Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 409: Asmodeusʼ Goal

After understanding Nathanʼs plan, the Pope and Sullivan ended up taking their leave first.

”Serafina. You are a talented child, but you are lacking in your core. Keep this up and you wonʼt be able to do anything, understand?”

”Yes.” Sera nodded furiously.

Sullivan patted Nathanʼs shoulder. ”I will visit again soon. For now, I bet those people would like to hear your opinion, so Iʼll convey it to them.

”Yes.” Nathan nodded.

Sullivan immediately circled his arm around the Pope while dragging him away. ”Why donʼt we leave now before anyone spots you?”

”Youʼre the only one making me stand out!” The Pope clicked his tongue and pushed him away.

”What did you say?”

They seemed to be arguing with each other as they were leaving.

”Huuu…” Nathan let out a long sigh. ”We are finally done.”

The two seemed to be exhausted dealing with those two old men as well.

”Letʼs get some rest. We are exhausted.” Nathan smiled wryly. ”In the meantime, tell me more about your summoning ritual. It has succeeded, right?”

”…” The moment he mentioned the summoning ritual, both of them exchanged looks with dumbfounded faces.

”It has succeeded, right?” Nathan smiled wryly, feeling like he knew their answer. ”Ugh. What actually happened?”

Sera sighed. ”I should tell you first. To summon the demon, I got the demon horn from the Holy Kingdomʼs treasury, but it turned out the demon was one of the famous demons known over a century ago.”

”Another demon beside Aamon? I donʼt think you could summon someone weaker than him… Who is exactly this demon?”

”Asmodeus.”

Nathan widened his eyes in shock. ”What did you say?”

”Itʼs Asmodeus.”

Nathan facepalmed, thinking, ʼAsmodeus is associated with the seven deadly sins. He is indeed perfect for Sera, but there are two things that stop me from choosing him.

ʼFirst of all, he is associated with Lust. Itʼs not Wrath or other deadly sins. Itʼs lust… I wonʼt be able to keep up at this rate, especially since Selena is hell-bent on getting Lilith, who is also similar to a succubus.

ʼThe second reason is that Asmodeus is smart… too smart in fact. He is manipulative and crafty, and Iʼm afraid Sera will be taken advantage of by him.ʼ

”Can you summon him?” Nathan asked in a tired voice.

”Mhmmm.” Sera nodded and summoned Asmodeus as they walked inside.

”Hohoho. Have you finally decided to summon me, my dear summoner?” Asmodeus politely greeted Sera, only to notice the owner of the blood he saw previously.

His eyes immediately shifted to Nathan.

”Oh my. To think that you would be here. May I know if you were the one donating that blood for her summoning ritual?” Asmodeus asked while pointing at Selena.

Instead of answering him, Nathan asked, ”What is your goal in this world?”

Asmodeus smiled. ”I had a goal, but it now has changed.”

”Changed, heh?” Nathan snorted.

”Yes. Demon doesnʼt lie.” Asmodeus nodded with confidence.

”Doesnʼt lie, but doesnʼt tell the whole thing either. Let us misunderstand you, which doesnʼt count as a lie.” Nathan brushed everything off, showing how tricky he was.

”I see. You are that type of guy.” Asmodeus grinned. ”If thatʼs the case, thereʼs no need for me to phrase my words carefully. Instead, I will be frank with you. I have one desire.”

”And that is?” Nathan narrowed his eyes, pressuring him.

Asmodeus raised a finger and said with a sincere tone, ”To see you having so many children.”

”Chil—” Sera gasped.

”—dren?” Selena finished her words in shock.

Nathan sighed. ”What is your true plan? Is it me or my children?”

Asmodeus shook his head. ”I canʼt say. However, Iʼm willing to help you to create your own harem just like how my previous summoner was able to create a wonderful harem.”

”Your summoner definitely died because of that very harem.” Nathan shrugged.

”Iʼm surprised you know about it. Heʼs just tired since he has no reservation.”

Nathan clicked his tongue. He could guess a few possible plans that Asmodeus had in mind.

He would be the one to handle it, but for the time being, he had one thing to make sure of.

”Iʼm not your summoner. She is. What are you trying to do?”

”I already know that she wishes to be stronger. While Iʼm associated with lust, Iʼm also a powerful demon equipped with magical abilities. I shall use my strength to support her and will put my life on the line. After all, helping her means helping you… meaning achieving my goal.”

Sera could finally see why Nathan was worried about her. She was gullible, which made her the perfect target for.

Nathan pinched the bridge of his nose while wondering if her teacher, the Pope, realized this and trained her physically for one reason or another.

After all, if the Pope was going to visit her, he would rarely talk about training if she didnʼt mention it.

Nathan, on the other hand, pondered for a moment before saying, ”Fine. Use every bit of your wisdom and every ena in your body to defeat her enemy. If the moment I realize your goal is going to harm others, including the three of us here, I will become your enemy at that time.”

”I shall put it in my mind.” Asmodeus nodded. ”In that case, would you like to have another session? I have the ability to raise oneʼs sensitivity and libido.”

”Do you want to die? If you think Iʼm the same as your previous summoner, then youʼre wrong.”

”Hahaha. I was just kidding.” Asmodeus politely bowed. ”In that case, I shall return when you need me again.”

Asmodeus disappeared into thin air.

”We are done here. I have never thought it would be Asmodeus, but he is considered one of the strongest out there, so I guess I donʼt have to worry about the time being.” Nathan sighed. He turned to Selena, asking, ”You have summoned Amphitrite, right?”

”Yes. Itʼs just…” Selena looked away while rubbing her cheek. ”Well, thereʼs no trouble, I think.”
