CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2041: Chapter 2049: Already Very Fortunate

”Yes, you are our family’s treasure, Jane. No matter what, we will never give up on you. No matter how difficult it becomes, we will never give up on you.” Old Master Black raised his hand and wiped the tears from the corner of Jane Sampson’s eyes.

”Let grandfather take a look at the wound on your arm.” Old Master Black was most worried about this, then reached out and touched Jane Sampson’s forehead. ”I heard that you had a fever two days ago? And it lasted for an entire day and night? How about now, do you still have a fever?”

”No fever now. After taking care of my body for half a year, my constitution has improved a lot. The fever only lasted one night, and then it was fine. James even praised how resilient my body was this time.” Jane Sampson raised her hand and forcefully wiped away the tears falling down with the back of her hand, not wanting to show her arm to Old Master Black.

Old Master Black knew Jane Sampson too well. Seeing that she avoided mentioning the wound on her arm, he urged again, ”Take off the coat, let grandfather see the wound on your arm. Wearing a coat isn’t good for your wound, it’s too stuffy, that won’t do.”

Seeing no way around it, Jane Sampson nodded softly and obediently took off her coat.

She was wearing a short sleeve underneath, so when the coat came off, the wounds on her arm were exposed to the air.

There was still a faint smell of medicine.

James had specially applied medicine for her in the evening.

Even Old Master Black, who had been through thick and thin, felt his heart ache when he saw the wounds on Jane Sampson’s arm at that moment.

”You’ve grown so well, and the Black Family has never allowed you to shed even a drop of blood.” Old Master Black slowly closed his eyes, using this method to soften the emotions in his heart.

Jane Sampson is the only little lass of the entire Black Family, and although Old Master Black was strict with her when he was younger, he also did his best to protect her from being hurt.

But this time, Jane Sampson’s arm really was covered in scars.

Old Master Black could foresee that these wounds would leave various shades of scars on Jane Sampson’s arm in the future.

Someone as fond of beauty as Jane Sampson, how upset would she be because of these scars?

”When you get back, grandfather will find the best doctor for you, to make sure that in the future, you will still be as beautiful as before.” Old Master Black promised.

”It’s okay, grandfather. Even if there are minor scars, it’s okay. Compared to scars, being able to still be alive and getting rescued like this, I really feel that I am very lucky.”

Jane Sampson truly felt her own good fortune.

The night she was kidnapped, the little devilish young man was called away by his Big Brother to handle something.

During this period, although she was constantly fed sleeping pills, she was mostly in a dazed sleep and didn’t endure much torment.

Later, the young man returned, took a bottle of her blood, and by daybreak, at noon, James appeared before her eyes.

Although her arm was injured, her heart was at peace.

If it weren’t for such good luck, with how many days she had been kidnapped, considering the young man’s twisted nature, if she had really suffered harm from him, she truly would rather be dead, wouldn’t she?

”Optimism is good~” Old Master Black was both gratified and heartbroken. He thought to himself, anyway, he was definitely going to find the best doctor for Jane Sampson.

Jane Sampson wasn’t in great spirits. While talking with Old Master Black on the airplane, she unknowingly leaned against him and fell asleep.

Listening to Old Master Black’s voice, she slept very soundly.
