Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 420: Thief (Bonus)

With the teleportation circle, they arrived at the auction house in just thirty minutes.

Nathan raised his head, looking at the huge sign of this building.

ʼDeviant Auction House.ʼ

The building was actually a box. The roof was slanted, but other than that, there wasnʼt anything that showed it wasnʼt a box. It was out of place since the architecture was different from any buildings around it.

”This is the place, right?” Nathan asked.

”Yeah. I think it is. More importantly, have you felt it?”

”Felt what?”

”There are people watching us.” Alavenya calmly mentioned it without showing the fact she could sense them.

”Mhmm. Ignore them. They are probably here to surveil me.” Nathans shrugged. ”Anyway, letʼs enter first.”

”Alright.”

As soon as they entered and showed their identities through their uniforms, the staff immediately brought them to meet their manager.

To Nathanʼs delight, the manager was similar to what he had always read in a novel. The manager was in her late twenties, showing a much more mature and seductive aura. She had long blond hair with her bangs covering her left eye.

With glasses and papers in both hands, she looked like an intelligent manager who worked hard for the sake of the auction house.

The moment they entered, the manager smiled and politely bowed.

”Thank you for accepting my request. To think that the esteemed Alavenya Silveresta and Nathan would actually come to this humble auction house. Itʼs an honor to meet both of you. My name is Misha.”

Alavenya glanced at Nathan, asking who would be the one replying to her.

Nathan answered it with his action. He stepped forth and said, ”Thank you. We are just students, so you can be more casual with us.”

”I understand. Thank you very much.” Misha nodded gently.

Nathan didnʼt expect there would be such a person in this auction house. Just a slight movement from her could make oneʼs heart race. If he went here alone, he would probably end up buying a lot of things due to her seduction alone.

ʼWhatʼs next? Is she actually the young miss of a big family like the ones I have read so far?ʼ Nathan thought.

”Since you already know us, then we donʼt have to introduce ourselves anymore. Still, please take a look at this…” Nathan handed over the two cards.

[Name: Nathan]

[Rank: Master]

[Familiar: A (Master), B (Master), C (Master), D (Master).]

[Name: Alavenya Silveresta]

[Rank: Master]

[Familiar: A (Elite), B (Elite), C (Master), D (Master), E (Master), F (Master).]

”Oh my. Is this the legendary identification card that is said to be issued in two months for all summoners in the world?” Misha looked stunned.

”Yes.” Nathan nodded. ”I apologize if there is a bit of unnecessary information. Weʼre still working on the design.”

”I see.” Misha nodded in understanding. ”Still, just looking at this alone, I can see your ability. Even if the person standing in front of me is not you, I can fairly gauge their strength with only this. Even though there are only the two of you, with this kind of lineup, I think I can entrust everything to you.”

”Thatʼs great. Thank you for your understanding.” Nathan received the cards back. There would be some magic circles to make sure no one could counterfeit it. For the time being, it was enough to see the information of a summoner.

As Misha said, she could judge pretty accurately whether they were able to handle the mission or not. The rest depended on luck, skills, and even planning.

Nathan explained, ”In that case, may I know more information about the organization that will attack the auction house?”

Mishaʼs expression turned solemn. ”Please take a seat first.”

Nathan and Alavenya took a seat as the maid prepared tea for them.

Misha explained, ”The organization is rather new and only famous locally. Do you perhaps know about the Black Cat Organization?”

”The terrorist organization that kidnaps students?”

”Yes. This organization is similar, but instead of people, they steal items.”

Nathan squinted his eyes. ”Do you have their names and their capabilities?”

”A bit.” Misha nodded. ”First of all, they are a secret organization with high-level illusion users in their ranks. They are able to shapeshift, sometimes becoming a beautiful woman, sometimes a nobleman, and sometimes they can become an alien that attacks various places.

”Their leader is Andreas K. For your information, he is not a noble. He just puts it in front of his name to confuse people. He has no problem in taking down a mature class alien.

”In this group, there are at least 6 summoners under him. While theyʼre not as strong as him, two of them are rather powerful. They also have the ability to fight a mature class alien.

”There should be a few normal people under them. They have been dealing with stealing treasures in at least five cities around this area.

”And this time…” Misha took out a letter.

The letter had a bat icon on it. ”We have set our eyes on you.”

The letter was simple, but Nathan couldnʼt help but wonder what was wrong with them. ”Why did they send the letter? Isnʼt this just throwing their advantage away?”

”Thatʼs what I have thought as well, but apparently, every time they act, thereʼs always this letter sent a few days before it.”

”And they succeeded every time?”

”Yes. Even when the target tightened the security, they managed to get them.”

”Do you know the things they have stolen so far?” Nathan asked.

Misha thought for a moment. ”I have never really checked.”

”Can you check it for me? If we can narrow down the list theyʼre trying to steal, we can focus on them.”

”I will try.” Misha nodded. It was surprising for Alavenya to see Misha cooperating with Nathan the whole time. When she went on a mission alone, people usually didnʼt cooperate with her a lot. She just dealt with it by herself most of the time.

”Both of us have our own way of tracking them down, so if possible, we will be working independently. Please notify your people to ignore us.”

”Understood.”

Nathan thought for a moment. There were a few scenarios that could allow them to capture these people in novels, but he wondered which scenario he should choose?
