Chapter 2028: Chapter 2036: That Put Her in Her Place

Then he fed the antipyretics to Jane Sampson, and opened the remaining medicine, leaving it on the ground.

After last night, James Black made a preparation gesture towards Jane Sampson.

Jane Sampson understood.

When James Black’s face turned fierce and he shouted at her angrily, she began to brew her tears.

Jane Sampson had never seen James Black being harsh with her before, today was the first time. If it weren’t for acting, it would be almost impossible for James Black to speak to her in such a fierce tone usually.

He still said things like, ”You have to eat even if you don’t want to.”

Jane Sampson remained silent, after all, the room had been quiet just now, and if she suddenly burst into tears and screams, it would seem fake.

The ultimate sorrow is a dead heart; when many people are in despair, they simply fall into silent despair, neither making a sound nor staying alive.

James Black’s voice successfully attracted the mute aunt from downstairs, along with the young man who was still half asleep and awake.

The young man was still in pajamas with messy hair, obviously having just crawled out of bed to come up and see what was happening.

He pushed the door open, saw the mess everywhere, and asked, ”What’s going on?”

”Since this morning, she hasn’t eaten or drank anything, nor would she take medicine. She doesn’t make a sound, like a living dead person.” James Black said, ”She knocked over the wrinkled quilt, and all the medicine was spit out. Feed one, spit one.”

Saying this, James Black turned to look at the mute aunt and said, ”Please help me buy more anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing medicines, and these wound healing ointments. I don’t believe she can spit them all out.”

”You go,” the young man urged the mute aunt, ”First clean up the room, then go buy them once it’s tidy.”

After speaking, the young man took a step forward and stood facing Jane Sampson, who was lying in bed looking at them with angry eyes, ridiculing, ”I’m telling you, in my territory, even if you want to die, you have to get my permission. Why stick with my Brother Strongman?”

”He has no money now, but later, he’ll still be able to support you. If you show my Brother Strongman any attitude, don’t blame me for fixing you up. When I take action, then you’ll know what life is worse than death means. If you know what’s good for you, keep those messy, untoward thoughts away!”

The young man spoke, lowering his voice to warn James Black, ”The room can’t be cleaned up in a short time, so you might as well switch to another room, take her to another room. Women shouldn’t be spoiled or coaxed. If she’s disobedient, just clean her up once, and it’s fine. You might be fierce, but it’s useless; she’s not afraid of you. Hit her once, she feels pain, and she’ll behave.”

As a man, James Black found such words utterly disagreeable, even laughable.

But as Thomas Strongman, James Black seemingly took the lesson to heart, contemplated for a moment, then hummed and nodded appreciatively, feeling as if he had learned something.

The young man was evidently busy, having been awakened and not even eating breakfast, quickly washed up, changed clothes, and left the villa. Before leaving, he said a few words to James Black, mentioning he was going to see his big brother and confirm with him about meeting James Black in the next two days.

After cleaning up the room, the mute aunt went out to buy stuff for James Black, paid for with money provided by the young man for James Black.

Throughout this daytime, Jane Sampson either played games on James Black’s phone or slept.

Perhaps it was luck, or maybe it was the result of Jane Sampson’s recent body recuperation, but James Black, who had initially worried about her persistent high fever without abating, found it wasn’t actually the case.
