Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 404: Shocking the Azilia Kingdom

Azilia Kingdom Palace.

Rudeus wasnʼt the only one to return to the palace to report this matter.

After learning about the presentation, Flora and Noelle had no other choice but to return to the palace and report the matter personally.

”They…” Both of their fathers looked shocked. Even the king couldnʼt help but stand up.

There was only the prime minister in the room so that this information wouldnʼt cause chaos inside the palace. In the end, there were too many political parties that might end up harming Nathan, so they needed to vacate the hall. Not even the princes or other princesses were allowed to hear it, at least this soon.

Zack explained, ”This is a matter concerning the fate of the kingdom. If we let those weapons fall into the hands of other kingdoms, we will become a laughingstock. Our military will be suppressed, and most likely, that kind of deal will bring Nathan away from this kingdom.”

Juliusʼ expression darkened. At first, he thought about making Nathan gradually love the kingdom. But if he was so slow, there would be others trying to snatch him. It was as if there was no other solution but a drastic measure.

Julius turned to the prime minister. ”First of all, we need to support the registration of the summoners. In the end, this will allow us to get the information of all summoners within our territories and their strength, so itʼs beneficial for us.

”And this shows our support to him as well, so prepare for it.”

”Yes. I will immediately assemble the committee for the registration. Weʼll be prepared within a month, and as soon as the Grand Magic Tower gives the ʼgoʼ sign, weʼll immediately begin our registration.”

”A month is too long. Winter is here. A month will just let the snow pile up, which will reduce our speed. Make it two weeks.”

”Understood. I will do my best.” The prime minister nodded with a serious expression.

”As for the magic weapons…” Julius looked down, falling into deep thought. His eyes ultimately shifted to Flora.

Flora shook her head.

”You know what Iʼm thinking about?”

”I can guess. You probably want to marry me to him, which will allow you to confer a title. This way, the kingdom will gain some rights for the magic weapons.” Flora smiled wryly.

”If I say you have no choice in this matter?”

”Well, itʼs not really about my choice. He is just creating a wall between us. I donʼt know why, but he dislikes the royal family.” Flora sighed in defeat.

”Dislike us?”

”No. I donʼt think itʼs a grudge. If itʼs a grudge, he will be playing tricks on me. At least, he is smart enough to manipulate everything that can cause me to suffer. In fact, instead of Axel, he would have removed me during the student council battle. It is more like he doesnʼt want to get involved in politics.”

”Involved in politics, huh?” Julius squinted his eyes. ”Wait a minute. If I remember it correctly, he has defeated Alavenya Silveresta, the daughter of the Dragon King, right?”

”Yes.”

The prime minister and Zack noticed where this conversation was going.

Julius asked, ”Whatʼs their relationship right now? Has the Dragon King made his move for this humiliation? Is their relationship that bad, to the point where either you die or I perish?”

Flora exchanged looks with Noelle. Noelle shook her head.

Flora explained, ”No. I donʼt think thatʼs the reason.”

”Your Majesty…” Noelle opened her mouth.

”You may speak whatever you have in mind.”

”Thank you, Your Majesty. According to my grandf… I mean, Principal Sullivan. His relationship is actually good with the Dragon King. It is the Dragon Kingʼs request to fight her and defeat her. There seem to be other agreements behind the scenes, which he is not aware of.

”It can be said that the Dragon King favors him a lot. And he once told him to take advantage of whatever he brought to make the Dragon King owe him.”

Julius took a deep breath. ”Is that his plan…”

The prime minister smiled wryly. ”The Dragon King might have received a title, but he is basically living in the neutral area between the Beast Kingdom west and the Land of Death in the north.

”If their relationship is not bad, the Dragon King can shelter him in case things go wrong. If the one who pushes him to the Dragon King is us, it means thereʼs no more chance for us to get him to stay in this country. In fact, we might even become his enemy at that point. Or the Beast Kingdom, which has been out of the picture the whole time, would ask the Dragon King to bring him to them.

”After all, the magic weapons might be able to turn that mercenary group into something more terrifying than a kingdom.

”One magic weapon might not be big, but if one equips ten thousand soldiers with the magic weapons, itʼs going to be terrifying. They can simply split them into several groups and conquer cities because our knights wonʼt be able to best them since our knights canʼt wield ena.

”This is the true might of the magic weapons. And the fact that Forest Queen Vivian is working on the development, there might be other inventions bigger than magic weapons. Obviously, the Blacksmith Guild and other influences in the east will try to work with her, which will also become another shelter.”

After listening to the ministerʼs explanation, Julius pinched the bridge of his nose. ”I can finally see why Flora says he is smart enough to manipulate the student council.

”He is ready to be famous. By creating several safety nets, he can simply go. I bet Vivian is not the only one backing him. There must be someone who can help him leave, even if Sullivan and others encircle him. Thatʼs how he has been advancing with the investigation of the terrorist organization after all.”

”What should we do then?”
