CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2042: Chapter 2050: Fussing Like an Old Woman

When she opened her eyes again, she was already lying in her room, the room she shared with James Black at the Black Family’s house.

Her clothes had already been changed, and the medicine on the wound on her arm had also been changed.

Turning her head, she could smell the not-too-unpleasant scent of Chinese herbal medicine coming from her arm; the medicine was a light green color.

Just as Jane Sampson was about to sit up, the room door opened from the outside, followed by Peter Gingery poking his head through the door crack. After making eye contact with Jane Sampson, Peter Gingery smiled and walked in.

”Awake? You really slept like a pig. Last night when the airplane landed at the airport, I was the one who carried you off the plane. At the doorway at home, I carried you from the car to the room, and you didn’t wake up.” Peter Gingery moved a chair to sit beside Jane Sampson’s bed, ”Later, Aunt changed your clothes, and the doctor changed your medicine, and you still slept soundly.”

Peter Gingery sighed after saying this, ”I specifically went to the airport to pick you up, and on the way, I was thinking that when you saw me, you’d definitely burst into tears crying in my arms, shouting, ’Peter Gingery, I’ve missed you so much~’. But in the end, I never thought I was just picking up a pig.”

”Who missed you? These days, I thought of everyone but you.” Jane Sampson rolled her eyes at Peter Gingery, ”You’re really a conversation ender, I don’t really want to talk to you.”

Peter Gingery sat there intently staring at Jane Sampson for a few seconds before shrugging his shoulders and then opening his arms toward Jane Sampson.

”Princess Egg-Yolk, welcome home!”

That one sentence almost brought tears to Jane Sampson’s eyes.

As Peter Gingery wished, she lunged into his arms and hugged him.

Peter Gingery patted Jane Sampson on the back of her head, in his heart, Jane Sampson was like a younger sister, though not related by blood, they were siblings who grew up together, playing and bickering.

This time, when Jane Sampson got into trouble, Peter Gingery was restless for a long time. Later, when the news of Jane Sampson’s assassination and death spread online, Peter Gingery almost fainted.

”By the way, Julie Sampson and Mother Sampson have returned to Capital Province, apparently because they heard about your incident, and Bright Sampton was too shocked, so they came back specifically to take care of him,” Peter Gingery said, ”And also to send you off on your last journey.”

”Hmm.” Jane Sampson thought that Julie Sampson still had some conscience toward Bright Sampton, after all, Bright Sampton is Julie Sampson’s younger brother.

”Your fans are also waiting for Bright Sampton to take your ashes back to Capital Province. They want to hold a grand farewell ceremony for you, but grandfather and Bright Sampton made a phone call, asking him to quietly return to Capital Province. Grandfather’s intention seems to be to bring him back first, then have him come to see you.”

Peter Gingery explained, ”Originally, they intended to keep it from him, but grandfather was really worried seeing his condition, so they wanted to bring Bright Sampton to see you and ease his mind.”

Otherwise, with Bright Sampton’s despair and pain as if the sky were falling, Old Master Black was truly concerned that after everything was over, Jane Sampson would be fine, but Bright Sampton would collapse instead.

”I also want to see him.” Jane Sampson nodded repeatedly; she truly cared about Bright Sampton.

”There’s one more thing I wanted to discuss with you.” After Peter Gingery finished speaking, he hesitated, looking at Jane Sampson, ”But I don’t know how to bring it up.”

Jane Sampson looked at Peter Gingery with a strange expression; she had always been straightforward with Peter Gingery, never having seen him act so hesitant to say something.

”Since when did you become so wishy-washy?” Jane Sampson adjusted to a more comfortable sitting position, ready to wait for Peter Gingery to speak.
