Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1469: Chapter 1470: Mother-in-Law’s Broken Leg

Cheng Su didn’t sleep well the whole night, but she woke up early because the baby in her belly was hungry. She touched her belly for a moment and then got up to look out the window.

The sky had cleared up.

When she stepped outside the room, Liu Wenjing was on the phone. Seeing her, she waved and said, ”It’s from our big cousin!”

Cheng Su quickly took the phone: ”Big sister? How’s the situation?”

Qi Fenglian’s voice sounded a bit tired as she briefly explained the situation on their side.

The car Mother Qi was in had overturned, two people died, three were seriously injured, some were lightly injured, and Mother Qi, at least she didn’t lose her life, but one of her legs was crushed and deformed.

”...She’s still unconscious. The doctor said she’s old and her bones have become brittle. One of the bones shattered, even if it heals, she might be crippled.” Qi Fenglian’s voice was a bit choked up.

Cheng Su’s expression slightly changed, but she breathed a sigh of relief and said: ”There are no other life-threatening issues, right? Like internal injuries, what else did the doctor say? When will she wake up?”

”She had surgery. She’ll probably wake up after the anesthesia wears off. Otherwise, there’s no major problem, just some internal injuries and a few scrapes.”

Cheng Su thought for a moment and then said, ”Just wait for her to wake up first and see the situation.”

”That’s what I think too, but I haven’t told Dad yet...” Qi Fenglian hesitated for a moment and said, ”What do you think, how should we tell him?”

”You can’t hide this. Just tell him the truth. Besides, he’s probably already worried. Let me tell him!” Cheng Su said, ”You should stay with Mother-in-law, don’t leave her alone when she wakes up.”

After hanging up, Liu Wenjing asked how it was. Cheng Su repeated what Qi Fenglian had said.

Upon hearing it, Liu Wenjing clasped her hands together and said, ”Amitabha, truly blessed by the Bodhisattva!”

Her ex-husband died in a car accident, so she was most afraid of hearing such things. Her heart was blocked, and she was terrified.

Now that she is alive, everything is fine. As for the leg, if there’s money for treatment, it can probably get better.

Cheng Su then called Father Qi.

Father Qi seemed to have been waiting by the phone the whole time; he picked up almost immediately and gasped when he heard about Mother Qi’s condition.

”Is... is she alive?”

Cheng Su could hear his voice trembling over the phone, so she said, ”Yes, she’s alive, it’s just her leg might not be too good. Dad, I’ve asked the big sister to stay with her. I’ll head over later to check things out. If the hospital there isn’t good, we’ll transfer her to a better one.”

”No, no, you shouldn’t go. With your condition, it’s not safe. It’s enough for your big sister to be there, I’ll go check on her myself.” Father Qi quickly stopped her.

”It’s okay. I haven’t given birth yet, I’ll be careful. You still have to take care of Xiao Bao. Taiguo is currently on a mission, if all goes well, he might be back in a few days. Dad, don’t worry, as long as she’s okay, we can treat the leg.” Cheng Su added.

Father Qi agreed a few times.

Cheng Su comforted him a little more before hanging up the phone.

Just listening to Qi Fenglian talk, without seeing the situation personally, it’s hard to manage. Now, she’s not afraid of anything else, just worried about internal bleeding for Mother Qi, given it’s a car accident. So she still needs to go see for herself and check if Mother Qi feels any discomfort after waking up, making sure the hospital conducts a thorough examination, only then can they decide how to treat her.

But with her current condition, she can’t go by herself, and Liu Wenjing, caring for a child, can’t accompany her either.

Ah, she forgot about Ning Ge. Since she couldn’t stay at the factory often because of her condition, he’s currently in Qing City too.
