Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1475: Chapter 1476: Personnel Assignments

In the afternoon around three or four o’clock, Father Qi and Qi Fengping still appeared at the hospital. As Father Qi said, such a major incident happened, how could he be at ease without coming to confirm it himself?

Mother Qi finished her check-up and came out, saw Father Qi and them, tears flowed again.

”As long as she’s alive, alive is good, the leg can be nurtured, even if not well, it’s fine, as long as she’s alive!” When Father Qi saw his old wife with her face pale and full of panic, he couldn’t help but feel moved, gently shaking her hand.

The family cried for a while, then Mother Qi took her medication and finally fell asleep again.

Cheng Su took the opportunity to hold a family meeting regarding Mother Qi’s situation and her own condition, discussing how to distribute these matters.

Upon hearing that Cheng Su’s mother should take care of her, Father Qi said: ”We can’t just trouble in-laws, if your mother-in-law only has trouble with her legs, I can take care of her too, let Little Ping help you during your confinement.”

”Dad, there are also household chores and the fields that need tending, elder sister needs to go to work, Fengping can help with the household, and there’s Xiao Yun. On my side, my mother is enough, and I can also ask Liu Wenjing for help.” Cheng Su said, ”I’m just one postpartum woman, how many people do I really need, this is enough.”

”But Weixia and they still have two kids, can Wenjing handle it?” Qi Fenglian asked.

”Cooking should be manageable, and there’s my mom too!” Cheng Su replied with a smile.

Father Qi sighed: ”It’s fate, this incident had to happen right now! Over in Taiguo, I don’t know if it’s going smoothly.” After pausing, he added: ”About your mother’s situation, if Taiguo calls back, let’s not mention it for now. Anyway, since she’s fine now, there’s no need. We can tell him after he gets back.”

Cheng Su nodded, showing she understood.

The family discussed some more detailed matters, Qi Fengping, having just finished her last exam in the morning, stayed to take care of Mother Qi along with Qi Fenglian. Father Qi went home, and Xiao Bao was entrusted to the in-laws.

Cheng Su was also ordered to go home and rest. In a few days, they’ll see how Mother Qi recovers before making further plans.

As for the check-up report, once it’s out, they would inform Cheng Su.

”Young Master Ning, please take care of my wife,” Father Qi said to Ning Ge: ”She’s heavily pregnant, with travel being good timing, please look after her.”

Ning Ge replied: ”We’re good friends, it’s only right to help, don’t worry, Uncle.”

”About the accident compensation...” Cheng Su brought up the car accident again.

Someone died in the accident, compensation is necessary, otherwise the family will surely be unable to cope. It depends on how the car company and the driver handle it.

Father Qi said: ”Don’t worry about this, I’ll manage it, compensations should be handled properly, the most important thing is everyone is okay!”

Cheng Su pursed her lips, knowing that the compensation might also be difficult to manage. Nowadays, who really has money, especially that bus driver, he probably won’t be able to compensate a life even if he loses everything.

Fortunately, Mother Qi was blessed and survived, even though her leg was crippled. It’s said that another severely injured person hasn’t regained consciousness yet.

”Get away, go away, don’t come to me!”

As they were talking, Mother Qi lying on the hospital bed suddenly waved her hands as if she was driving something away.

”Dad, how about I go to a temple tomorrow and get a peace charm for mom? She seems restless, and she will have to stay for a few days.” Qi Fenglian said, looking somewhat anxious.

Thinking about what she said, and Mother Qi’s words, Cheng Su couldn’t help but feel very uneasy and creeped out.
