Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 408: Nathanʼs Real Target (Bonus)

Nathan was speechless. He never thought that their relationship was this good.

Sullivan grabbed Nathanʼs hand while saying, ”Grandson-in-law.”

”How shameless can you be? Do you think I donʼt know that your real aim is to get that magic weapon?” The Pope pushed him away.

”You have talked a lot with him. Itʼs my turn!” Sullivan gritted his teeth.

Nathan scratched the back of his head. He never thought Sullivan would end up selling Noelle just like that. Then again, he understood the impact of the magic weapon.

In the end, he ignored both of them and slipped away when they were focused on each other. He came to Selena while asking, ”Did they do anything here?”

”Nothing. Both of them seemed to be competing with each other.” Selena shook her head. ”You have created too much noise.”

”I know that. Whatʼs the situation in the academy?”

”For the time being, itʼs peaceful. Other than those two here, everything is normal. Caroline and Ricky donʼt seem to be planning to approach you after realizing they canʼt afford you.

”Fair enough.” He nodded. Seeing both of them were still arguing, Nathan whispered, ”Grab Sera first and head back inside. Iʼll deal with this.”

”Sure.”

As soon as Selena walked away, Nathan approached both old men and said, ”Anyway, please listen to me first. I have no plan of moving away unless Iʼm forced to.”

Both of them stopped fighting for a bit.

Sullivan clenched his fists as if he had won.

”Would you like to have some tea while listening to my plan for a bit?”

They exchanged looks and nodded in agreement.

A few minutes later, they were sitting at the same table as Risa placed down the tea on the table.

Nathan raised three fingers. ”There are three things Iʼd like you to know. First of all, as I have said to the Pope, I have no plan to monopolize it or let anyone monopolize the Magic Weapon.

”If they can be used freely, they will allow us to reclaim the territory that the aliens have taken from us.

”Hence, Iʼm planning to distribute it not only to the Azilia Kingdom, the Holy Kingdom, but also to the Liaystian Kingdom and the Beast Kingdom. Thatʼs why thereʼs no need to tempt me with your granddaughter or something like that.”

”Do you think people will just accept it?” Sullivan asked.

”Yes.” Nathan nodded with a serious expression. ”I didnʼt expect Your Holiness to be here, but this is actually working perfectly for me.

”As the figurehead of the kingdom who is standing at the very front against the alien, Iʼd like you to supervise the distribution of the magic weapon to prevent it from being monopolized.”

The Pope thought for a moment. ”I think thatʼs for the best.”

”Secondly, I have no intention of leaving the kingdom for the time being. Instead of such a troublesome thing, Iʼd rather focus my attention on the current matter, which is the terrorist organization. You should know about the prophecy. Whether itʼs right or not, the terrorist organization believes it.

”If itʼs not correct, the terrorist organization will most likely use it as a justification to do something big next year. If itʼs correct, I believe they are not the main reason due to how much we have ruined their plan.

”In other words, Iʼm afraid that something even worse than what the terrorist organization can do will happen next year.”

The Pope was slightly surprised. ”I didnʼt think you would be someone who cares about that. After all, a man needs to have a big ambition instead of becoming a hero.”

”What hero? Iʼm just a selfish person. I canʼt flirt around if the world is destroyed.” Nathan chuckled.

”So, you want to save the world just so you can enjoy your harem?” Sullivan dropped his jaw to the ground.

”Who knows?” Nathan shrugged. ”Still, the threat of that prophecy canʼt be dismissed so easily.”

”Fair enough.” Sullivan nodded. ”Shouldnʼt the Holy Kingdom be more concerned about it?”

”If we have the magic weapon, we can manage the problem much better, I think. In the end, our holy knights will be able to fight at a much higher level.”

”For the time being, my master will be taking care of the development and the mass production. I have asked her to distribute it, but of course, youʼre going to pay for them, right?” Nathan squinted his eyes.

”Of course!” Sullivan immediately answered.

The Pope nodded.

”In that case, please visit my master and talk about the details of the distribution with her.”

”Sure.” Sullivan crossed his arms. ”Itʼs still surprising that you choose to become famous like this. I thought you were much more calculative and planned to stay out of the public eye for as long as possible before launching your big plan.”

The Pope actually thought the same.

Nathan smiled, thinking, ʼObviously, thereʼs something I really hate. When reading a lot of novels, there are times when people are actually saying that the main characters are not worthy of the heroines.

ʼPeople keep telling the main characters such a thing that I really just want to slap those people and want the main characters to just leave that girl and come back once he is above them, telling them that theyʼre the ones not worthy of him and making them regret.

ʼUnfortunately, all those novels make the MC fall head over heels for one reason or another, which ends up annoying. I just want to gain some status to shut those people up so I donʼt have to deal with something I hate so much.ʼ

Of course, there was no way he could say this to these two. He just said, ”I can probably wait for one more year until Iʼm strong enough to defeat a warrior class alien, but it will ruin a lot of things for me. Besides, I have become the perfect person to bait the terrorist organization. I think itʼs time to ruin them for good.”

Sullivan and the Pope exchanged looks. They couldnʼt help but wonder why Nathan was so determined to end this fight.

Unbeknownst to them, Nathanʼs real aim was not the terrorist organization but the Sleeping Garden.
