CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2032: Chapter 2040: Make Some Arrangements

”He said that if he doesn’t make it and dies, I should tell his family not to rush to bury him. He wants to wait until Jane Sampson’s affairs are settled and then let me inform his family that he wishes to be buried as close to Jane Sampson as possible.” Jack Yummy said this much, believing that Alexander Forest should understand.

”Kane Forest loved Jane Sampson,” Jack Yummy said.

Alexander Forest was momentarily speechless, as if he had suddenly lost the ability to speak, standing there in a daze, unable to come to his senses for a long time.

”My brother? He liked little Jane?” Alexander Forest rubbed his eyebrows, ”That can’t be, little Jane is James Black’s wife, how could my brother like little Jane?”

”Feelings are unpredictable,” Jack Yummy replied, ”Your brother knew Jane Sampson for many years and had a secret crush on her, he just didn’t let anyone know. Your brother’s character, if he doesn’t want others to see through something, not even a deity could guess his thoughts.”

”As you said, Jane Sampson was already married. Because of this, your brother probably dared not let anyone see it. However, nowadays, with Jane Sampson murdered and gone, your brother only liked this one girl for such a long time. Given the tragic way Jane Sampson died, it’s normal that your brother couldn’t hold it together.”

Because of Jane Sampson’s death, Kane Forest suffered a huge emotional shock. When someone is irrational, they tend to do things that are incomprehensible to others.

For instance, Kane Forest wanting to avenge Jane Sampson personally.

Under normal circumstances, with Kane Forest’s character, he would never do such things.

”By the way, your brother even went to the police station during the daytime,” Jack Yummy said. ”He might have seen Jane Sampson’s burned remains at the police station. Witnessing firsthand the sight of a girl he loved for many years after her tragic death—that’s a true mental blow. Probably because of this, your brother lost all reason.”

At first, it was all incomprehensible, but after the explanation, it became understandable.

Because of feelings, and because of the deep and long-hidden affection Kane Forest held all these years.

If Jane Sampson hadn’t died so tragically, but from an illness or a car accident, perhaps when she was gone, she would just be gone. Kane Forest would be heartbroken for a few years, but after a few years, he would slowly move on.

”How does my brother know who murdered Jane Sampson?” Alexander Forest stood there frozen, ”Even the police haven’t found out, so how did my brother know so quickly?”

”Alexander, ten million, it’s enough to tempt most people,” Jack Yummy sighed. ”Your brother’s ten million reward posted on Twitter played its part.”

Alexander Forest understood.

Because of that ten million, someone contacted Kane Forest privately, providing him with a clue which he followed to find the person who killed Jane Sampson.

As for what information that person had given Kane Forest, Jack Yummy didn’t know that for the time being either.

”By the way, your brother was admitted with a gunshot wound; you know how special gunshot wounds are, so you need to discuss quickly with your family whether or not to involve the police. If you don’t want to alarm the police, you need to make some arrangements quickly.” Jack Yummy patted Alexander Forest’s shoulder, ”You stay here and call your family, I’ll go check on your brother’s surgery situation.”

There’s one thing Jack Yummy didn’t use to scare Alexander Forest, Kane Forest’s injury is indeed dangerous.

Jack Yummy left, Alexander Forest stood there in a daze for a while, before taking out his mobile phone to call his Elder Uncle, who is also Kane Forest’s father.
