Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1483: Chapter 1484: Disliking the Baby

Since she had agreed to do the newspaper interview, naturally someone came to discuss the topics. The interview content and draft had to be prepared in advance. Cheng Su delegated the arrangements to Xiao Pinshan. She just needed to see the draft and know what questions would be asked and how she should respond when the time came.

The interview details quickly reached Cheng Su, and she prepared her responses, reading and memorizing them.

Qi Taiguo teased her, ”Are you sure this will work? It’s going in the newspaper; don’t forget your lines at the crucial moment.”

”It’s exactly because it’s for the newspaper. Even if I forget, I can still refer to the draft while answering. If it were for television, having to constantly check the script would indeed be quite embarrassing!” Cheng Su replied with a laugh.

Of course, some people do prepare scripts for TV appearances, but since they’ll be filmed, it’s much better to memorize it than to keep checking the script.

”Make sure you rest and don’t overwork yourself,” Qi Taiguo said as he gently touched her large belly, ”otherwise the baby might come early.”

Cheng Su lowered her head to look at her belly and said, ”My mom said that the baby’s position has dropped quite a bit, so it might be possible for an early delivery. You should be prepared.”

Her due date is mid-July, but the baby might arrive early or late. Now that the baby’s position has dropped, also known as the baby engaging, it seems even if it’s not on the due date, it may be a bit early.

”It’s even more important to be careful then. After the interview, avoid going out too much, just walk around the courtyard a few times,” Qi Taiguo suggested.

Cheng Su nodded, ”That’s what I was thinking too. Fortunately, every industry has enough staff now, so even if I have the baby, I won’t have to worry about whether things are being managed.”

”Yes, this baby couldn’t have come at a better time, just perfect!” Qi Taiguo said with a smile.

Cheng Su wrinkled her nose, ”What are you talking about? This baby deliberately makes things difficult for me, not too early, not too late, just right now. Look at this weather, just sitting here I’m already sweating all over, and I’m worried about how I’ll cope during confinement!”

She’s quite helpless about doing confinement during the hottest time of the year. Even thinking about it gives her a headache, let alone the fact that during confinement, she can’t wash her hair or bathe...

Cheng Su shivered.

”Oh, look, your mom’s already disapproving,” Qi Taiguo teased the baby in her belly, ”You’ll have to be extra filial to your mom in the future so she doesn’t bring this up with you all the time.”

”Enough, stop pretending. I know you can’t bear me talking bad about your baby!” Cheng Su rolled her eyes at him and asked, ”Did you call home today? How’s your mom’s foot?”

”She said it’s stronger than before, but she still can’t walk and needs to recuperate,” Qi Taiguo nodded, ”I’m thinking she definitely won’t be able to help with your confinement; we’ll have to rely on your mom.”

Cheng Su had thought about it too, so she said, ”It takes a hundred days to heal tendons and bones. Even if she can walk, she should be careful. You should advise her not to rush things. My mom will take good care, and her grandson won’t run away. When the time is right, we’ll bring the baby to visit her just the same!”

”Alright,” Qi Taiguo kissed her, ”Thank you, my wife.”

Cheng Su felt sweetness swell in her heart and snorted softly, ”Sweet talker!”

Qi Taiguo tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear, looked at her face, which had grown rounder during pregnancy, and felt completely satisfied.
