan?”

”Leave us, Xiuling.” After Xi Xiuling left, Xi Hongyan immediately told Lin Moxian about her plans for Shang Xishun. ”Can you help me with that?”

”Thatʼs easy for me.” Lin Moxian then turned to Xi Hongyan, looking her body up and down. ”There is no free lunch in this world, and I will only help you if you can give me something in return.”

ʼTch! This bastard! If I wasnʼt afraid of Hun Di and Lin Jingxia, I would definitely gouge out his eyes straight away.ʼ Xi Hongyan then answered him. ”Iʼm sorry, but I canʼt fulfill your request. If you want it, I will prepare some women for you, and you can have fun with them as you like.”

Lin Moxian gave a faint smirk and lifted Xi Hongyanʼs chin, causing her face to darken. ”I donʼt want other women, and I only want you. Moreover, you should be aware that I can force you, but I am not a rapist. Therefore, consider my conditions first, and I will help you with Shang Xishun after you agree.”

If another man treated her in such a way, Xi Hongyan would undoubtedly kill him on the spot. Unfortunately, Lin Moxian was different from them, mainly because of his status as Hun Diʼs first disciple, and he was also the nephew of the alchemist goddess, Lin Jingxia. ”All right, I will think about it first. Do you want to stay in my clan for a while?”

”No.” Xi Hongyan raised her eyebrows once Lin Moxian rejected her. ”I heard that my master has appointed a new disciple, and it was Qiao Liangren who recommended him to our master, so I want to go to the Qiao Clan to meet him.”

The information shocked Xi Hongyan, especially since all the cultivators in the upper realms never knew that Hun Di had taken a new disciple. According to the information circulating in the public, his last disciple was Shang Yinyue, and he had never taken another disciple after that. ”Can you tell me the manʼs name?”

”Unfortunately, my master has not told me anything about my junior brother, so I canʼt tell you anything.” Lin Moxian replied with a sigh. ”Thatʼs why I want to go to the Qiao Clan to find out his identity from Qiao Liangren.”

Xi Hongyan nodded slightly before saying again. ”I think it would only be a waste of time for you to go to the Qiao Clan, especially since Qiao Liangren is not in his clan now.”

”Oh? Do you know where he is now?”

”I donʼt have any information about that.” Xi Hongyan shook her head in response. ”However, Qiao Liangren usually lives in the Wasteland Realm, but he is not there now. I heard from one of my subordinates that Hun Di went to that realm about four months ago, and he took him, Shang Yingyue, and the younger generations of several other clans away.”

Lin Moxian fell into thought after hearing that. ʼWhere did they actually go? Why didnʼt my master tell me and the others? Why did he only take Qiao Liangren and Shang Yingyue with him?ʼ

”If you want to know their destination, you can go see Hong Xinxin or Murong Qianying.” Lin Moxian raised his eyebrows at Xi Hongyan. ”Back then, the two of them brought four people from their clans, and the four of them left with Hun Di. I believe they should know their destination, and they probably also know the identity of his new disciple.”

”I see.” Lin Moxian nodded in understanding. ”In that case, I will go to the Murong Clan to see Murong Qianying now.”

”By the way, the Murong Clan no longer lives in their old residence, and Murong Qianying brought them to move not far from the Hong clan.” Lin Moxian simply nodded and disappeared from Xi Hongyanʼs sight, causing her to curse in annoyance. ”That bastard! I have rejected him many times, but he still continues to covet my body! Both of his statuses are indeed extraordinary, but he is still not worthy of me!”

.

.

.

Two hours later, Lin Moxian had arrived in the southern region, and he rushed to the Murong clanʼs new residence, but the clanʼs people told him that Murong Qianying was at the Hong clan, so he rushed to the clan.

Lin Moxianʼs sudden arrival surprised the members of the Hong Clan, and Hong Quan immediately asked him. ”What brings you here suddenly, little Moxian?”

”Grandpa Hong, I came here looking for your granddaughter and Murong Qianying.” Unlike his attitude toward Xi Hongyan, Lin Moxian was respectful toward Hong Quan. ”I heard they met my master about four months ago, and he took some people with him to another realm, so I wanted to ask them about him and his destination.”

”Didnʼt Old Hun tell you about it?” Lin Moxian shook his head at Hong Quan. ”Your master took them to the Blossom Heaven Realm, one of the planets in the middle realms.”

”Eh?” Lin Moxian was surprised by that. ”Why did my master take them to that realm, Grandpa?”

Hong Quan then told Lin Moxian about the Sun Tower and the challenges within it. ”I heard about the tower from Xinxin and Qianying, so Iʼm not sure about those challenges, and your master probably didnʼt tell you because you were in seclusion before. In fact, I wanted to join them, but the situation in this realm is getting tense now, so I canʼt go anywhere for the time being.”

”I came out of seclusion two weeks ago, and I went straight to this realm.” Lin Moxian then asked. ”Grandpa, do you know anything about the identity of my masterʼs new disciple?”

”Actually, your junior brother is in this clan right now, and he is Xinxinʼs future husband.” Hong Quanʼs answer stunned Lin Moxian. ”His name is Zhang Xiaolong [3], and he is in the backmost building with Xinxin and Qianying, so you can go there if you want to meet them.”

”Please excuse me, Grandpa. Iʼll go see them now.”
