Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1463: Chapter 1464: Restless Stormy Weather

Qi Taiguo came back from the army, and after listening to Deng Weixia, he agreed with Cheng Su’s suggestion, but didn’t say much, only saying: ”Since everything is arranged, you should work hard; the whole family is relying on you.”

Deng Weixia nodded and said, ”I definitely will.”

Seeing that he was back and to avoid disturbing them, after dinner, Deng Weixia and the others took the children back to their dormitory, and Liu Wenjing had many quiet words to ask him.

After washing and grooming themselves, Qi Taiguo and his wife sat on the sofa, chatting while watching TV. They first talked about the children, about when Mother Qi would come over, and then they mentioned Deng Weixia and the others.

”Generally, after Weiqiu moves in after getting married, space will be more open. Having so many people living together in one place, space will be limited, leading to more conflicts, and there won’t even be a day of peace!” Cheng Su said.

Qi Taiguo held her close and said, ”We can’t manage so much, how they should live is up to them to worry about, right? He knows his responsibilities; work well and he can change to a bigger house in the future! You’re carrying a baby, don’t overthink it.”

Cheng Su spat at him, ”I’m not managing anything, just chatting with you.”

Qi Taiguo chuckled.

”Tomorrow, I’ll let Weixia go to the restaurant himself, I’ll just notify Old Song by phone, what do you think?” Cheng Su asked.

Qi Taiguo especially liked when she consulted with him like this, and since she didn’t have to go herself, he naturally agreed, immediately saying, ”That sounds great, you staying at home every day would be even better.”

Cheng Su rolled her eyes at him and said playfully, ”Staying at home every day, what will I do when it’s time to give birth? If I am too relaxed and lazy now, it will be a big trouble during birth, and I’ll suffer greatly. I need to walk more now for an easier delivery later.”

”But it keeps raining...” Qi Taiguo expressed his concern.

Cheng Su sighed, ”Isn’t that right? Why is there so much rain this year? I’m about to get moldy.” She paused and asked: ”Could it rain so much that it causes flooding or something? That would be a disaster!”

Just as she finished speaking, a bright flash of light appeared outside, followed by a crack of thunder, and Cheng Su instinctively covered her ears.

Rumble.

The thunder seemed to crash right above them, shaking their hearts.

”Don’t be afraid!” Qi Taiguo gently patted Cheng Su’s shoulder while looking out the window.

Droplets, one or two, began to fall, quickly turning into a deluge, becoming a heavy downpour in just a minute.

The weather was already hot and stuffy, so the window was open, and Qi Taiguo quickly released Cheng Su to close the window.

Cheng Su stood up and said, ”This rain is too heavy.”

”Yes, the weather is really abnormal this year.” Qi Taiguo said while closing the windows, advising: ”Stand further away, the wind is blowing the rain in, it wouldn’t be good if it splashed on you.”

Hearing this, Cheng Su stood back until he closed the two windows, then sat back down, but her face was full of worry.

”What’s wrong?” Qi Taiguo handed her a cup of hot water and asked.

”The rain is heavy and frequent, I’m worried it could cause flooding,” Cheng Su said.

Qi Taiguo glanced outside, pursed his lips, and frowned, saying, ”Stop thinking about it, get some rest!”

Cheng Su nodded, but lying in bed, she listened to the rain and occasional thunder for most of the night. As she drifted off to sleep, she suddenly felt a bit uneasy.
