CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2018: Chapter 2026: It’s Not Hot Anymore

She could understand how heartbroken Rock Bell and Jane Sampson’s assistants must be at the moment, it’s just that too much about Jane Sampson cannot be disclosed, so she could only watch Rock Bell and the others suffer for a while.

——

At the villa, the mute aunt had been out playing until after ten o’clock before returning to the villa, seeing James Black still sitting downstairs watching a movie, she gestured and pointed upstairs.

James glanced at her, pretending not to understand that she was asking about Jane Sampson’s situation, and directly said, ”Please help make some beef broth, don’t add any medicine, so she doesn’t keep sleeping like a dead person.”

The mute aunt gestured for half a day, seeing that James still didn’t understand her meaning, she turned around, rolled her eyes, and entered the kitchen.

Since James had spoken, the mute aunt did not dare not to comply, but after finishing the beef broth, she quickly returned to her own room to rest, clearly not planning to help James with anything else.

James went to the kitchen to check the beef broth, tasted it, although the mute aunt’s attitude towards him wasn’t as good as towards the young man, she didn’t slack off with the work, the beef broth tasted quite good.

James looked around in the kitchen and saw no used medicine boxes, then carried the beef broth upstairs.

Opening the door and going inside, the person in the bed was still asleep.

James placed the bowl at the bedside, sat on the bed edge, bent down, and kissed Jane Sampson on her lips, then gently shook her, ”Wake up, eat something before you continue sleeping.”

After calling out for quite a while, Jane Sampson finally murmured a couple of responses, still somewhat displeased as she reached out to push him, accidentally touching the wound, suddenly waking up, her eyes red, looking at him like a bullied little white rabbit, still with a sleepy confusion in her eyes.

”Have some beef broth before you sleep.” James pulled her up, checked the wound on her arm to see it hadn’t been rubbed open, then put her arm back, picked up the bowl, ”I let it cool down, it’s not hot anymore.”

As he was speaking, he brought the soup scoop to Jane Sampson’s lips.

Jane Sampson opened her mouth to take a bite, then frowned, using her uninjured hand to take the soup scoop from James’ hand, she scooped around the bowl herself, sending James an aggrieved look, ”There’s no meat~”

She snorted and continued to protest, ”It’s all tofu and egg flowers~”

Before James could explain, she pouted, ”I want to eat meat~”

With this kind of both aggrieved and pitiful demeanor, with a bit of a spoiled attitude, James’ heart softened watching her.

”Your stomach isn’t in good condition now, eating too much meat is hard to digest.” James gently patted Jane Sampson’s head with great patience, coaxing her, ”When you go back home and recover, I’ll take you to eat beef hotpot.”

”You’re lying, I know you’re coaxing me, when I get home, there’ll be nothing left, only the bitter Chinese medicine.” Although Jane Sampson complained about the lack of meat, she still continued eating the broth herself one bite at a time.

After a sleep, she was in a better state than before, she finished the big bowl of beef broth without leaving a bit, proving that her appetite was indeed good, she had indeed been starving these few days.

James helplessly curled the corner of his mouth and smiled, ”I’m not coaxing you, I’m serious.”

Only then did Jane Sampson smile at him, indicating she was happy.

When James was taking the empty bowl downstairs, he deliberately passed by the mute aunt’s room, seeing that the light in her room was still on, he quietly went upstairs again.
