CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2019: Chapter 2027: Utterly Heartbroken

Closing the room door, James Black and Jane Sampson talked about some things outside.

Hearing James Black spread the news, Jane Sampson was much more relieved knowing that her grandfather and grandparents all knew she was fine.

”When something happened to me, I was most worried about you all, afraid you’d be anxious, and afraid you’d be in pain,” Jane Sampson said. ”After the news of my incident is made public, my fans should be very sad, right?”

James Black nodded, thought for a moment, then added, ”The saddest should be Bright Sampson.”

Jane Sampson exclaimed, ”You didn’t tell him I’m okay?”

”Just in case, no,” James Black said. ”Bright Sampson is still young and can’t hide things well; he’s also a public figure. If something happened to you, many people would naturally focus on him. If he knew you were safe, his first reaction to the public security news could easily give something away. After all, he’s not an actor.”

After saying this, James Black added, ”Once the news of your incident was released, Bright Sampson’s team leader informed him, who was in closed training. Bright Sampson bought a ticket to come here over seven o’clock. According to the news, he was crying all the way, from the road to the airport until the plane landed, and from the landing to the police station, and then to the lodging hotel.”

James Black could not frequently communicate externally, so he got this information from the internet realm.

”This poor child really suffered,” Jane Sampson sighed. ”Bright Sampson considers me his closest family in this world. If something happened to me, he would be devastated.”

How big a boy already, usually as proud as one can be, yet he cried in front of people all day, which shows how collapsed his emotions were, to the point where he couldn’t hide any bit of it.

”And Sister Tin, Coco, Nina, they would be sad too,” Jane Sampson sighed, shaking her head. ”I imagine when I go back, they’ll beat me to death. The sadder they are now, the harder they’ll beat me then.”

After speaking, Jane Sampson tugged at James Black’s sleeve. ”Then, you have to help me! They are afraid of you. Stand by my side, and they’ll back off.”

Jane Sampson could hardly imagine the scene of a group of people holding hammers to smash her to pieces, shivering at the thought.

James Black nodded with a smile in his eyes, then took off his shoes and lay down on the bed, next to Jane Sampson, avoiding her injured hand, and gently held her in his arms.

Neither spoke, just quietly feeling each other’s body temperature, breathing, and heartbeat.

After a long time, James Black pressed his voice and said, ”Mute Aunt is at the doorway.”

While speaking, James Black quickly turned over and pressed down on Jane Sampson.

Jane Sampson instinctively glanced toward the door, but she couldn’t see how James Black could tell.

”Do you know what to do?” James Black’s voice gently passed into her ear as his kiss landed behind her ear.

Jane Sampson softly responded with a hum.

She only took a few seconds to brew her emotions, and when she spoke, her voice carried trembling and choking, but more so, it was full of panic.

”Master Strongman, I beg you, let me go, please let me go~ I beg you, don’t touch me~”

James Black’s kiss obviously paused, and he couldn’t help but look up at Jane Sampson.

Well, his wife was quite the actress.

His moral sense almost stopped him in his tracks.

But James Black had to praise Jane Sampson; she truly was his wife, clever from childhood to adulthood. These things didn’t require much explanation; she could understand his meaning without extra words.
