Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 410: Revealing Nathanʼs Secret

Two days ago.

Selena sat on the bed while summoning Amphitrite.

”It seems you have finally summoned me.” Amphitrite glared at Selena. ”Do you know you have done something wrong?”

”I havenʼt done anything wrong.” Selena shook her head.

”You are wrong. Why do you even let that guy get together with other women?”

Selenaʼs expression remained calm. If it was before, she would have released some killing intent, thinking Sera had to be eliminated.

Whether it was Nathan or Sera, her mindset had changed. Selena looked Amphitrite in the eyes before saying with a tone full of conviction, ”All I know is that itʼs impossible to have him by myself. Even if I do my best, the world wouldnʼt allow me.

”Besides, he is truly a man who is capable of such a thing. Rather than fighting his will, Iʼd rather embrace it. He is sincere enough to also consider my opinion, so I see nothing wrong with it.

”Instead of letting him do it behind my back, Iʼd rather let him do it with someone I know so that I can make sure they have the right characters.”

”Youʼre weak. If you had the means, you should have prevented him.” Amphitrite gritted her teeth. She couldnʼt let her summoner experience the same thing as her.

”You simply donʼt know him much. Thatʼs why you have such an opinion.” Selena shook her head.

”Heh? You think you know everything about him?” Amphitrite thought she could take advantage of this information in order to completely change her opinion. ”Fine. I will listen to you first. Tell me everything about him.”

Selena began to recount everything she experienced together. She even told her about her feelings at that time and how she was just a desperate person back then. It was Nathan who changed her.

There was something different between Nathan and Poseidon, and she could probably use this.

After listening to her for more than two hours, Amphitrite said, ”Say… The way he solved troubles is very well done, right? It is as if he has been calculating everything perfectly. Itʼs like he is a perfectionist when coming up with a plan, trying to get everyone happy, even if it means harming himself.”

”He is not a perfectionist. He is just perfect.” Selena corrected her.

”Oi!” Amphitriteʼs eyebrows twitched.

”Yes. He is a perfectionist. Selena had to first agree to hear what she was trying to say.

Amphitrite raised a finger. ”If thatʼs the case, why canʼt you ask for a perfect place for you where you can live with him alone instead of letting other women come to him?”

Selena tilted her head in confusion. ”I donʼt understand what youʼre talking about. We both have a dream. He has sacrificed a portion of it so that he can fulfill my dream. Shouldnʼt I do the same?”

Amphitrite simply couldnʼt believe what Selena said. She facepalmed while thinking, ʼWhy am I getting unlucky with this kind of summoner? She is too far gone.ʼ

Nathan had probably known about this and realized that no matter what Amphitrite had, he wouldnʼt have to worry about her.

This was why Selena shook her head, saying, ”Thereʼs no problem with Amphitrite.”

”Is that so?” Nathan smiled wryly. He knew Selena was capable, so if she said everything was fine, it was probably going to be fine.

”Alright then.” Nathan nodded. ”Let me take care of the mission with Alavenya after this, and all of us can go on a mission like usual. As you know, there is going to be registration for us summoners and our familiars, so prepare for that.”

”Yes.”

”Anyway, letʼs get some rest. We are tired.” Nathan sighed.

…

While Nathan and the others were resting, Sullivan ended up returning to the palace, meeting the king, his son, Flora, and Noelle.

”Sullivan. Why are you here?” Julius asked.

Sullivan smiled wryly. ”I come to report to you about his intention.”

”His intention? Whose intention?” Julius frowned.

”Iʼm talking about the guy responsible for all this mess.” Sullivan smiled wryly.

All of them couldnʼt help but furrow their eyebrows, thinking of the same person.

”The Pope just visited the academy to recruit him, so I did my best to stop him. I apologize for not being able to come back immediately.”

”Is the Holy Kingdom planning to get him?” Julius frowned. ”They are sly. Are they trying to use a moral compass for this?”

”No. Nathan said he didnʼt want to leave the Azilia Kingdom unless he was forced to. And that force could be external and internal.

”I donʼt think I need to explain what kind of external forces we are talking about. As for the internal…” Sullivan glanced at Flora and Noelle.

Julius instantly understood what he meant. He squinted his eyes. ”I see. What are you going to do then?”

”I believe protecting him alone is already a correct move. In addition, the Pope and I have agreed to fulfill his wish in order not to monopolize the weapons. If nothing goes wrong, weʼre planning to meet representatives of other kingdoms for that kind of intention, stopping them from trying to steal him. Instead, I might have to ask Your Majestyʼs intention. Are you willing to give up the plan to monopolize the magic weapons?”

”Father! You—!” Zack stood up. In the end, he was still the captain of the royal guard. Questioning the monarchʼs intention would result either in prison or death sentence.

Julius waved his hand, signaling it was fine. After hearing Nathanʼs intention, he couldnʼt help but ask, ”What is he planning to do by asking us to give up the monopoly?”

Sullivan raised a finger. ”Alpha Class and Apex Class aliens.”

”Is he aiming for the aliens you said to have god-like abilities? The ones who allow the invasion?”

”Yes.” Sullivan nodded with a solemn expression.

”Father. This might be a childʼs response…” Zack frowned. ”We already have our hands full with only the Elite Class, but those two classes…”

”I know.” Sullivanʼs expression turned solemn. ”And that is why the Pope told me one piece of information about him so that the Azilia Kingdom and the Holy Kingdom could remain as allies.”

”And that is?”

”His body… contains divinity.”
