I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 650: Chapter 649

Beisitian frowned, finding it hard to understand the look of excitement on Bei Jiale’s face.

Seeing Beisitian’s displeased expression, Bei Jiale shrugged and said, ”Still not clear enough? You and I, we’re identical twins, we look exactly the same, originally meant to be the closest of sisters, yet we repel each other!”

Beisitian opened her mouth, clearly not understanding what Bei Jiale was saying.

Bei Jiale could fully understand Beisitian’s reaction. When she first learned about this, it took her five years to verify it. She didn’t verify it by asking Beisitian, but by looking up the Bei Family’s history and tracing their roots, that’s when she realized it was true!

”What do you mean by saying we repel each other?” Beisitian’s brow furrowed deeply.

Bei Jiale didn’t speak. She took a small knife from her body, made a cut on her hand, and the bright red blood oozed out. She let the blood drip into the cup in front of her and then handed the knife to Beisitian.

Beisitian immediately understood her intention. After hesitating for a second, she made a small cut and, with Bei Jiale’s nod of encouragement, let the blood drip into the cup.

The two types of blood intertwined upon contact, quickly producing a sizzling sound. Before Beisitian was prepared for it, there was a ’bang’, and it exploded.

Beisitian let out a low cry, but Bei Jiale remained calm, as if she had anticipated this scene long ago.

The waiter, startled, rushed over in shock, ”I’m sorry, are you both alright?” She had no idea why the cup had shattered, and it would be troublesome if the guests were injured.

Bei Jiale smiled and said, ”It’s okay, just clean it up.”

At this moment, the lobby manager also came over and, seeing how understanding the guests were, hurriedly cleaned up after apologizing.

Beisitian was splashed with some water stains but was too preoccupied to care because the blood from her and Bei Jiale had shattered the cup!

What’s going on...

”Just one drop is enough. One drop of my blood, or one drop of yours, is enough to take the other’s life!” Bei Jiale said.

Beisitian could hardly believe her eyes. Suddenly she remembered something and asked, ”But that day you saved me!”

She wanted to prove Bei Jiale was wrong.

Bei Jiale shrugged, ”That’s the ridiculous part. Our blood and even the Xuan Talismans made from it are contradictory, yet our Original Essence Qi Spirit is complementary. In that situation, only I could save you!”

Beisitian’s eyes remained wide with shock, ”So that’s why Father did that...”

At this moment, she suddenly understood that Beidewang was sacrificing one to save the other!

Bei Jiale let out a cold laugh, ”Yes, that’s why you should be filial to him. He threw me away for you.” The sarcasm in her words was intense.

It was obvious how much she hated this matter!

It’s hard not to hate something like this, and if Bei Jiale hadn’t met that person, she might have spent her entire life on that cliff.

Despite this, Beisitian still felt that Beidewang was ruthless. While she didn’t feel much before, being a mother now changed her perspective. Just thinking about such a possibility was unbearable.

Bei Jiale lowered her eyes, ”I’ll never be able to forgive him in this life.”

Beisitian remained silent, knowing she would feel the same.

Soon, Bei Jiale shrugged, pulling herself out of that gloomy mood, and teased Beisitian, ”Alright, our issue is clear now. As you’re faced with this problem, my dear sister, what do you plan to do?”

Beisitian pressed her lips together, looking at the schadenfreude on Bei Jiale’s face, and said, ”You don’t have to pretend. I’m not going to abandon my child.”

Bei Jiale’s lips twitched, and the schadenfreude on her face disappeared. She snorted coldly and said, ”Before my conscience completely dies, I can help you. I take one, you keep one, and when they grow up and have the ability to act independently, let them reunite.”

From Bei Jiale’s perspective, this was the best solution!

She felt she was quite insane. Clearly, she was destined to be a lonely person, an ’invisible’ person, yet she meddled in others’ business. Beisitian should be her greatest threat!

Bei Jiale thought with such resentment, yet she couldn’t just stand by. She didn’t want to see another girl experience the same unbearable, difficult past and hardships as she did. The physical torment wasn’t important; the torment of the heart was the most terrifying. Her biological father wanted to kill her, and her biological sister would kill her too...

She lacked any love she should have, so why should she love others!

She often thought this way, but her longing for family overwhelmed her resentment, leading her to keep an eye on Beisitian and even help her in times of crisis.

As she said herself, only Beisitian could prove her existence, her past, and her origins, and only Beisitian could give her that tiny bit of family affection.

But that last part was Bei Jiale’s wishful thinking, something she only imagined in her mind.

After Bei Jiale spoke, she didn’t expect Beisitian to agree immediately, and indeed, Beisitian refused. Her child, she wanted to watch grow up by her side.

”You should think about it, go back and do an experiment, see if the two children repel each other. I know it’s hard to accept, but you have no choice. If you don’t want to see one kill the other one day, make a decision early.”

With that, Bei Jiale stood up, ready to leave.

”Let me know when you’ve made up your mind. Here’s my contact information.” Bei Jiale gave her phone number to Beisitian; it wasn’t a landline number.

After Bei Jiale left, Beisitian sat there in a daze for a long time. She truly couldn’t accept this outcome.

Of course, she couldn’t just take Bei Jiale’s word for it. She had to ask Beidewang. Now that she knew, and since Bei Jiale hadn’t told her everything, there must be more between her and Beidewang.

Suppressing her worries, Beisitian got up and went back to the banquet hall.

Such timing was chosen by Bei Jiale to ensure she could rest peacefully after giving birth. If this matter had been revealed during her recovery, things might not have been as they were now.

From this, it seemed that Bei Jiale wasn’t as terrible as imagined. From the time she saved her, Beisitian had this feeling.

Being willing to use the Original Essence Qi Spirit to save her showed she genuinely wanted to save her!

The banquet continued, and everyone enjoyed the food provided by Heavenly Blessing, once again satiating their appetite.

But Beisitian appeared somewhat absent-minded, her gaze often drifting to the children in the wooden cradle.
