Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 448: Nathanʼs Choice of Element (Bonus)

A moment ago.

”!!!” Jisawn noticed a group of people climbing up the mountain on top of a wolf. ”Is that…”

Jisawn panicked. ”Theyʼre out after not going anywhere for the last four days? Is it because of the shake earlier that they want to investigate the mountain? But I still have one more day to confirm the sageʼs existence…”

Jisawn gritted his teeth. ”I need to discuss it first.”

Since this was an operation between three hands, Jisawn regrouped with the two at the foot of the mountain.

”What? Youʼve finally confirmed the sageʼs existence?” Kana smiled, feeling excited. ”Are we going in now?”

”Thatʼs what I want to discuss. After not taking a step out of the inn for the last four days, they suddenly came out after the shake.”

”Does that mean they will come out only after the shake? We donʼt know when the next shake will come… If it takes too long, they might end up returning first. Itʼs better if we deal with them here in the mountain. We can make people think theyʼre gone because of the mission instead of us,” explained Kana.

”Yes.” Jisawn nodded. ”My habit wants me to keep looking for the sage for one more day, but my rationality believes that this is the perfect time to go.”

”I definitely want to finish things up right now.” Kana raised her head.

”Me too.” Daniel stood up, agreeing with Kana.

”Two people have agreed. Jisawn…” Kana squinted her eyes.

Jisawn still hesitated for a minute, but there seemed to be no other choice. He had looked at every corner of the mountain in the last four days and confirmed that Leyfon wasnʼt there. So, he had no choice but to agree with them this time. ”Fine. Follow me.”

Kana and Daniel grinned excitedly.

…

Nathan, on the other hand, frowned the moment his beasts noticed them.

”Call your familiars. Only those who are at the master level should be out.” Nathan warned them.

Because of that order, Selena summoned Risa, Yin Zhen, and Amphitrite. Sera could only summon Brunhild and Asmodeus while Alavenya summoned all four familiars like Nathan.

”I smell a woman from the enemy.” Asmodeus licked his lips. ”A very strong one.”

”Donʼt you dare turn her on. If she pounces on Nathan, weʼll be facing a crisis.” Sera glared at Asmodeus.

”Shouldnʼt you worry about yourself? There are two men among them, you know?” Asmodeus blinked his eyes a few times. ”However, I will keep that in mind.”

”What is this? Have they actually expected us here?” Kana raised her eyebrows and halted her step. Jisawn hid behind a tree while Daniel cracked his fingers. ”Theyʼre decent, but not strong enough to go against us.”

Daniel smirked. ”Should we just take care of this?”

”Donʼt kill them. We can use their blood or body parts for future summoning. I will take care of that cute boy.” Kana smiled seductively. ”Having a child made from that bloodline might not be that bad. They might even summon a beast as well.”

Selena was the first to react. She waved her staff toward her, creating a massive sweeping force that felt like an avalanche.

Kana snapped her fingers and formed a wind tornado that sucked all that snow and threw it away.

”What is this? Such an impatient little slut.” Kana narrowed her eyes.

Selenaʼs eyes were glimmering with killing intent. Even if the opponent was much stronger than her, the desire to want to kill the person in front of her was huge. Surprisingly, Amphitrite and Risa felt the same for different reasons.

Nathan took a deep breath. ”Selena, Sera, Alavenya. You three fight her. I will take care of the remaining two.”

”Hoh? This guy is so confident with his strength.” Daniel grinned. ”Your arrogance knows no limit. You wonʼt be able to even defeat one of my familiars, let alone take both of us down.”

To prove his strength, Daniel summoned his familiar, which turned out to be a minotaur. However, compared to the minotaur that Rudeus had, this one was at least three times its size.

In addition, it was naturally exuding killing intent and bloodlust from its eyes.

The minotaur let out a loud roar with his ena bursting out of his body. Those two caused an avalanche on the side of the mountain.

Fenrir and Nidhogg gnashed their teeth, as they could sense the difference in their strength. If only they had more ena and unlocked a few more abilities, they would have crushed this insolent creature.

Anubis turned solemn because his responsibility was the biggest. He had to prevent anyone from dying.

Jinwu soared into the sky and activated his battle form like that of a sun in the sky. He flapped his wing while letting out a loud cry.

”You donʼt have to help me, Jisawn. Iʼm going to take care of this kid myself.” Daniel grinned.

”Hahaha…” Nathan suddenly laughed.

”Whatʼs funny? Youʼre the one who is funny… to think that you want to fight us by yourself.”

”Nothing. I just expected a lot more from a terrorist organization that had been hidden for a long time. I thought you would be much more clever than this. To think you would be walking right into my trap?”

”!!!” Jisawn instinctively turned around, wondering if he had missed something. But he didnʼt.

”Trap or not. As long as we capture you first, itʼs going to be fine.” Daniel snorted.

”Capture me? Then, letʼs have you try it.” Nathan smirked.

He had prepared an elemental contract before this. It wasnʼt space and time or even gravity. Instead, it was an element that matched the environment and season.

[In exchange for 2,000 ena, Nathan Reckmoon is able to control the ice element at 0 Kelvin for 5 minutes. The ena required to lower down the temperature of the ice will be supplied by the main bodyʼs reserve.]

That was right. He wanted ice at absolute zero. He could only form this contract due to the current season. In addition, he even went to the top of the mountain so that the ambient temperature would decrease further, which lowered the requirement of his ena.

If not for these conditions, he might even need 5,000 ena just to control it for 5 minutes.

Of course, this contract also required a trigger.

Nathan couldnʼt help but feel goosebumps because it was edgy and cringe. But it was something he always wanted to say when reading those novels. And that trigger was…

”Ice. I am its king!”
