Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1700 - 1701: Getting On the Bus First

When it came to the matter of Chiang Qing, everyone couldn’t help but feel a bit unhappy, and the atmosphere became a bit gloomy. Clearly, it was supposed to be a joyful gathering, and getting upset over such personnel matters seemed pointless, so everyone consciously avoided mentioning it.

”If the shop opens, you have to come by often, don’t you?” Ning Ge asked Cheng Su.

Cheng Su said, ”Now that Qi Taiguo has been transferred to Zhu City, even if the shop doesn’t open, I plan to bring Xiao Qi here to Guangcheng during summer and winter vacations for the next year or two. If possible, I’ll visit him.”

Ning Ge said, ”Over there is a small island, even if you go, you have to take a ferry or a speedboat. Xiao Qi is still little, you should be cautious!”

”By July, he’ll be one year old, it’s time for him to see the world!” Cheng Su lifted her chin and said proudly, ”Being our son, how could he fear the waves?”

Ning Ge chuckled lightly, then restrained his expression, saying, ”Since Qi Taiguo has been transferred to Zhu City, you all will develop in Guangcheng eventually. As for the business over in Qing City, neither retract nor expand it, right?” He was considering her energy; since they had decided to develop in Guangcheng in the future, shouldn’t the business in Qing City be moved here as well?

Cheng Su replied, ”Things like a restaurant can’t be moved; what’s meant to develop will develop. I’m thinking, maybe we can move the jam factory area to the South? Nowadays, more and more people are coming south to work; industrial development will only thrive more.”

With the nineties approaching, the number of young people moving south for work will only increase, so for running a factory, as long as you can secure orders, there’s no worry about not having workers or making business.

Moreover, Cheng Su was well aware of how many factories made a fortune during this time.

Ning Ge said, ”If we’re going to start a factory, it must be done quickly. We have all the resources now, and while land prices are still low, we should acquire it.”

Cheng Su felt the same way.

As times develop and life gets better, land becomes more expensive. If it is not purchased now, buying it later will be a loss.

With this in mind, she simply called Cheng Yaozu, who was hanging around Ying Xiaoya, over, so the three shareholders could discuss the development of the factory.

”This is the time for struggle, but you’re wrapped up in romance; can’t you have some sense of ambition?” Ning Ge looked with disdain at Cheng Yaozu but, despite his words, inwardly admired their good relationship, unlike his own...

He felt a bit envious.

Cheng Yaozu boasted, ”You old bachelor, how could you understand our feelings? When you find someone, you’ll know the feeling. Truly, a day without seeing her feels like ages.”

Ning Ge sneered softly.

Cheng Su interjected, ”He’s right, you bachelor should get married. Don’t let my son start talking, and his godmother is still nowhere to be seen. What about Miss Song? Not happening?” ”Who knows where she’s hiding, it’s been so long, and there’s no news,” Ning Ge said.

Cheng Yaozu exclaimed, ”Listen to that bitterness; did she dump you, or did you do something wrong?”

Ning Ge thought about that moment with Song Jiaying and felt a bit uncomfortable.

”Did you really?” Cheng Yaozu raised an eyebrow, ”Tell us, what happened? Bro, let’s give you some advice.”

Cheng Su also looked over.

Ning Ge stammered, scratching his head and tugging at his collar, before finally saying, ”It’s nothing much, we had a few drinks and ended up sleeping together. After that day, she just never showed up again.”

Cheng Su’s mouth dropped open.

Cheng Yaozu blurted out, ”Whoa, you got on board first, huh?”
